I walk out onto the plains. The grass has healed from the former attack on it. The frigidness completely gone. I explore the plains. The land is very vast and the sea of grass never seems to end. The tall grass encircles me, the cicadas are chirping melodically. The sun has risen. The land is glowing in its presence. It is very tranquil. I can't seem to help but get mesmerized by the stunning mountains and the fauna.
What would life be like without: all the theatrical drama, the desire for unyielding power, greed for mountains of wealth?
Well, I'm part of that problem
I see a school of carp leap out of the river
These fish never venture out of their pond. They follow their unchanging cycle for eternity. And yet, they do not wish to end it. Why do we feel the need to diverge. What if civilization never developed and life remained nomadic? Life would be so blissful and free as if Gaia herself embraced us. Without the ever-ending pattern of hatred, people hate-war happens-millions of lives lost, then our karma comes for us with never ending disasters: unending plagues, furious tornadoes, intense droughts. I, too, wish for life to simpler but it cannot. We venture out of what was bestowed upon us. I wish to see humanities at the their highest, at their lowest, and to their demise. For that reason, I must attain eternal life.
I hear a soft rustle in the bushes. Out comes a snow like hare, it is about 70 centimeters in length, it is like most hares despite one thing. It has antlers resembling antelope . This is the rank 1 middle grade beast, the anthare. Despite being a mix of 2 herbivores, this beast relies on the flesh of its prey. Its thorny antlers are like that of a porcupines needles, when they seep through its prey, removing it will only cause more harm. Plently of unknowing children have been gravely injured assuming it was a docile creature. It has a distinct ability that offsets its low ranking, when it is in severe danger its antlers triple in length and become much more pungent.
I feel as the anthare spots me and I can feel its gaze. These beast go after anything, including those that are stronger than them. They'll fetch a pretty penny, its fur is about 1 bronze coin an ounce, but that is not what I will aim for. If I can get it to feel severe danger and take its antlers, those can sell for 5 silver coins. It horns are primary used to make low quality weapons.
