They had been stealthy as they left the hall. Hiraeth was about to request a carriage for both of them, but she recalled how poorly the previous journey had gone. She didn't want to spoil the delicate atmosphere that had been so carefully created between them.
Instead, Hiraeth took one of the nearby horses that were tethered to the stable.
"Come," she said to Sasha after climbing onto the horse, extending her hand towards her.
Sasha looked at her with eyes that sparkled with a mixture of love and longing, offering her hand to Hiraeth. Without a moment's hesitation, Hiraeth gently pulled her up onto the horse, placing her in front of her, their bodies close together.
The albino could feel Hiraeth's impatient breath on the back of her neck.
"Yeah!" Hiraeth shouted with enthusiasm, adjusting the reins to make the horse start moving along the desired path.
