Chapter 59: 3 Weddings But First a Mother-In-Law
The Laboratory
Afternoon
"No fair, we want a wedding too, right Roka"
"With the real you this time, not some stand in."
They stare at me.
"So you want things done in the proper order then."
""Yes""
"Felmina, Milly go to the bedroom and close the door behind you."
They all look at me like I'm crazy.
"Today people chop chop."
I clap my hands they start to move. The door closes.
I get down on one knee.
"Roka Shadow-Wolf, would you do me the honor of marrying me and becoming Roka Kaijuu?"
"So this is what you--"
"ANSWER ME"
"YES"
She jumps.
"Send Felmina in."
She's smiling from ear to ear.
"I understand"
she's holding her cheeks as she leaves.
Felmina comes in after Roka leaves.
"Come Here"
"What is this?"
"JUST COME HERE DAMMIT"
"YEEES"
She runs toward me
"Stop."
She does. She's looking at me with her finger in front of her mouth. She has curious eyes as she leans forward.
I get down on one knee.
"Felmina Shadow-Wolf formerly Felmina Morris, would you do me the honor of marrying me and becoming Felmina Kaijuu?"
She opens her arms as she leaps. Her smile is dazzling.
"Yeeeees!"
I catch her. She grabs my neck and kisses me. I put her down.
She's still smiling.
She let's go and runs over to the door and opens it.
"I know let's have 3 weddings."
"Felmina, nice Idea"
Roka gives her the thumbs up, Milly is silent looking down. I think she's panicking.
Wait what!? Did they just say 3 weddings.
I want to go object but I can't get a word in edgewise.
They chased me off. I didn't even get to say anything. I was just pushed out the door.
What should I do now?

Eventually I decided to go and see the King and officially end the whole general thing.
I had to wait until pretty late, but I did manage to settle the matter.
I am officially lord Kaijuu again.

I get to the Lab just past 1 in the morning. It was around 6 when I left.
I turn on the light.
Huh no-one's here?
Sebastian already went home for the night.
He lives about 1 block away. Back in the Moonlight district he has his own apartment built into the mansion, Since he's the head butler and all.
I walk through the lab, and turn on the light to the kitchen.
Nothing.
The bedroom.
Nothing.
I decide to check the Kitchen again.
Ah! there's a note on the Fridge.
I take it off.

Lord Kaijuu, your wives and fiancé began drinking
just after 8 o'clock, I disposed of the empty
bottles in the house before leaving and prepared
3 of my hangover sets, they are in the
refrigerator.
Trays are in the cupboard to the bottom right
of the refrigerator.
I start working at 10 tomorrow.
They moved the party to Milly's room before
I left.

The Next Morning
I find some paper and recreate the note Sebastian left for me the first time.

I then changed the last bit for the third one to say
'Your Fiancé'
I take 3 trays and stack them, then put the six glasses from the fridge on it, 3 with whiskey and 3 with wondergreen.
I distribute the weight.
I bring it to them.
I silently enter.
This place is a mess.
Roka's passed out on the bed bottle in hand, Felmina and Milly is passed out on the floor leaning on the couch hugging eachother. I walk over to the table and assemble the cures.
At around 9 o clock they come walking in from the field outside.
"We've got a problem Ryu-san"
"Morning Felmina"

"Morning you two"

They don't look that bad, That hangover cure must be working.
"You where saying?"
"Yeah, for Roka's wedding and my wedding we worked something out, since my parents are here for the post war accounting and all, but.."
Felmina walks closer
"since we started talking about our family, we found out Milly's real mother is still in the East Empire territory and she really wanted her to be there."
"I see. When do you want to hold the weddings?"
Felmina crosses her arms.
"The first wedding will be Roka's It's 2 weeks from today, then mine 1 week from that, then 1 week from that for Milly"
I look at Roka and Milly
They both nod.
Roka pipes up:
"Do you have any good ideas."
She leans forward curiously, finger on her lip.
I think a bit.
"I mean It's a 4 month trip at least, 8 months both ways and that's only if we know exactly where to find her".
Milly's shoulders droop. She sighs.
"Impossible huh, I thought so."
Roka and Felmina rush me and drag me off, they stand on either side of me with their arms around my neck, we are crouching in the corner.
They probably look like bullies trying to extort money from their victim from Milly's perspective.
"Dearest Husband"
I've learned from experience Felmina starts talking like this when she wants something from me.
She continues:
"You see last night we started bragging to her a bit about you, and it kind of got out of hand a bit."
"Kind of? what do you mean kind of?"
Roka sighs
"She didn't believe some of the things you've done, so I promised her, well we both did. We promised that you'd be able to do something about this."
Felmina lets go and goes down on her knees hands clasped together.
"Dearest Husband, please do something we beg of you. You're going to make us look bad."
She flutters her eyes at me.
Seriously.
These girls.
I sigh.
"I'll see what I can do."
""Really!?""
"Yeah"
They stand up.
They high five over my head.
They run toward Milly and hug her from either side jumping up and down.
"We told you Ryu-sama is the best, you'll see."
I get up and turn to them.
I close my eyes.
They are making a fuss, I can't think like this.
This goes on for a bit until I can't take it anymore.
"Shut up you two. I'm trying to think over here!"
They go silent.
I go take a seat on the couch, They sit across from me and stare.
"Enough, All three of you go to the bedroom and close the door."
They look dejected, shoulders drooping as they walk off.

The door from outside opens.
It's Sebastian, he's early.
I close my eyes again.
They really gave me an impossible task this time.

If I make gravity suits for horses, and have the carriage enchanted can we make it, or how about we put 2 carriages together, 2 horses pull like normal, and 2 with anti gravity suits ride in the back carriage, then we can switch them out and ride throughout the night. If we can get some guys to sleep in shifts.

No It will take too long.
I get up and start pacing.
This would be a miracle if I manage... Wait manage - Management.
I walk over to the desk and knock 4 times

Nothing.
Management intervenes when I stray from the beaten path so

I touch the door knob to go outside. I hear a folder fall on the table.
I turn around.
Roka, Felmina and Milly
We are peeking at Ryu through the door we opened just a bit.
Milly whispers
"What's he doing?"
""Just watch""
Ryu walks over to the table, picks up the folder and starts reading.
At first he's composed then he leans in.
"What!?"
then he closes the folder and puts it down.
"Fine, if that's the way you want it. I agree. You better deliver, you hear me!"
He's shaking his fist in the air.
Milly looks up at us.
"Why's he talking to himself, is he crazy?"
Roka takes a step back, crosses her arms and closes her eyes.
"No, he's going to do something again."
Felmina looks down at Milly.
"Girl, you're about to see some crazy shit."
Roka returns to her middle peeking spot.
Ryu looks a bit annoyed, then he takes a deep breath.
"Here goes."
He claps his hands twice, then slaps himself with his right hand then his left. Then snaps his fingers above his head.
We wait
His cheeks are red.

*Knock knock

We all yell. Ryu looks over, the door creepily swings open revealing us.
He sighs.
"Come on out girls."
We come out as he heads toward the door.
He opens it.
"Elizabeth White, I presume?"
"Yes but how did you, nevermind is Milly Here?"
"She is, Please come in."
He steps aside, Milly staggers as she runs.
"Mother!"
"Milly!"
They run toward one another.
They hug.
This is un fucking believable.

Things settle down a bit.

Roka and Felmina walk over and open the folder and start reading the note.

They smile awkwardly at one another.

After a bit of tea, Elizabeth starts explaining how she got here.
As it turns out, before the army reached the capital, Management contacted her and gave her instructions to follow in order to be reunited with Milly again.
She was told to make debts, and hide the money, then sell herself to a certain woman as a slave. Once she gained freedom, she went back and got the money and bought extra food, clothes, a hooded coat and a wig.
She traveled alongside the other slaves all the way back here. She bribed them using the food at first, when it ran out she started paying them to help protect her identity along the way.
Management contacted her again once she settled here.
She was then told to be at this address at exactly 10:16.
And told to knock at exactly 10:19. She took out the pocket watch she used.
'Management sent it'
She ended up spending the night.
