It would be acceptable game design if random areas of the map suddenly started getting bombed.
The fact that the surrounding buildings are, as far as I can see, extremely vulnerable to bombing, that there's probably an underground bunker at the end of the stairs I'm currently descending, and that there's little chance of encountering opponents and raising your stats by eliminating them, would drastically reduce the survival rate in bombing areas.
"When you say bombing a certain area, how powerful are the bombs you're talking about? Did you learn anything about that at school?"
"It was mentioned at school. When a certain area is marked in red on the map, that area will probably be bombed. And if it is bombed, there will be a notification about it. After that, it's all a matter of luck. It could be a big bomb that destroys the entire marked area, or it could be hundreds of tiny bombs that fall on the marked area."
