Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Winning The Jackpot, Duplicating Talent: SSS-Level Armament Haki!

As Garp left, holding Ace and Luffy, one in each hand, Leno slowly sheathed his sword. Although he owned two swords, he wasn't a dual swordsman.

[Ding! You lost to the opponent, and the talent was scanned: Armament Haki (SSS level)]

[Successfully copied talent]

[Talent Introduction: The potential of the body, indomitable, invincible; it enhances one's own defense and attack power.]

The sound of the system echoed in his mind.

What?!

Leno was shocked! He had just copied Garp's strongest Haki directly—SSS-class Armament Haki! This was a leap to the top!

The mechanical system sound, like the music of the gods, made Leno laugh uncontrollably.

"Awesome!"

Leno could feel it—a door inside his body seemed to open. A surge of energy burst forth, quickly merging with his own Armament Haki. The overwhelming sensation made him feel as though his body was about to expand.

Armament Haki and Observation Haki were inherent potentials; with constant training, anyone could unlock them. However, Haki wasn't limitless. Just like physical strength, it would deplete and gradually recover. The differences in upper limits, strength, and recovery speed defined the capabilities of Haki users.

The stronger the body, the greater its capacity. Strength was akin to forging; different steels varied in hardness and toughness. High strength equated to formidable power.

For instance, Vergo of the Donquixote Pirates had a high Haki upper limit but low strength, which allowed him to be cut down by Law. Would Garp have been defeated the same way? Not likely. Garp's Armament Haki had unparalleled limits, strength, and recovery speed, making it world-class.

Leno exhaled as he stared at his arm. Though no Haki visibly wrapped around it, the invisible force shielded him like armor.

"I've hit the jackpot!"

Leno was ecstatic. To battle against top powerhouses was to find fortune.

"Leno, are you alright?"

Kuina, Luwell, and Kuro gathered around, concerned. Leno laughed, unable to contain his joy.

Had Garp knocked him senseless?

"Ahem!"

Leno composed himself. As president, he had to maintain his image. "Yeah! I'm fine! It was amazing fighting someone like Garp!"

The three exchanged glances, surprised at Leno's fighting spirit.

Leno coughed and dusted himself off. His stomach growled.

"Ah, I'm hungry! Time to eat!"

"I'll go hunting!" Kuina offered, knowing Leno's appetite was monstrous—no matter how tired or injured, food always revived him.

Leno stopped her. "The battle scared off all the nearby animals. Let's grab something in the town!"

Kuro dragged out the drunkard hiding in the grass to guide them. After going down from the mountains, they reached the town, a slum on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Goa.

Dressed in trench coats and uniforms, Leno and his group avoided trouble. They arrived at Barrie's Casino, a two-story building guarded by a burly man. The drunkard, paid off, quickly fled.

"Welcome!" Scantily clad girls greeted them at the door.

"How can we serve you, esteemed guests?"

"Bring me all the food you have," Leno said.

"Sir, we're a casino, not—"

"Don't you serve food?" Leno asked, glancing around.

The girl laughed nervously. "We do, sir!"

Leno nodded, surveying the tidy casino, unlike the grimy underground dens he had seen before.

A suited man approached, cautioning them. "Sir, if you're here to eat, there's a restaurant opposite—"

"I've got this." Kuro stepped up, handling the situation smoothly.

"Not everything requires violence," Leno said with a smile. "Brains matter, too."

Kuro was sharp and had a knack for dealing with people. In the original plot, he loathed the pirate life and posed as a rich man in Syrup Village, winning over the locals—a testament to his cleverness, despite his past.

Soon, the table overflowed with meats, vegetables, sausages, and bread.

Barry, the casino owner, arrived and was stunned to see Leno. He recalled Leno killing Higuma and knew the bandit group's demise had begun with that act. Barry had escaped to build his new life, far more cautious than before.

Fortunately, Leno wasn't there for trouble—just information on K Rogge.
