"I was born in 1835 and have been in many wars, just the famous ones."

"Wow..." Raven was born in the 1930s and was now in her twenties. Martin was the oldest person she has ever met. There was a full 100 years difference between them.

"I hate war because I lost many friends and comrades. After the war, it took me a long time to recover. During the long years, I watched my friends and the girl I liked grow old until they died." Martin smiled and said, "After experiencing so many deaths, I've gradually gotten used to it. As long as we take it seriously when we're together, that's fine."

"I always thought we were the same age," Raven sighed.

"It's just ability. You will meet someone as amazing as me, or even more amazing than me in the future."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really. I know two guys who are even two years older than me, and we went drinking together recently."

"Wow, hahahaha... this is amazing."

"You're a lovely little girl." Martin said.

"Although I know your age, looking at you and hearing you call me a little girl, I still feel a little... weird."

"I don't say that often, only when I really feel something. The last time... the last time someone was called that was probably decades ago."

"What about last time?"

"Charles." Martin said bluntly, "I know you are brother and sister, but he offended me twice. Once he tried to explore my mind without my consent when we first met, and another time he crossed the line even though I agreed."

"I apologize to you on his behalf." Riven said regretfully.

"No, no, that's not necessary. I understand him very well, and I've already punished him a little and forgiven him. When people have relevant abilities, they always use them involuntarily. I was the same back then, but I was very careful and generally didn't experiment on others. You know, in the past few decades, people like us were monsters. We are still like that now."

"Maybe, but it depends on what you think. When you are strong enough and can protect yourself, you can decide whether to hide your ability according to your heart. If you don't care about how others see you, then it doesn't matter. If you care, then hide it. It's no big deal." Martin said.

"What if you don't have the strength?" Raven asked expectantly.

"Make yourself strong, have friends around you, and have powerful enough organizations to borrow their power. The premise is that they are worthy of your trust and will not betray or abandon you."

"I can't help but care about other people's looks at me like a monster." Raven said sadly, "If Charles hadn't taken me in, I would have been treated as a monster long ago."

"Monster? You?"

"Um." Raven hesitated, revealing her true face, blue skin, yellow eyes, dark black hair, and many small raised bumps on the skin on her face and collarbones that were exposed outside her clothes.

"Ugly, isn't it?" Raven asked. It wasn't true that it was a bit shocking at first glance, but after looking at her for a while, one can feel that she was seductive. After looking at her for a while longer, Martin still think that she has a beautiful face. Raven was in no hurry to ask further questions. At least there was no disgust in Martin's eyes, but pure admiration.

"I like your eyes, they are very beautiful." Martin said after looking at her carefully.

"Really?" Raven asked in surprise. No matter who it was, they would be disgusted when they saw her for the first time, so she wanted to hide herself.

"Look." Martin imitated Raven's current situation.

"Ah...how could that be?" Raven looked at Martin in surprise.

"You've probably never seen yourself like this before, have you?" Martin stood up and slowly turned around in front of Raven, "Do you think you're ugly?"

"No." Of course, no one would think that they were ugly.

"Your true appearance is also like me... uh, similar to me?" Raven asked excitedly.

"I'm sorry, Raven. I always use my true self." Seeing her disappointed look, Martin said, "If it makes you feel better, I can keep this face until the end of the operation. I don't care what others think of me. If necessary, such as when doing things or picking up girls, I can become anyone people like. Other than that, I don't need them to like me. I'm not a US dollar." As he spoke, Martin restored his body, then his skin turned blue, his eyes turned yellow, and bumps appeared on his body. Raven was disappointed because she thought Martin was just like her and chose to hide his true identity.

"No no, thank you, you don't have to do this." Raven said with a guilty look.

"Believe me, Raven, you don't need to care about other people's eyes. You just need to be liked by the people who are important to you. And how could the person who is important to you not like you? If he doesn't like you, then maybe he is not that important. As for strangers, even if they don't like you, so what? At most, they will say to their friends, 'Hi, I met a very strange person today... blah blah', they dare not hurt you."

"You are no longer the helpless little girl you were before. You have so many friends who can protect you. Well... Since you are so cute, I can give you a discount if you ask me for help." Martin said with a smile.

Raven has this mentality, which has a lot to do with Charles. As one of the most important people to Raven, Charles has always told her that humans and mutants should coexist peacefully. But he never told Raven how to deal with other people's strangeness towards her.

"Hahahaha" Raven was originally thinking about Martin's words, and was amused by his last comment about a discount, "I thought you were going to give it to me for free."

"Well, it's not impossible, but that has to be when we at least become friends."

"Aren't we friends? You even told me your secrets."

"Okay." Martin pretended to sigh, "We are friends now. You can come to me if you have any problems."

"Thank you. No one ever told me how to deal with my differences." Raven said with a smile.

"As long as it helps you, maybe aliens will appear in a few years or decades. Who knows what would they look like? Some may not even have a body, or their heads may be bigger than their entire bodies. Some may also be red, orange, yellow, green or any other color." Martin thought of the few memories he had, of the blue-skinned and red-skinned people.
