Back at Maddie's house, Maddie is still trying to recover from the shock and the unexplainable things she saw this night.
"My name is Ariel,"
She introduces her self to Maddie
"Well I suppose you already know my name,"
Maddie responded.
As they were talking, they heard a knock on the door,
Maddie got scared already and jumped up from the chair but Ariel pleced her hand on her chest trying to tell Maddie to calm down, Ariel went to the door and opened it with body in a pose ready for attack, as she wanted to strike, Lucas shouted
"Honey it's me,"
Ariel hugged Lucas.
"How was it ?" Ariel asked
"He was badly wounded but he is still alive," Lucas answered.
"I wasn't really expecting him to die just like that," Ariel said with sadness.
" I wish all of them would just die," she added.
" I know but you know it is not that easy," Lucas responded while caressing her hair.
"Hmnnnn hmmnn," Maddie cleared her throat and looked at them with a questioning eye.
"Oh sorry I almost forgot, how are you Maddie?"
Lucas asked.
"Not fine if you noticed," Maddie answered with a straight voice.
"Yeah, you can't be fine, a normal human being wouldn't too," Lucas said.
"Am I not normal," she asked with curiosity.
"How can you be normal when you are carrying the heir to the kindred," Lucas pointed out.
"Stop, we agreed to take it slow on her," Ariel stopped him.
"I don't understand what you are talking about, enlighten me," Maddie demanded.
Ariel sat Maddie down and said.
"I don't know how you are going to take but what do you know about your husband, jeff?" Ariel asked.
"Jeff? he ran away few months ago when I told him about my pregnant, he is such a jerk, why do you have to bring him up? Is he responsible for all this mess?" Maddie questioned.
"Calm down, first off, Jeff didn't run away... he..." Ariel paused
"He what?" Maddie asked with anger
"He... died," Ariel said as she began to feel sad.
"He what !!!" Maddie shouted and began to cry.
"We're sorry," Jeff said trying to console her.
"All the this time I thought he neglected me and ran away not knowing that he died," Maddie cried.
"Sorry..." Ariel said and consoled her by hugging her.
"How come I never knew," Maddie asked as she continued to cry.
"Brace yourself for what you are about to hear about Jeff," Lucas said.
Maddie wiped her tears and looked up to hear what he wanted to say.
"Jeff was not a human being, he is someone like us," Lucas told her.
"What !!!!" Maddie was shocked and she looked at Ariel.
"Yes," Ariel said as she nodded in affirmation.
"Ok I don't know what is going to shock me anymore,"
Maddie said in anger.
"Well, the child you have in you is one of us too," Lucas added.
"Lucas!" Ariel shouted.
"What !!!!" At this point I'm just going to die from shock.
"Lucas I said we should take it slow on her," Ariel was angry at Lucas.
"Well the dark lord is not taking it slow with his army is he ?" Lucas asked.
"Who is the dark lord again ?" Maddie questioned, at this point she is tired of asking questions as they just move from one shocker to another.
"He caused the death of Jeff," Lucas answered.
"What!! And you all are just standing here and not doing anything,"
"It's not that simple," Ariel answered with anger.
" Why?" Maddie questioned
"The last time we went to attack the dark lord most of us got killed including Jeff,"
Lucas explained
"Let me explain it to you better," Ariel said.
Maddie sat back to listen to her.
"We are the spirit beings, we are a special breed of supernatural being with magical powers and we've been around even before humans were, our King died and Jeff was supposed to be the next King but the king's younger brother in the dungeon heard about it and broke out of the dungeon to take over the kingdom and kill Jeff.
"Wait, you mean, jeff was not human?"Addie was taking all these hard to process.
"It's going to be very confusing for her," Ariel said.
"But all I know now is that I'm in danger," Maddie asked.
"Yes, you are not even safe here," Lucas replied.
"You have to start moving your important properties," Ariel said.
"You can't take all your important properties, the only thing important here is your life, afterwards we can then worry about clothes before any other properties," Lucas advised.
"What?" Maddie is still very shocked, yesterday, she thought her husband was a normal human who abandoned her, only for her to realize that he is not even human, and he died.
"Let's get moving," Ariel said.
They packed a little bag of clothes that can last Maddie for a while.
"But my pregnancy will be due in a few days, I have an appointment with my hospital on that day," maddie said our of worry.
"It seems like you are not following what we are saying, your baby is not an ordinary baby, the doctors can't handle what they will see. And the altera armies are everywhere, they will kill your child as soon as they are born," Lucas explained.
"Wow, this is serious," Maddie said.
"Let's move," Lucas said.
Ariel held Maddie very tightly with her both hands as they move outside, Ariel flew in the air, Lucas also joined them and they started flying in the air.
They finally landed at a street, and they Ariel put Maddie down.
Maddie was confused as to where they were going.
Lucas walked into the middle of the street while Ariel and Maddie were waiting.
As Lucas was walking, it seems like he was counting his footsteps after counting his footsteps to ten he stopped and bent down, and rolled his hand on the ground and breeze started blowing, and what appears to be like white portal appeared and he signalled to Maddie and Ariel to come in.
After they entered the portal, they were at another world, and this world seemed very busy and filled with different kinds creatures, like some creatures that looks like humans with many hands and many legs, some walking animals that looks just like humans, while the rest are just like regular humans, but this is a special world, there are no regular humans here.
The portal led them to a market, a serious and heavily crowded market at night.
Maddie was so shocked by what she saw , she kept her mouth wide open, she is a mere human being, who wouldn't be shocked too .
"Quick, follow me," Lucas said as he dragged Maddie along, Ariel also followed. They entered a store and closed the door as they entered.
Maddie started examining the store as it was filled with ancient materials and antiques and the store looked very dark and creepy.
"And who do we have here," a voice coming from the room said. They all turned around to see who that was. It turned out to be a woman filled with jewelries from head to toe, if she were to be a goddess, she would be the goddess of jewelries.
She had long dark hair, green eyes and a beautiful shaped face.
"Madam Mishti," Ariel said out loud as if she was honouring her.
"Mishti, we are here for what..." Before Lucas could finish his sentence madam Mishti interrupted.
"My name is madam Mishti," She shouted and her jewelries started to shake making every area around her body start jingling and ringing.
"Okay, whatever madam Mishti," Lucas said out of annoyance.
Maddie just stood there looking confused.
"Hey madam Mishti, I apologize for his behavior," Ariel apologized as she gives Lucas a very dirty look.
"Ariel, I didn't think I would see your face in a while," Madam Mishti said as she assert her gaze on Ariel.
"Yeah, me too," Ariel replied.
"And who might that be," madam Mishti asked as she looked at Maddie.
"She is the reason we are here," Lucas said.
"There is no way she..." Madam Mishti stammered as she pointed at Maddie full of shock on her face.
Maddie was still looking confused, she doesn't seem to grasp any understanding from whatever is going on right now.
Madam Mishti immediately bowed down to Maddie.
"Ok now, I'm more confused than ever, " Maddie said out loud.
"I told you, you carry our future king," Ariel whispered to Maddie.
"Oh mother of the universe, forgive me for I did not acknowledge your presence," madam Mishti cried out.
"Ok??" Maddie said.
"Our master left some things for you,"
"Bring them out," Lucas said.
"I wasn't talking to you," Madam Mishti changed the tone of her voice immediately.
Maddie was expecting madam Mishti to have stood up and brought whatever she needs but she was still bowing down.
"Why are you still here?" Maddie wondered.
"I cannot stand up without your permission your highness," madam Mishti said with her head still on the ground, that if the the floor they were standing on at that moment was soil, she would have planted herself in it just to bow.
"Oh, you have my permission, rise up, Maddie commanded.
"Your highness!!!" Madam Mishti said as she stood up and went straight to her room to take what was given to her.
"Who knew she could ever be this respectful," Ariel said.
"Very crazy woman," Lucas said.
Few minutes later, she came with a box,
"This box contain letters, and important things his Majesty wanted your son to have," she stated before she presented the box to Maddie.
Maddie received the box with confusion written clearly on her face, because the box does not seem like an ordinary box and she has no idea how she will be able to open it.
"Only the child can open the box and he can only open the box when it is time," she added.
They all paused and stood there for a minute before Ariel broke the silence.
"Won't you get her some clothes, so she can look like one of us," Ariel said
Madam Mishti immediately ran inside and directed maddie to follow her to change her dress.
After Maddie changed, they left the store and kept on moving, till they left the market and got to a strange house in the forest.
Maddie was already tired from all the journey, she just wants a place to rest, from the house, more people came out and she is not surprised, as she knows that they were not normal and were probably the same species as Lucas and Ariel.
"These are the survivors of the soldiers that fought beside your husband against the demon lord," Lucas explained.
All of them bowed down to Maddie.
"Your highness!!" They all said in unison.
"Please get up," Maddie said sincerely, she felt really sad for them and she does not also care about this royalty treatment that they are all giving her.
"You need to rest," Ariel said as she led Maddie inside to a room l, Maddie entered the room and slept.
