Recognized his voice, she turns immediately with a smile on her face, that smile fades immediately when she saw Gui Lan and Jiu Bao. "Wu Haoyu shixong, Gui Lan shixong, Jiu Bao shixong, what do I owe the pleasure of meeting you today?" She politely greets, with a smile that slightly crooked.
"...." Facing the girl that he's growing up with, she's sometimes stubborn and impatient but we'll meaning and kind. She's like the little sister he never has. Wu Haoyu can't bring himself to bully her. "Nothing, I just thought your hair look messy today. "
Qian Chen Xu smile twitch. In the morning, she spends two hours trying to style and accessories her hair in a way that not too excessive and not too modest and just perfect. And now he's telling his it's messy?! "Is... it really?" She touches her hair and see it's as good as it is in the morning. He's just telling she's ugly then.
"It's doesn't matter. Look, Qian Chen Xu shidi, I think it's best if you stay away from Zhang Cheng. He only causes trouble for you." If she gets too close, she'll be target of bullying like what he was doing,
" What are you talking nonsense about? I can do whatever I want." She frown.
" Are you always this stubborn. Just listen to what I say. You aren't dump. "
Qian ChenXu push him away, " What's wrong with you?! I know I'm not pretty and good enough for you. But it doesn't apply to anyone else, I'm tired of chasing you and being ignore like I'm nothing more than a dust on the floor!" Tears was gathering in her eyelids.
"No, Qian ChenXu shidi... " Wu Haoyu reach out to hold her hand. But he couldn't find anything to say to her, he only sees her as a little sister.
"Let me go!" Qian ChenXu push him away, Wu Haoyu instinctively hold her hand tighter.
"Listen to me."
"No! Let me go now!"
"Seriously, you really should—" Wu Haoyu got pushed to the ground by a strong force, his butt hitting a rock." —Ah!"
The two guy that been a bystander because it's too awkward to get in between, quickly rushed to help him stand up from the ground.
"Who dare?!" Wu Haoyu scream furiously. They throw him so harshly to the ground he thought his butt might be bruise. He's not a fan of pain.
"I dare." A cold voice answered. His voice has an air of maturity and yet still it's clear it belongs to a child his age.
Hearing the peculiar voice that's unlike he ever heard before, a bell ring on his head and he swiftly look up, the pain from his back instantly disappears. His hair, light-colored and shining brighter than the sun, framed a clear face and sharp jawline. His phoenix eyes radiated righteousness and justice, his straighten back looked unyielding.
Wu Haoyu's convinced that no one could surpass his enchanting and mesmerizing presence.
He already seen him multiple times from him secretly taking a few glances at him in the tournament and the canteen, not to mention he already seen him from when he was a child. But looking face to face in the present is a different.
This is not the same child that cover in rag as a cloth, dirt and bruise all over his face and was malnourished that his bones poke out! Maybe he was too enchanted by the protagonist beauty, his mouth blurted out the word without realizing it. It was not loud but everyone that's close can hear it as clear as water. "What an angelic beauty, did I die?" He genuinely thought did.
Qian Chen Xu cheeks inevitably blush with heavy shade of pink and her brows furrowed, "Wu Haoyu! What in the word are you saying?" She feels that secondhand embarrassment quite strongly. No one about 9 years old ever said those cringy and corny lines anymore.
Gui Lan and Jiu Bao was too stunned to speak, it was quiet for what feels like an hour. A leaf landed on Wu Haoyu head, and he realized what he had done. Although, Gui Lan and Jiu Bao was the first to react, they spontaneously burst into a fit of laughter.
"Hahahahaha!!" They laugh so hard that their stomach hurts and tears appear on their eyelids.
Zhang Cheng frown tighten and his gaze fixed in him with total disgust and anger, though it disappears as quickly as it appears.

'Wait... I get points just like that?' Wu Haoyu raised his brows.
This is too easy!
Wu Haoyu enthusiastically stands up and walk towards the angry Zhang Cheng meanwhile the other still in bewilderment. His mind was too clouded with the joy of getting the chiming of two-digit villain points after 5 years, and he forgot to consider about his pride. "Why look so angry, little angel? I'm not wrong, am I? Oh, yes. Even the angel I see after my death cannot be compared to your beautiful. They're ugly compared to you really!" His lips slightly twitched and he shudder from underneath his heart.
[Villain point: +10] Though the ring of the system made it all worth getting his pride aside.
Zhang Cheng face was composed and cool, like a calm mountain with deep down was a hot boiling larva ready to burst and kill everybody. "I'm afraid I miss something. Can we have an intellectual conversation?" His face is starting to crack.
Wu Haoyu's happy to finally find a way to get villain point from the protagonist without actually hurting him. He put Zhang Cheng in high regard after their previous encounter and his heart can't rest to the thought, he'll have to torture such an unfortunate child.
Of course, he tone out Zhang Cheng voice and he clears his throat, prepare act the script in his head, be a shameless and flirtatious villain! "I should I report you to the discipline institution because you just do a crime of stealing. You. Stole. My. Heart."
Qian Chen Xu actually can't stand the embarrassment she kneels down to the floor. Gui Lan and Jiu Bao hold down their urge to puke at his super ultra corny and cheesy lines. Zhang Cheng hair stand on end and he have to look away.

His point is tripled... says a lot of how terrible his pickup line is. Shameless! Too shameless! Wu Haoyu wanted to crawl in a hole of shame and buried himself in it! Despite that, his stage expression was unmoving and dedicated to his act.
Zhang Cheng blank and lifeless eyes stares at the ground, his mind is also in a state of emptiness. Despite encountering many evil villains that treat him less of than a human being, he can understand it and able to struggle to victory. This guy just shows humans can slump lower than the ground, no pride and self worth, it made him question how low human worth can be is.
"Ugh! Whatever this is I will not just stand while you're disrespecting this girl! Apologize to her."
His eyes are so sharp that it might cut through Wu Haoyu's face. Wu Haoyu hold from swallowing his saliva to prevent cancelling his unhinged and crazy acting. Their eyes though are lock together and he found something to talk about, "Your eyes are like the rarest sapphire with a hue as deep as the ocean, it suits you well. Your parents must be beautiful people too. "
".... " It was corny as it was previously, but with their eyes locked together and he can see every change of muscle in his face, there isn't a single trace of lies in his grass green eyes. Moreover, he never heard of anyone compliment his parents in any context, so he was quite stunned.
Though it didn't distract him from correcting the injustice the guy committed. "Shut your dirty mouth and apologize, now."
The girl in questions finally come to her senses from experiencing five stages of grief, the person she admires is gay! That explains a lot and yet she's still upset! "Uh... Junior Brother Zhang, it was no need for this." Qian Chen Xu still can't bring herself to look at Wu Haoyu because she might not help herself but to winches in cringe if she sees his face.
Zhang Cheng took this reaction as Qian Chen Xu afraid of Wu Haoyu and did not dare to opposed him and let him continue his harassment. He tightens his fist.
"Why should he? He did nothing wrong?!" Wu Haoyu sidekick Gui Lan step forward to defend him. "It was her that cheat on him in the first place!"
"That's not true..." Qian Chen Xu still can't lift up her head. Her appearance seems timid and pitifully, could make anyone who can see immediately wanted to protect her.
"She goes around and seducing anyone that young a talented one after another, didn't know she was such a s—" Jiu Bao didn't finish his statement before Wu Haoyu cut in, that vulgar word will steal his spotlight.
"She's the one who broke my heart, why is it that she's the victim and I'm the villain? Qian Chen Xu, if I knew you're such a bitch I wouldn't have given you a chance at all. You're not even that good looking." Now the spotlight is where it should be, Zhang Cheng is looking like he wanted to purge him from existence.

Qian Chen Xu abruptly raise her head, "Huh?! Since when—"
Zhang Cheng punch Wu Haoyu in the cheek and launch him right through the air and crash to wall. After two minutes, Wu Haoyu emerges from the dust, his head bleeding from the impact behind his head, but he was wearing a face that thirst for a fight.
He hates pain and like to avoid it as much as possible, though ironically, he likes martial arts. It's his new hobby that he acquires from practicing martial arts for the past 5 years. For him, what's more exciting than dominating the opponent simultaneously sharpen up your skill and exchanging blades with a worthy opponent!
He fixed his hair and accidentally touches the bleeding on his head, he winches in pain. Seeing the blood on his hand, he frowns. Ok, now he's angry.
The two exchange glances at each other and it wordlessly communicate, they wanted to fight. And so, they pull out their sword and fight and exchange blows at each other. The others back away because of the force they released.
None of them hold back and give each other a vital blow. However, both of them are in somewhat in a equal footing, even if Wu Haoyu supposedly have the advantage being the senior and are more powerful in raw power, Zhang Cheng are more experience in life and death situation (not to mention, a literal prodigy...) he's able to adapt quickly to his opponent fighting style.
The fight between them took too long, and it gather a commotion of crowds. It was not long the elder come and disengaged the battle between them without knowing which the winner is.
Like a villain in tale, Wu Haoyu got away with light punishment while Zhang Cheng get a heavy punishment. It was Zhang Cheng who first punch him and throw him to the wall he can't get away with that, and Wu Haoyu got Gui Lan and Jiu Bao as a witness.
After being assign to their own punishment, outside Qian ChenXu was waiting anxiously for Zhang Cheng to go out. She felt guilting being the reason for Zhang Cheng to get involved in trouble. "Zhang Cheng, please accept my apology on behalf of Wu Haoyu shixong."
"It's fine, senior sister...?" Zhang Cheng pull her up and smile politely.
Feeling his warm arm on her shoulder, her cheek blushed slightly. "Qian ChenXu, from Chen Xu meaning morning sun."
"Senior Sister Qian ChenXu have a beautiful name, it suits you very well."
At first glance anyone can tell the girl already fallen head over heels for the guy. Wu Haoyu smiles, their smiling face is contagious.
Zhang Cheng, a pure soul that always steps in when a person is in danger and with only goodness in his heart. Scheming? Framing? Betraying? Even the plan he cooked up for all this year's that didn't involve violence, he couldn't do it.

"What are you thinking about?" Ah Cheng look up at him.
I snap from my own thoughts, looking at the child holding two melted sugar candy. "Where did you buy that?"
A proud smile appears on his face, "It's Tanghulu, it's for you, Big Brother! I want to thank you for everything you've done for me. I know it's not much but it's all I can afford..." He shoves both of the sweets into my hands.
I chuckled, "You can have one, I'm not a sweet tooth." At that time, I ignored his last sentence. It's all he can afford. Of course, he barely can afford his own food and he buy it for me. To think about it now, my words are insensitive. But the child with no bad bone in him just look at him with admiration for his generosity I supposed.
He regrets not to stop the boy from buying stuff for him. Because few minutes later, he brought him a huge lantern that cover most of his body and try to give it to me. I asked him how he got it, but he didn't mutter a single word. I laugh, it was just funny how he can steal it without being detected giving how big the lantern he steals.
I wanted to return it but change my mind when a bunch of grown man running to us with red face. We ran away for a second time that night. Found a hiding place to sit for a while, I turn to Ah Cheng with a frown, "So you did steal it."
"I didn't mean to at first..." Ah Cheng curled and hugged his knees.
"So, you accidentally steal it?" I leaned to the wall beside him.
He shot me a look in between frustrated and pouting, "Big Brother are making fun of me!"
"OK, I'm sorry! It's just I'm a bit surprised you have it in you to steal something from others. You are always thoughtful and kind. It relives me, you also have some evil in you." I pinched Ah Cheng cheeks till it redden slightly, it's so fluffy and soft though how is it logical?!
"You're weird, Big Brother!" Ah Cheng break free from my grasp with a pair of red cheek which he then protected with his palm. "'Evil must not be praised'- father said it to Ah Cheng! I know Ah Cheng was wrong, I shouldn't steal. But it was just there... And it broken now..." He sadly looks at the broken lantern on the floor. A warm hand pets his head.
"Thanks, Ah Cheng." I pull his head closer to mine, forehead to forehead, it's so comfortable that I momentarily close my eyes. "Don't it again. Two chasing scenes in one night is enough!" I softly laugh, I hadn't brushed my teeth, I was not confident Ah Cheng didn't smell my bad breath. Because the next second Ah Cheng pushed me away.
I was about to ask if my breath is that bad, but he spoke first saying, "If it's for you, I can do it again..." His face was red. I brush it off as a joke but looking in his eyes, it looks like he really meant what he said. Somethings tells me it's not about just stealing.
"Hah! You're messing with me. I said no, then don't!" I gently punch him on the shoulder.
"Big Brother is not my mother! Stop treating me like a child!" Ah Cheng pout at my respond.
"Ah Cheng hates me now!" I fake a sad expression and wipe a non-exist tear from my eye.
"No, no, no! I would never hate big brother!" The kid is so gullible he fell for that terrible act.
"Just kidding!" I laugh and then pull out my tongue like a child. Out of frustration, Ah Cheng return the childish gesture and furrowed.
I wanted to surprise him; I bought the whole lantern shop! Not exactly own it, but he did buy all the lantern that might as well. The town people are not welcoming to Ah Cheng, a literal baby, what is their deal anyway? So, I buy their whole shop too just to shut them up. Of course, I didn't tell Ah Cheng about buying the shop for him because I was afraid, he will not let it go.

Knowing Zhang Cheng that one night, he cannot in his good conscious to hurt him. He did have a surprising talent of acting with only one experience in a drama club back in high school. Why did Neo give this kind of job to him? Probably to let him fail and die trying.
Though, he gives Neo a benefit of a doubt. There's one reason why he's a villain, maybe because he kind of enjoy making the kid angry. Before they parted to face their individual punishments, Wu Haoyu quietly came over, touched their shoulders together, and whispered into Zhang Cheng's ear, "it was a pleasure spending time with you, little angel."
Effortlessly, Zhang Cheng face boiled red from anger. "Why you!" What is this guy deal anyway? They've never met before!

And it was that easy. Wu Haoyu smile happily and swiftly made his escape, with the people watching can't help but blink in confusion. Are they're friends or?
He shouldn't have worried so much after all.
