I felt guilty for updating less than 5k words in the morning, so here is another chapter... But this one is to tease you guy's to see your reactions😉 for those that want Mpreg, here is the possibility if... it's one and for those who don't want it... How about it? 😅🤗🤗🤗Anyway I, the Author will write what I want💃

Two days after YiBo left, Ru finished getting ready for school and entered Zhan's room. All he seemed to do lately was lie around. Every time she saw him, he looked tired and unwell, his energy drained. He barely ate, sometimes nibbling only after Ru practically forced him. Whenever YiBo called and Ru handed Zhan the phone, he would take it but wouldn't speak. She'd give him space by leaving the room, but after a while, YiBo stopped calling since Zhan never responded.

YiBo stayed in Germany for only twelve days, unable to shake his worry about Zhan's silence. It weighed on him deeply, and despite trying to focus on work, he couldn't stop thinking about him.

Ru set down her handbag, sat beside Zhan on the bed, and asked, "Bro, why haven't you been attending school?" He looked at her but stayed silent. She continued, "Exams are coming up soon, you know. It's been almost two months since you went to a lecture. Are you just...not interested?" Still, Zhan said nothing. Ru stood up, picked up her bag, and said, "I'll leave your breakfast in the living room. You don't have to come downstairs." Quietly, Zhan said, "Thanks."

After that, Ru headed over to her Mom's room to say goodbye. Lily, noticing, asked, "Have you eaten breakfast?" Ru replied, "I will before I leave."

"And what about him?" Lily asked.

Ru answered, "If he gets up, he'll have his breakfast here in the living room."

Before leaving, Ru asked Lily's maid to bring Zhan's breakfast to the living room. Around nine o'clock, Lily left to visit a friend, returning around noon. With the house mostly empty...it was just Ru, Zhan, and the maid—the silence felt noticeable. Even more so because General was in the U.S. for a check-up and hadn't been home for three days.

When Lily got back, she noticed that Zhan's breakfast was still untouched in the living room. She found it strange and decided to check on him. She knocked on his door, then opened it to find him lying on the bed, awake but looking exhausted. Seeing her, he sat up slowly. "Why haven't you come to have breakfast?" she asked gently.

He lowered his head, not saying a word. Lily sighed and said, "Alright, come out and eat." He nodded.

She went back to the living room and asked Min to take away the old breakfast and prepare a new one. Shortly after, Zhan came slowly into the room, looking weary.

As he walked in, Lily said, "Just wait, Min will bring a new one for you soon." He nodded, and as he tried to sit on the floor, she said, "Sit on the couch, please." He did as she asked, leaning back tiredly. Lily glanced over at him now and then, noting his exhausted look but letting him be.

After a while, Zhan started to drift off when Min brought the fresh tray and set it near him before leaving. Lily said, "There's a small rug in the bedroom... why don't you bring it out here and sit on it? It'll be more comfortable than the floor."

Slowly, Zhan stood up and made his way toward Lily's bedroom. But halfway there, he began to stumble, barely keeping his balance. Lily, watching him, got up quickly, but before she could reach him, he'd already fallen to the floor. She rushed over, helped him to his feet, and led him to her bedroom, seating him on the edge of her bed. "Are you okay?" she asked softly, clearly concerned.

Zhan didn't respond, just nodded and took a deep breath. Lily left for the kitchen, brewed some tea, and returned with a warm mug. Seeing him lying down on the bed, eyes closed, she placed the mug on the nightstand, gently lifting him up a bit, saying, "It's already noon. Here, have some tea."

Zhan sat up slowly, took the mug, and started to drink, though he barely managed half before he suddenly put his hand over his mouth and bolted for the bathroom. Lily heard him retching and went to check on him, steadying him by the shoulder and saying, "Take it easy." When he finished, she helped him wash up, then took off his jacket and led him back to the bed, helping him lie down.

She watched him, concerned as he drifted off into sleep, then stepped out to call Dr. Chao, asking him to come by to check on Zhan.

***

After about thirty minutes since calling Dr. Chao, Lily sat in the living room, waiting. The door opened, and YiBo entered. She looked up at him as he walked in, took off his face cap, and greeted her politely. Lily returned his greeting, saying, "How was your trip?" He responded with, "How is everything here?" She nodded and replied, "All is well." She then asked, "Was the trip only meant to be two weeks?" YiBo rubbed his head slightly and replied, "Yes." She answered with an "Oh, alright."

YiBo looked around and asked, "The house seems quiet." Lily replied, "Ru went to school, and Tin is over at Nia's." He nodded slowly, saying, "I see…"

Lily didn't say anything further, and they sat quietly for several moments in the living room without speaking. Her phone began ringing, and upon seeing Dr. Chao's name on the screen, she answered. Dr. Chao informed her he was at the gate, and Lily replied, "Alright, Min will escort you in." YiBo observed her while she spoke, feeling anxious about asking her where Zhan was. When he arrived, he had checked Zhan's room first, only to find it empty. He even went to the guest room in Lily's section, but there was no one there. He had tried calling Ru, only to hear that she was at school and had left Zhan at home.

Once Lily finished her call, she put the phone aside. YiBo leaned back in his seat, watching her, and she noticed his gaze. "Perhaps you'd like to freshen up and find something to eat?" she suggested. He replied softly, "I'm fine." Lily then said, "In that case, please give me some space, as a guest is coming soon." Gathering his courage, YiBo asked, "Mom, did Zhan leave with Ru?" Lily responded, "Who?" YiBo hesitated and then said nothing more as Min entered with Dr. Chao.

YiBo greeted Dr. Chao politely, and Dr. Chao smiled and nodded at him, saying, "Good afternoon, Sir." YiBo replied, "Good to see you, Doctor; it's been a while." Dr. Chao chuckled, "You've been hiding." Lily rose, saying, "This way, Doctor." Dr. Chao followed her toward the bedroom, with YiBo watching them as they left the room. Unable to resist, he got up and followed them quietly to the doorway, peeking in to see Zhan lying on Lily's bed, asleep.

Dr. Chao was leaning over Zhan, checking his temperature gently. He noticed the heat radiating from Zhan's body. Standing up, he asked Lily, "How long has he been unwell?" Lily replied, "I only noticed it today." Dr. Chao nodded thoughtfully, observing as Zhan opened his eyes slowly and looked at them. Lily asked him, "How are you feeling?" He simply nodded, and Lily continued, "Alright, the Doctor will check on you; I'll give you two some space." She turned and left.

YiBo quickly stepped away from the doorway before Lily saw him, moving back to the first living room. Dr. Chao leaned closer to Zhan, examining his eyes and fingers. Calmly, he asked, "I know this may sound odd, but is there any chance you have a womb or might be dealing with a Peptic ulcer?" Zhan remained silent for a moment, then gestured that he wasn't sure. Dr. Chao followed up, "Is something preventing you from speaking?" Zhan shook his head, managing to say, "No." Dr. Chao then asked, "Alright, could you tell me how you're feeling?"

Leaning back against the bed, Zhan said softly, "I feel dizzy when I stand, and when I eat, I often feel like I'm going to be sick." He paused. Dr. Chao asked, "How long have you been experiencing this?" Zhan hesitated before replying, "Not too long." Dr. Chao nodded, "Good, go ahead and lie back down." He then left the room to inform Lily in the living room, where she sat alone, looking worried. Sitting beside her, he asked, "Mrs. Wang, does he have a husband?"

Lily replied, "That would be the man you saw earlier when you arrived." Dr. Chao raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Dr. YiBo? I hadn't realized. He's a doctor himself, yet he couldn't examine his husband and felt the need to call me. He must be really concerned."

Lily asked, "So, what seems to be the problem?" Dr. Chao smiled slightly and replied, "I can't say definitively, Mrs. Wang. There are two possibilities, but we'll need to run a few tests to know for sure. The symptoms align with either pregnancy or a Peptic ulcer. It's possible your son-in-law might be pregnant, but we shouldn't jump to conclusions."

Lily looked at him, blinking slowly, and eventually asked, "Doctor, he's a man—how could that be?" Dr. Chao explained, "Yes, I understand that. However, nowadays, some men are born with a womb and can carry a pregnancy, delivered via C-section. I'll bring in a pregnancy test kit from my car to confirm."

Lily replied, "Alright." Shortly after, Dr. Chao returned with a urine container and a pregnancy test strip. He instructed Zhan on how to use it and helped him to the bathroom as he was too dizzy to stand on his own.

Dr. Chao waited outside the bathroom, and after a few minutes, he checked the test, which was negative. After disposing of the test materials, he returned to the living room and told Lily, who was looking uneasy, that the result was negative for now but that he would take a blood sample to test for both possibilities.

----

Lily sat in the living room, unable to bring herself to check on Zhan in his room. Finally, she got up and entered.

A few hours later, YiBo returned to Lily's side of the house. By then, Dr. Chao had finished tending to Zhan. The living room was empty, but YiBo hesitated to enter the bedroom, unsure if Lily was inside. After about two minutes of indecision, he finally pushed the door open gently. Zhan was lying alone in the room, sleeping restlessly. YiBo exhaled with relief, seeing that his Mom wasn't there, and moved closer, sitting by the bed and placing a hand on Zhan's forehead, studying him intently.

He watched him quietly for about two minutes before smiling slightly. Just then, Zhan opened his eyes slowly, having only been sleeping out of sheer exhaustion. His body felt weak, and even the thought of food made him nauseous. When Zhan noticed YiBo, his expression turned cold, and he turned away. YiBo, speaking softly, asked, "How are you feeling?" Zhan scowled and tried to turn his back to him, but YiBo gently helped him sit up. In a low, worried voice, YiBo asked, "What did I do to make you ignore me for the past two weeks?"

Annoyed, Zhan said, "Just leave me alone, please." YiBo asked, "What did I do wrong?" Zhan replied, "You don't have to call me all the time since you have someone else to talk to." YiBo looked at him in surprise, and as Zhan tried to turn away, YiBo pulled him into a hug and said, "But you're the only one who's my partner. No one else matters, no matter who I talk to; they aren't my spouse."

Slowly, Zhan let out a small sob. YiBo closed his eyes, understanding that jealousy was eating at his husband. Just then, the bedroom door opened, and Lily walked in. Zhan felt like he wanted to disappear, and YiBo quickly stood up, unable to meet his mother's eyes, before turning to leave. Lily gave him a look and said shortly, "Go back and take him to your room." With that, she left the room.

YiBo scratched the back of his neck, hesitated, then turned back to Zhan and said, "Come on, let's go." Zhan gave him a look and said, "I'm not going; I'm too embarrassed." YiBo raised his eyebrows and said, "Are you saying I'm not?" Zhan lay back down, turning his back to him again. YiBo chuckled and walked out of the room.

Knowing that Lily was keeping an eye on him, YiBo composed himself, then left around 4 p.m. to go to Nia's house since they hadn't had a proper conversation yet. He was sitting in the courtyard when she came out. For the past three weeks, he'd barely recognized her. She sat down without looking at him and said, "Good afternoon." YiBo was silent, just looking at her. She looked up, surprised he hadn't responded, and he finally said quietly, "Please, tell me what's wrong, Nia. Is it Zhan?"

"If it's about him, you don't need to worry; he's fine, I assure you. Please, just trust that you have nothing to be concerned about. And remember, I owe you a lot for all you've done for me," he said. Nia replied, "This is the fifth time you've said that. Everything you say is because of what I've done for you, or you're claiming you didn't break the promise to marry me. So what I need to understand is, do you want to marry me because you feel you owe me, or because you think you made a promise that you have to keep?"

YiBo stared at her without blinking. She smiled slightly and said, "No, go ahead, answer me." He asked, "Why are you making this so complicated, Nia? Why would you think that way?" She shook her head and said, "You're the one making it complicated, YiBo. I haven't forgotten when I asked why you went driving in Zhan's house. How did you even know him, much less go to his house? But you told me that was a story for another day. So now I see it was because of him you went to his house, seeking a driver's job, to be there until you could marry him."

YiBo's eyes widened as he looked at her and said, "I swear, I'd never even seen him until I went to the house. I swear to you, Nia. And I've told you a thousand times that his father arranged our marriage. At first, Zhan didn't even know it was me he was marrying."

Nia stood up, saying, "My friends are waiting for me inside, and they need to leave soon." He watched her silently, then said, "Alright, we'll talk later. Say hi to Auntie." With that, he got up and headed to his car, while she walked back into the house.

In Zhan's parents Mansion, Grandma sat by Aunty Bing's bedside as she lay weakly, receiving IV fluids. Shu and Zhang were sitting beside her. In the room were Zhan's mother and the wife of Paa's brothers, who had all come to check on Aunty Bing, while Ms. Tu sat by the door. Grandma said, "To be honest, none of us understands Bing's illness. It started as something small, a slight cut on her forehead and a scrape on her hand, but now it's become something serious. I can't help but wonder if this could be the work of spirits."

No one else spoke in the room. A knock sounded from the living room. Grandma said, "Really, we should stop letting so many people in here for visits. You never know what's in people's hearts, and on top of that, her illness won't improve." Zan Jin was leaning by the doorway, glancing around the crowded room, his eyes shifting nervously as he scratched his dick non-stop through his long jacket. He looked entirely unlike himself.

Ms. Tu scrunched up her face at a strong odor that filled the air. Grandma covered her nose with her scarf, panicked. "Who is this? Did you poop in your pant?" she asked.

Zan Jin knelt awkwardly, mumbling, "I just came to see Aunty Bing…" At this, Aunty Bing, weakly raising one eye, looked at him. Grandma, still covering her nose in alarm, said, "What do you want with her? What could you need from her?"

Zan Jin burst into tears and said, "I…I just wanted to see if Zhan was here or to call him, please." Grandma stood quickly, backing toward the bathroom door, and said, "What is that smell?"

Zhan's mother looked at Zan Jin, taking in his words. "Why do you need to see Zhan?" she asked.

Aunty Bing, gathering her strength, sat up abruptly and said, "Young man, how could you barge into a room full of people like this? Where have you come from?"....

Next chapter will come late tomorrow, too late or next tomorrow at mid-day, because I wanted to change some parts of the story to matched the plot, and so far I don't have a single idea of how it will be😀 but definitely changes must be done.
