Chapter 6 - The Last Task

It was March of 2025, Lilly had reached two and a half months of age. Notably distinct from other infants, she had already commenced consuming baby food at two months, was capable of sitting upright independently, holding her head and neck steadily, and sitting in a highchair. Analise surmised that this could be attributed to Lilly's unique genetic makeup, incorporating elements from both the real and fictional worlds. She mentally noted to consult Countess Mary regarding this anomaly. Analise was suddenly drawn to a sound emanating from the kitchen. She descended the stairs swiftly and, upon reaching the kitchen, discovered Lilly merrily laughing while Michael Myers sat adjacent to her highchair. He was in a state of bewilderment, his face and shirt smeared with baby food. Seated at the table, Casey, Mark, Rusty, and Mick were convulsed with laughter. Analise could not suppress her amusement either. Approaching Michael and Lilly, she inquired through her laughter, "What happened?" Michael, in his characteristic whisper, responded, "I don't know, she just did this." Analise, still chuckling, suggested, "Why don't you go get cleaned up and I'll finish feeding Lilly." Michael rose and began to ascend the stairs slowly, while Lilly reached into the cupboard for another jar of baby food. Meanwhile, Mark and Rusty initiated preparations for breakfast. As Analise checked her phone, she came across a news article detailing the series of murders that she, Michael Myers, Mark, Rusty, and Mick had perpetrated, noting that law enforcement remained far from solving these cases. After breakfast, Analise retrieved the final piece of paper that outlined her last task, which her mom had hid in the attic. Upon finding it, she read it meticulously and discovered that the name inscribed was her father's brother, Danny. The note accompanying his name indicated, "Danny knew that your father was an abusive alcoholic but did nothing. Danny sexually assaulted me in 2007 when I was two months pregnant with your baby sibling, but the assault caused me to have a miscarriage. I want him to suffer greatly." This revelation ignited a profound sense of rage within Analise; she now understood why she had been an only child. Descending back to the living area, Analise conducted an online search for Danny and ascertained that he was residing in Milwaukee with his wife, Karen, and their 19-year-old daughter, Carly. Recognizing that assistance would be essential, Analise discreetly pulled Michael and Mick aside to divulge her plan.

That evening, following their dinner, Analise, Michael Myers, Mick, and Cujo assembled into the SUV and proceeded to the residence of Danny in Milwaukee. Analise was appreciative of the short distance between Brookfield and Milwaukee. Danny resided on the outskirts of Milwaukee, with his nearest neighbor being three miles down the road. Upon reaching the porch, Analise knocked on the door. When Danny answered, she addressed him in a cold, emotionless voice, "Hi, Uncle Danny." Subsequently, Michael and Mick forcefully pushed Danny inside, causing alarm to his wife and daughter. Analise remarked, "Well, this must be my Aunt Karen and Cousin Carly." Analise then turned to Danny and said, "You are the reason I never had a sibling, and you raped my mother, leading her to miscarry my sibling. Now, you will pay, and since your wife and daughter cannot be witnesses, they too must die." Suddenly, a voice from upstairs caught their attention, "Aunt Karen, what's wrong?" Analise, Michael Myers, and Mick looked up to see a young teenage boy. Analise asked, "How old are you?" The boy responded, "Eighteen." Analise whistled to Cujo, who then charged up the stairs and began mauling the young man. Karen, in tears, pleaded for them to stop, but Analise struck her. Analise then instructed, "Mick, why don't you demonstrate to Carly how her father harmed my mother? Do it in front of Danny and Karen." Mick responded, "Yes, ma'am." In the presence of Danny and Karen, Mick began to inflict the same harm on Carly that Danny had done to Analise's mother. Cujo descended the stairs with a bloody mouth. Karen screamed as Carly cried out for her. Analise looked at Michael and said, "You handle Karen." Michael began choking Karen as Analise started stabbing Danny. Michael then snapped Karen's neck. Analise whistled to Cujo, who tore out Danny's throat as he was barely breathing. Analise then commanded, "Alright, Mick, you can put Carly out of her misery." Mick obliged by stabbing Carly in the chest. Analise then doused the entire house, including the bodies, with gasoline and set it ablaze. The quartet—Analise, Michael, Mick, and Cujo—returned to the SUV and drove back home. Upon their arrival, Analise smiled at the sight of Mark, Rusty, Casey, and Lilly watching "Courage the Cowardly Dog." The dogs were sprawled throughout the living room, with Ana curled up on the table, purring in her sleep, while Church nestled in Casey's lap, purring loudly as Casey scratched his ear. Analise reminisced about the day Church appeared after she and Casey visited Countess Mary to request that she bring Church to life from the horror movie "Pet Sematary." She vividly remembered how Church had simply trotted into the house when she opened the front door. As bedtime approached, Analise provided a late-night snack of tuna to Ana and Church, while Lucas, Rufus, Cujo, Max, Shep, and Norman received canned beef. While Michael placed Lilly in her crib, Analise tucked Casey into bed. Casey inquired, "Mom, when I get old enough, can I have a horror movie girlfriend?" Analise responded, "Of course you can." After kissing Casey goodnight, Max curled up next to Casey's bed, and Church settled on his dresser. Lucas, Rufus, Cujo, Shep, Norman, and Ana were all scattered throughout the hallway, asleep. Analise bid goodnight to Mark, Rusty, and Mick before walking to Lilly's crib to kiss her on the forehead. She then got into bed and cuddled up next to Michael. They shared a kiss and slowly drifted off to sleep.
