Emma woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing on her nightstand. She groggily reached for it, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. A text from the stranger flashed on the screen:
"Good morning, beautiful. Looking forward to breakfast?"
A smile spread across her face as she remembered the previous night's events. She hadn't expected to feel this way, but there was something about him that drew her in.
After a quick shower and dressing in a casual outfit, Emma met him at a quaint café nearby. They sat at a cozy table by the window, sipping coffee and sharing stories.
As they talked, Emma realized she didn't even know his name. "I'm so sorry," she said, laughing. "I'm Emma. And you are...?"
He smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Jack. Nice to meet you, Emma."
Their conversation flowed effortlessly, like they'd known each other for years. Emma felt a connection she couldn't ignore.
As they finished their breakfast, Jack walked Emma out of the café, his hand on the small of her back. "Would you like to spend the day with me?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
Emma's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't planned on this, but she couldn't deny the spark between them. "Yes," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
