It all began in a certain motel located on the outskirts of a small town called Hillview, which has now been abandoned. Legend says; people have quite witnessed truly creepy things, but everyone usually took it as a mere story, or a stupid hallucination. People who doubted and decided to go have a look, were never heard from again, and neither were their bodies ever discovered.
One wise, but not so wise young lady decided to document on the whereabouts of these allegedly lost souls. And boy, she had the worst experience of her life. Jane was her name: she was a shy but very curious young photographer. She usually documented on the paranormal, the paranatural and other stuff of which I have no idea.
Now, when she heard of the trending mystery, she thought of it as a great opportunity to earn something from her passion. Jane thought of it as a way to finally be recognized. Little did she know that her greatest idea was about to become her greatest regret.
On one eerie, but not so foggy night, she set off to explore and probably make some money out of this seemingly great source of income. It didn't really look as scary as it might seem. But hell yeah, it was quiet. She eventually managed to reach this abandoned motel untouched. To her surprise, she didn't really see anything that looked out of the ordinary on the outside. Jane decided to go in for a look.
Immediately she went in, she didn't really notice anything strange over there either. Suddenly, the door behind her slammed shut with a loud bang. This was when things started to get real..
All the lights in the motel started to flicker randomly. In just a blink of the eye, the whole room was covered suddenly in gory blood. She instantly took her camera to start documenting what's happening. But look, in the video she was recording, everything seemed perfectly fine. Jane was really petrified by that. There was absolutely no bloody walls or floor in her video. Soon after, a certain black shadow appeared to have quickly passed by her. But then, the actual figure of what looked like something from an 80s horror film - a figure of a person with the head of a woman, the body of a mascular man, and with the legs of a horse or something. It looked really bloody too.
Jane stared in amazement for some time. This creature also stared back at Jane, as if it was mimcing her every move. She took about two steps forward, the creature also did the same. Then she waved her hand as a friendly gesture, the creature did too...
Jane mustered all the courage she had in her and asked, "What are you supposed to be?". This question seemed to have angered the creature somehow. Now, instead of walking, the creature started floating towards her. Jane made a run for the door. She kept trying to open the door, but it wouldn't even budge. She turned to look back, and everything seemed to have returned back to normal again: there was no longer any gore on the walls and floors, and neither was there a creature. She muttered to herself, "I could swear there was a creature right here, and then all the blood"...
She turned to open the door, or at least try. But this time, to her surprise, there was absolutely no door. It seemed as if she had just hit a dead end. "I could swear the door was right here" , Jane murmered. She looked back, and this time, there was gore everywhere again. And strangely too, she also heard her name in an echo, and everything in the room started making rattling noises. Jane also saw written through the blood - "Welcome home Jane!!". Jane was truly scared this time.
Suddenly, the creature appeared behind Jane and grabbed her by the neck. She managed to escape the creature's not-so-tight grip. She looked perfectly fine at first. But then, instantly, she started coughing blood uncontrollably. She fell to the ground hard. It felt as if her own soul was being sucked out of her body forcefully. Before she had a shut-eye, she saw what looked like the souls or spirits of those who have ever been there - poor victims. She went unconscious soon after.
Jane woke up and found herself in a certain lit room, with dead people all around her. Some of these bodies had their stomach cut open, showing all their internal organs. Others had already started rotting, and it reaked a lot. Most of the corpses too have completely rotten, and were left with merely bones. She took out her camera and tried to record. Soon enough, a short, lanky and faceless fellow spontaneously appeared and wrecked her camera with a certain weapon it had. The bieng suddenly and immediately raised it's dagger, ready to strike Jane with it...
