Chapter 135 - Chapter 134 - Don't Worry Because I'm Here

Times Square, New York, is a beacon of light and activity, bustling day and night like a city that never sleeps.

As the central hub of New York, it's a must-visit for anyone in the city. The vibrant streets and numerous shops create a mesmerizing atmosphere.

Amidst the crowd, a man in a black hooded suit moved slowly toward Times Square, blending in seamlessly. But if a child looked up, they would see his eyes glowing with blue pupils like shimmering lights.

This man was Max, who had recently been electrocuted and transformed into something otherworldly. After being fished out of an electric eel tank, Max had become a being of pure energy.

Before his death, Max had been just another part of the power grid, unnoticed and unappreciated. Now, he was alive in a new form, driven by a hunger for electricity.

As Max approached Times Square, the bright lights and the current flowing through the cables drew him in. He knelt on the ground, tearing open the pipes and greedily absorbing the electricity, replenishing his energy.

Passers-by thought he was just meddling with the pipes. It wasn't until a patrol officer arrived and saw Max's eerie, blue appearance that the situation escalated. The officer called for backup, and soon a group of policemen surrounded Max, aiming their guns at him.

The crowd gathered, confused and intrigued. Max was displayed on the big screens in Times Square, attracting everyone's attention. He felt an odd sense of exhilaration from being noticed.

"Hello, citizens of New York!" Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, arrived on the scene. After a period of intensive training and self-improvement, Peter had returned, ready to face new challenges.

Peter tried to calm the situation with his usual charm, but things quickly escalated. An uncoordinated sniper fired at Max, infuriating him. Max roared in anger, "You lied to me!" and released a surge of electricity towards Spider-Man.

The high-voltage shock sent Spider-Man flying into a police car. The electric current was so intense that it overpowered his web-shooters, rendering them useless.

The crowd, witnessing Spider-Man's plight, reacted with anger, forgetting who they were dealing with. Max, consumed by jealousy and rage, muttered, "Destroy everything, destroy."

Despite his lack of combat experience, Max's power grew. Spider-Man used his inertia to strike Max, but he barely flinched. Max's eyes had transformed into abyss-like pools, and he absorbed the surrounding electricity, causing the lights in Times Square to go out.

Max's energy surged, and he extended his hands, releasing a burst of blue-white electrical energy. The city plunged into darkness as glass, walls, and other objects were shattered by the crackling current. The panicked crowd fled in terror.

Max reveled in the destruction, feeling an immense sense of freedom and satisfaction. His strength and speed increased exponentially as he continued to absorb electricity.

Suddenly, Spider-Man faced another challenge: a water cannon fired by Max, which he managed to dodge. Realizing the risk of short-circuiting, Max focused on Spider-Man, who struggled without his web-shooters.

Max had evolved to the point where his body could break down into electrons and recombine, making him nearly untouchable. Spider-Man was thrown against a building and found himself severely beaten.

"It's over, Spider-Man," Max declared as he tossed Peter aside, who fell onto a police car in agony.

The screens around Times Square displayed Max's new persona, "The Electric Man," and a radio wave broadcasted his presence to a mother and daughter hiding nearby. Rachel, who was trying to enjoy the scene, was terrified. She used her telepathy to try to alter the situation, but her efforts were in vain.

Max felt a sharp sting in his mind, causing him to increase the electrical output in a fit of rage. The electric current surged toward Rachel, leaving her in a perilous state.

Just when it seemed all hope was lost, a powerful voice cut through the chaos.

"Texas Smash! Texas Smash!"

A massive shockwave of wind and energy collided with Max's electric wave, causing a tremendous explosion. As the dust settled, a muscular man with golden bangs emerged from the debris, wearing a confident smile.

"It's okay! Why ask? Because I'm here!" the man said reassuringly.

Rachel stared in awe, unable to find her voice. The news anchor, astonished, announced, "This is… this is…"

"Symbol of Peace!"

"All Might!"
