Chapter 126 - Chapter 125 - Gods and Mortals

"Buzz!"

A surge of golden energy bridged the sky and the earth, distorting the space around it. The sheer power of this energy threatened to obliterate everything in its path.

The Destroyer's most formidable weapon was the massive beam emitted from its face, capable of demolishing nearly anything. However, its effectiveness varied; if Odin could handle it, Loki's power was only a fraction of that.

Saitama, with his red-gloved fist clenched, casually unleashed a punch. Compared to the immense golden beam of light, his punch seemed almost insignificant.

"Normal punch."

The impact of Saitama's punch collided head-on with the golden beam, tearing through it effortlessly. The blast wave from his punch shattered the beam and struck the Destroyer directly.

The Destroyer was crafted from the unknown metal of the Immortal Palace. Odin's metal was known for its indestructibility, surpassing even Ulu, one of the universe's three major metals, with its formidable magic.

As the ripples on the surface of the lake intensified, dense cracks spread across the Destroyer's body like a porcelain doll shattered to pieces. The golden patterns on its twelve sides, remnants of Odin's magic, were futile in repairing the damage. The unparalleled shockwave breached the Destroyer's core.

"Impossible!!"

Loki's enraged shout echoed as he desperately channeled his magic to fortify the Destroyer. Despite his efforts, the Destroyer began to swell, expanding like a balloon.

The Destroyer's ability to deform and adjust the density of its matter allowed it to transform into different forms—solid, liquid, and gas—to mitigate the shockwave's impact.

As the Destroyer inflated, cracks continued to spread. Loki, drenched in sweat, struggled to maintain his magic. The more magic he poured in, the more it seemed to drain. The Destroyer's core still couldn't be stabilized.

Loki's frustration was evident as he dropped Odin's scepter, cutting off the magic supply.

"Damn it, those Midgardians have ruined my plan. I won't let this planet go unpunished." Loki seethed with resentment.

Without Loki's magic, the divine power within the Destroyer's body quickly dwindled. The scene turned grim.

Bang!!

A deafening explosion resonated through the town, and the Destroyer's body was blasted to pieces by the internal rampage. Metal fragments flew in all directions, creating a massive shockwave that crushed the ground.

As the dust settled, onlookers stared in disbelief at the enormous crater left behind.

"It's over? The Destroyer was just blown to pieces like that?" Vosta, a warrior from the Fairy Palace, asked in a trembling voice, astonished.

Sieff, stunned, could barely speak. "Just a punch...?"

It was unbelievable that a single punch from a mortal had obliterated the Destroyer's armor, even if Loki, the manipulator, was weak.

This led the Fairy Palace members to question if Loki had somehow created a fake Destroyer.

"Indeed," Coulson, who had been observing, said, shaking his head in disbelief. "How does one deal with such a powerful being?"

S.H.I.E.L.D. had previously speculated that Saitama's weakness might be a mental attack, given that the comics had yet to cover it.

Charles, the most powerful psychic on Earth, had already been defeated.

"...How could this happen!! Another punch? I used a normal punch," Saitama said, astonished. He knelt beside the crater, shouting into the hole, "Hey, metal weirdo, why isn't this like the previous attack!!"

Saitama, puzzled, believed the Destroyer should be stronger than this. He hadn't yet used his serious punch.

"Teacher, the person controlling this machine isn't very strong. If it were the original owner, it would be at least three times stronger than before," Gali observed.

As Gali noted the scattered metal fragments moving towards the crater's center, he added, "And this metal armor seems to be repairing itself."

"Triple? So that's it."

Saitama, taking a deep breath, rose to his feet and walked towards Thor and his group.

"Thor, you've picked up the hammer now. Do you want to..."

Jane, holding Thor's hand with a hint of fear, watched as Thor firmly grasped his hammer. Sif pulled Jane aside.

"Midgardian, I admit you are the most powerful person I have ever encountered, besides my father Odin."

Thor, as the prince of Asgard and future king, stood with his hammer, a symbol of his restored identity. He refused to back down or show fear. Asgardians are never timid.

Saitama inquired, "Odin?"

"Teacher, according to Norse mythology, Odin is the king of the gods, Thor's father," Gali explained, with a touch of pride.

Seeing Sieff and Jane's envy, Gali felt a pang of discomfort.

"Yes, Odin is the true master of the Destroyer's armor. Only he can fully wield its power."

"If I, Thor, can use the hammer to approach the gods, my father Odin is the true god, the heavenly father of the Nine Realms," Thor said, his eyes reflecting admiration.

He acknowledged the vast gap between himself and the gods, his respect for Odin evident.

"Then where is your father? I'd like to see how strong he is."

Saitama's excitement was palpable. If Odin was a real god, then surely he would be even more formidable than the previous adversary.

Thor's response was one of contempt. "You should speak respectfully. I can defeat you without my father's intervention."

Odin was revered by Thor, and any disrespect towards him was unacceptable.

Thor continued, "You bald fool, you are not worthy to see the king of the gods!"

Gali, ready to defend, raised a hand. "You dare speak like this to my teacher..."

"Stop, Gali. I'll handle this," Saitama said, cracking his neck and eyeing Thor with predatory intent.

"This is more interesting."
