Chapter 123 - Chapter 122 - Thor’s Trials

"Ohayo, Saitama-san."

Kaneki Ken, rubbing his eyes and yawning, emerged from his bedroom and headed to the bathroom. In his pajamas, Saitama was brushing his teeth, responding to Kaneki Ken with a mumbled greeting:

"Ohayo, Mr. Kaneki."

"What did you buy last night?" Kaneki Ken asked as he washed his face. Saitama and Gali had returned late the previous night, so he had already gone to bed.

"I bought chicken rolls. There are forty of them in the refrigerator. It should be fine. They're quite delicious," Saitama replied with a lackluster tone.

Last night, after kicking Loki's magical projection, Saitama had felt bored and returned home quickly. Life seemed rather mundane in this world. If it weren't for Xu Mo's reference to gods, he wouldn't know what to do.

Kaneki Ken was at a loss for words, finding it hard to understand why a big sale was such a significant event.

At that moment, Gali entered and asked, "Teacher, do you want to go today?"

"Of course, today is a big fruit sale," Saitama said eagerly, quickly finishing up, putting on his costume, and heading out with Gali.

Kaneki Ken watched them leave, feeling somewhat stunned. He muttered to himself, "Is a big sale really that necessary?"

Following last night's events, the 007 Bureau of S.H.I.E.L.D. took notice, and the situation drew Nick Fury's attention. After inquiries, Coulson reported that the incident involved alien civilization.

Under Asgard's influence, Earth was once known as Midgard and was part of the Nine Realms. This Thor might indeed be the real Thor, especially since Loki's magic had manifested.

S.H.I.E.L.D. was tasked with managing such mythical characters, and the situation seemed extremely troublesome. However, Fury instructed Coulson to treat Thor and Jane with respect. What Saitama didn't expect was that, immediately after leaving, Jane and her group were taken in for questioning.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s overbearing nature was evident.

"Jane, are you alright?" Thor and Jane had reunited, showing their affection in front of everyone, much to Coulson's annoyance.

Clearing his throat, Coulson interjected, "Ahem, Lord Thor, we need to ask you some questions."

"Although what happened last night was incredible, we still need to investigate."

S.H.I.E.L.D. began a new round of activities early in the morning, including questioning and testing the hammer. As an alien artifact, or something fabulous, S.H.I.E.L.D. was intensely interested. Thor found himself overwhelmed by their scrutiny, relying on technology to navigate the situation.

If Odin were aware of their actions, he would certainly display contempt. Despite Asgard's antiquated appearance, it was a civilization rich in magic and technology far beyond Earth's.

As events unfolded, the clear blue sky over the town began to darken, and clouds gathered ominously. A massive whirlpool formed in the sky, and a giant, colorful beam of light shot down, crashing to the ground.

Amid the chaos, a giant metal figure emerged—The Destroyer, one of Odin's greatest treasures.

In Asgard's throne room, Loki glared at Earth with a dark expression. "Ignorant mortals, this is what irritates me."

Heimdall, on the Rainbow Bridge, frowned as four warriors approached and said, "Heimdall, Loki is losing his mind."

After a moment of hesitation, Heimdall decided to assist and sent the four warriors down to Earth via the Rainbow Bridge.

Loki, seething with anger, declared, "Betrayed by everyone? Fine, let's bring death to Thor."

The Destroyer, remotely controlled, seemed to sense something and began moving toward its target.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s camp, established around Thor's Hammer, received the alert and went into emergency combat mode.

The earth shook as the Destroyer advanced, its metallic form wreaking havoc. Buildings crumbled as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, despite their efforts, were no match for the Destroyer's power. It swiftly broke through their defenses.

From a distance, the Destroyer's metal surface began to shift fluidly, and a red light circulated through its body, converging into its hands. A violent energy beam erupted, targeting the area where Thor was.

Bang!!

The ground exploded, and the beam veered off course, hitting a nearby area.

"Thor, we're here," shouted the four warriors from Asgard. The strongest among them, Worta, threw his axe at the Destroyer's arm, causing it to divert its aim.

"Are these your allies?" Coulson asked Thor, clearly frustrated.

"Yes, they're my friends, but they can't defeat the Destroyer. It's Odin's armor," Thor explained, taking Jane to safety. "The Destroyer was crafted by the finest artisans in Asgard. It possesses the power of gods, with part of their power transferred to it."

"If I'm not mistaken, the bald man must have angered Loki last night. Loki, displeased with me, sent the Destroyer down."

As Thor and the four warriors discussed the situation, Saitama's roar echoed, "Who's attacking me now?!!! This is never-ending!!" A beam of light had exploded near him, causing him to duck while holding a box of fruit.

"Teacher, the source of the attack is that robot," Gali said, identifying the Destroyer in the distance.

After a brief pause, she added, "Since it's attacked the teacher, I can't ignore it."

With that, Gali rushed off towards the Destroyer with a determined stride.

Saitama, feeling irritated by the commotion, looked up and asked, "Huh?!"
