Chapter 97 - Chapter 96 - I Am Invincible

Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, had been neglecting his studies lately, caught up in his dual life of crime-fighting and schoolwork. With the final exams approaching, he knew he had to cut back on his vigilante activities. Today, he decided to take a break from patrolling Queens.

Despite his resolve, Peter turned on the TV to catch the news. The anchor's voice crackled with urgency.

"We have a breaking news update. Please stay tuned as we connect to the scene."

The screen switched from the studio to a high-altitude view of Manhattan, New York. Armed helicopters hovered above, tanks rumbled on the streets, and soldiers marched purposefully. The police had set up a tight perimeter and were busy evacuating civilians.

What could be happening? Was it the start of World War III? Another terrorist attack? Or an alien invasion?

The viewers were on edge, their excitement palpable. Everyone was calling friends and preparing for the live broadcast.

The camera zoomed in, revealing a massive, terrifying figure nearly four meters tall. Its dark brown skin was covered in bone spurs, its limbs resembling thick pillars. The beast roared, raising a colossal fist and smashing a car to pieces, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

The monster jumped onto another car, crushing it effortlessly. It then spread its massive arms and roared at the sky, a living behemoth of destruction.

Heavy machine gun fire rained down on the creature, but it pressed on, unstoppable. Sandbags and barricades were no match for its might. The monster leapt into the air and delivered a devastating blow to an armored tank, tearing it apart with ease.

"I am invincible!!" the monster bellowed, holding up a tank like a toy and smashing it into an armed helicopter. The explosion sent wreckage raining down.

Military vehicles were nothing more than playthings for this beast, and their firepower seemed ineffective. The anti-tank rockets failed to make it budge.

The monster, known as Abomination, was a result of a transformation from a blood sample of the Hulk. Unlike the Hulk, Abomination could not revert to his human form and was permanently stuck in his monstrous state. He wielded his immense strength with a sense of purpose, eager to demonstrate his dominance.

As Abomination rampaged, the Hulk suddenly crashed down from the sky. The ground shook as he landed, creating a massive crater. Climbing out of the debris, the Hulk roared and tore at his tattered clothes, preparing for battle.

Without hesitation, the Hulk and Abomination charged at each other, fists flying. Their fight was a spectacle of chaos, demolishing everything in their path. Buildings crumbled, dust filled the air, and Broadway was left in ruins.

The Mayor of New York, furious and distraught, lashed out at the military's ineffectiveness.

At S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Trident Building, Nick Fury was furiously issuing orders.

"Has Stark been contacted yet?" Nick Fury demanded, eyes fixed on the large display showing the chaos.

"Also, reach out to the Fantastic Four. Manhattan is their territory; they can't ignore this," Commander Hill added anxiously.

Hill approached Nick Fury with a grim expression. "The President and the Security Council have ordered that these monsters must be removed from Manhattan without using weapons of mass destruction."

Manhattan, being the heart of New York's economy, was crucial. With Wall Street nearby, its destruction would have catastrophic economic consequences.

Nick Fury scowled. "How are we supposed to handle this? We're waiting on the Fantastic Four and Tony Stark to intervene."

"Reply to the Security Council that S.H.I.E.L.D. currently lacks the resources. The Hulk is a product of the Super Soldier program from General Ross's project. They knew the risks."

"Now that things have gone wrong, they only want to find a solution? Pressure the Security Council to approve the Avengers initiative. Otherwise, we'll have to rely on the military."

As Hill departed to relay the message, Nick Fury stared intently at the display, deep in thought.

Peter Parker, witnessing the devastation on TV, knew he had to act. He quickly donned his Spider-Man suit and swung into action.

The Hulk, enraged, was about to smash the remaining pillars of a crumbling building, endangering the lives of dozens of fleeing civilians.

Suddenly, a golden-red armored figure burst into the scene, grabbing the Hulk and lifting him off the ground.

"Hey, did you get my permission to do this?" Iron Man's voice came through, the suit's thrusters propelling them both away from the danger zone.

With Iron Man's intervention, the battle between the Hulk and Abomination continued, but now there was a glimmer of hope that the tide might turn.
