Chapter 78 - Chapter 77 - The Clash

"Hold your head high!" The roar of a mighty behemoth echoed across the desolate landscape. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon, a colossal creature with a hundred-meter-long, slender body and deep blue eyes radiating cold light, materialized in the air. Its crystal-like silver-white body gleamed, covered in a dazzling armor-like sheen. With wings that darkened the sky, it looked down at the battlefield, ready for combat.

As the dragon's presence stirred the air, the yellow sand lifted and swirled towards Thanos. Xu Mo, recovering from his recent thrashing, felt the sting of his wounds but knew they wouldn't hinder him for long. His abilities, including level 4 tenacity and super regeneration, ensured that such injuries were superficial.

He eyed Thanos warily. The Mad Titan's power was no secret; it was legendary, as was his ruthlessness. Thanos had defeated Hulk with ease in the films, a testament to his strength, particularly when wielding the Power Stone. Xu Mo knew his current summon, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, wasn't his trump card but a necessary diversion.

Thanos watched the dragon's arrival with unflinching calm, clapping his hands slowly. "A dragon? Fascinating," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice. "But this is futile, Earthling. You need to learn your place."

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon, sensing the challenge in Thanos's voice, narrowed its azure eyes. A deep hum filled the air as energy particles gathered rapidly, causing ripples in the space around them. The dragon opened its maw, revealing a forming white energy ball. With a powerful roar, it unleashed a devastating blast—a Burst Stream of Destruction.

The beam shot towards Thanos like a meteor, tearing through the air with a deafening boom. The explosion lit up the sky, dispersing the sand in a violent storm. When the dust settled, a massive crater, fifty meters in diameter, marred the ground where Thanos had stood.

Xu Mo observed the aftermath, surprised by the sheer power of the attack. "This power... it's like three level-3 White Wave Balls combined," he muttered, impressed yet aware it still might not be enough.

From the center of the crater, a red light emerged. Thanos, unharmed, hovered within a crimson glow. He looked at Xu Mo with cold disdain. "The gap between us is too vast. Surrender," he sneered, descending to the ground.

The Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared in fury at the sight of its unscathed opponent. Its wings beat furiously as it prepared another attack. But before it could act, Thanos vanished, reappearing in an instant before Xu Mo could react. "The difference in our strength will end this battle in a blink," Thanos whispered, his massive hand enveloping Xu Mo's face.

Time seemed to stand still as Xu Mo felt the crushing force. In the next second, he was slammed into the ground, creating a twenty-meter-wide crater. Thanos stood over him, unbothered by the dragon's enraged cries. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon charged, its claws aiming for Thanos.

Thanos looked up calmly. "Such loyalty," he remarked, catching the dragon's claw effortlessly. With a swift motion, he swung the massive creature around, flinging it across the battlefield. The dragon crashed into a distant hill, the impact sending debris flying.

Xu Mo, dazed but regenerating, quickly regained his footing. With a surge of energy, he launched three white energy balls at Thanos. They exploded on impact, finally drawing blood from the Titan's arm. Thanos glanced at the wound, his expression darkening.

"You've made me angry," Thanos growled, red energy flaring from his eyes. In an instant, heat rays shot towards Xu Mo. Xu Mo reacted instinctively, throwing up a defensive barrier of energy balls. The clash created a massive shockwave, sending him flying backwards.

As Xu Mo struggled to stabilize himself, he knew he was outmatched. Thanos's power, speed, and resilience were beyond anything he could counter with his current abilities. Desperation filled him. He needed a miracle, something to turn the tide.

Just then, the dragon's eyes glowed red, its fury undiminished. It let out a deafening roar, ready to attack once more. Thanos smirked, unaffected. He was an Eternal, born on Titan with immeasurable strength and endurance. His abilities made him nearly invincible, resistant to all forms of harm and capable of wielding cosmic energy.

Xu Mo knew he had to act fast. As Thanos charged another energy attack, Xu Mo shouted in desperation, "System, all draws, hurry!" He hoped for something, anything, that could level the playing field against this unstoppable force.
