Chapter 68 - The Morning Routine

The next morning, Deku and Ochaco quietly enter Toshinori and Ellen's room, only to stop in their tracks as they take in the scene.

The bed is completely destroyed, sheets in disarray. Toshinori stands off to the side, awkwardly looking away, while Ellen, sitting on the edge of the bed, blushes furiously.

Izuku: smirking "Well, looks like you both went wild last night."

Toshinori clears his throat, still avoiding eye contact, while Ellen covers her face in embarrassment.

Ellen: mumbling "It's not what it looks like…"

Ochaco, trying not to laugh, crosses her arms and gives them a playful look.

Ochaco: teasing "Next time, maybe consider a hotel. We don't want Hawk walking in and being shocked by just how much energy his parents still have."

Ellen's face turns an even deeper shade of red as Toshinori rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.

Toshinori: muttering "We'll keep that in mind..."

Izuku and Ochaco exchange knowing glances, trying to stifle their amusement, while Ellen tries to regain her composure.

Toshinori and Ellen are finally alone in a quiet room, the air between them warm and comfortable.

Ellen crosses her arms, a playful but scolding expression on her face as she looks at Toshinori.

Ellen: playfully scolding "You went all out last night, Toshinori! What were you thinking? You didn't have to be so… intense!"

Toshinori, leaning casually against the wall, smirks, clearly enjoying teasing her.

Toshinori: grinning "Come on, Ellen. You know I did a good job last night."

Ellen's cheeks flush, and she lightly swats him on the arm, though there's a smile on her face.

Ellen: blushing "You're impossible, you know that?"

Toshinori's teasing smirk widens as he steps even closer to Ellen, his eyes gleaming mischievously.

Toshinori: with a teasing grin "It was you who wanted me to go harder, remember? After we both broke the bed."

Ellen's face flushes deep red, and she covers her face with her hands, clearly embarrassed.

Ellen: flustered "Toshinori! You don't have to remind me of that!"

Toshinori laughs softly, clearly enjoying her reaction, and gently pulls her hands away from her face.

Toshinori: still teasing "Hey, I'm just saying—you were the one asking for more. And, well, the bed didn't stand a chance."

Ellen pouts, but she can't help but smile.

Ellen: muttering "You're impossible…"

Toshinori pulls her into a hug, his teasing tone softening as he holds her close.

Toshinori: whispering "And I wouldn't have it any other way."

Ellen enters a cozy coffee shop to meet her close friends, Shinwa and Kaori.

The small shop has a peaceful atmosphere, with soft chatter in the background and the smell of freshly brewed coffee filling the air.

Ellen spots Shinwa and Kaori already seated at a table near the window, waving her over.

Shinwa: smiling "Ellen! Over here!"

Kaori: teasingly "You're late! Busy with your husband, I bet?"

Ellen blushes slightly as she takes a seat, her mind briefly flashing back to her playful morning with Toshinori.

Ellen: smirking "You could say that. But let's not talk about him right now. What's new with you two?"

Kaori leans forward, grinning.

Kaori: teasingly "Come on, spill it, Ellen! How are things with Toshinori now that he's back?"

Ellen rolls her eyes but can't hide her smile.

Ellen: sighing "It's been… interesting, to say the least. He's still the same, teasing me like always. But, I have to admit, it's nice having him back. We've got a lot to catch up on."

Shinwa chuckles, sipping her coffee.

Shinwa: "I bet! You've both been through a lot. It's good to see you smiling again."

Ellen nods, her smile softening as she thinks about the future.

Ellen: gently "Yeah, it's been a long journey. But now… it feels like things are finally settling down."

As the conversation continues, Shinwa smiles fondly, taking a sip of her coffee before bringing up her son.

Shinwa: with a grin "Speaking of kids, I've been having my hands full with Kaisen lately."

Ellen and Kaori exchange curious looks.

Ellen: interested "Oh? How's he doing?"

Shinwa chuckles, shaking her head.

Shinwa: "He's a handful, honestly. He's got my Space Distillation powers and Ken's Dragon abilities, so it's a wild mix. And on top of that, he's as reckless as Ken."

Kaori laughs, leaning back in her chair.

Kaori: teasingly "Just like his father, huh?"

Shinwa nods, rolling her eyes but smiling.

Shinwa: "Exactly! He's always getting into trouble, pushing his powers to the limit. But… he's got a good heart. Just like Ken."

Ellen smiles, imagining the chaos but also the love in Shinwa's household.

Ellen: softly "It sounds like you've got your hands full, but he'll grow into his powers. He's got the best of both of you."

Shinwa's face softens at Ellen's words.

Shinwa: "Yeah, I hope so. Sometimes, I see so much of Ken in him that it's scary, but I wouldn't have it any other way."

Kaori sets her cup down, smiling warmly as she brings up her own son.

Kaori: thoughtfully "Well, speaking of kids with mixed powers, my son Shingen is a lot to handle, too."

Ellen raises an eyebrow, intrigued.

Ellen: curious "Oh? How's he turning out?"

Kaori chuckles, her eyes glowing with pride.

Kaori: "He's got my 8 Eyes power and Shoya's Titan abilities. It's… quite the combination. He's strong, but he's learning how to control it."

Shinwa laughs softly.

Shinwa: "That's a powerful mix! How's he managing both?"

Kaori shakes her head, smiling.

Kaori: "It's not easy. He's got the strength of a Titan and the precision of my 8 Eyes. He's still figuring out when to hold back and when to let loose. But, like his father, he's determined to master it."

Ellen smiles, imagining Shingen's unique abilities.

Ellen: supportively "With you and Shoya guiding him, he'll get there. He's got a lot of potential."

Kaori nods, her face softening with motherly pride.

Kaori: "I hope so. He's growing fast, and I just want him to stay grounded. With all that power, it's a challenge."

The conversation drifts naturally into the shared struggles of parenting, especially when it comes to their sons' recklessness.

Ellen, Shinwa, and Kaori lean back in their chairs, enjoying the relaxed vibe in the café as they exchange stories.

Ellen: laughing softly "It sounds like all our boys are taking after their dads in more ways than one."

Shinwa nods, chuckling.

Shinwa: with a grin "Kaisen is constantly getting himself into trouble. I swear, every time I turn around, he's either testing his dragon powers or trying to teleport somewhere he shouldn't."

Kaori shakes her head, smiling knowingly.

Kaori: "Shingen's no different. I caught him the other day trying to transform into his Titan form—inside the house! He thought it'd be a 'fun experiment.' I had to remind him that, unlike his dad, not everything can be rebuilt so easily."

Ellen laughs, imagining the chaos that must unfold in their homes.

Ellen: teasingly "I'm almost relieved Hawk doesn't have those kinds of powers. But he's got his own way of getting into trouble."

Shinwa smirks.

Shinwa: "They're all a handful. Reckless, just like their fathers. Ken never thinks twice before diving headfirst into danger, and now Kaisen's the same way."

Kaori: nodding "Same with Shoya and Shingen. It's like they inherited this need to push limits without a second thought. It's exhausting, but you can't help but admire their determination."

Ellen: sighing fondly "It must be in their blood. Strong dads, strong sons. I just hope they learn to control that recklessness before it gets them into real trouble."

Shinwa and Kaori share a knowing look, and they all laugh, the bond of friendship and shared motherhood easing the weight of their responsibilities.

Kaori: raising her cup one last time "To our boys—reckless, but full of potential."

Shinwa and Ellen clink their cups with hers, united in their hopes and dreams for their children, even as they brace themselves for the chaos that's sure to come.
