Shoya, known only as 03, walked into the U.A. classroom, his presence immediately drawing the attention of his classmates. Despite the stares and whispers, he remained unfazed, his mind focused on his mission to monitor and gather information.
As he took his seat, Shinso, their homeroom teacher, entered the room. He glanced at the students, noting the tension in the air.
Shinso: "Alright, everyone. Welcome to U.A. High School. Let's start with introductions. I want each of you to stand up, say your name, and tell us about your Quirk."
The students began introducing themselves one by one. When it was Shoya's turn, he stood up, his expression unreadable.
Shoya: "I'm 03. My Quirk... it's complicated."
His vague response elicited a few raised eyebrows and murmurs among his peers. Shoka, unable to contain her disdain, scoffed loudly.
Shoka: "Complicated, huh? Sounds like you're just trying to hide how weak you really are."
Shoya met her gaze calmly, his voice steady and cold.
Shoya: "I don't need your explanation. If you have a problem with me, I'm always ready for a duel."
The room fell silent, the tension palpable as the students exchanged glances. Shoka's face flushed with anger, but before she could retort, Shinso intervened.
Shinso: "That's enough. We're here to learn, not to fight each other. 03, sit down."
Shoya nodded and took his seat, his demeanor unchanged. Shoka glared at him but kept quiet, understanding that she would gain nothing from a confrontation right now.
Shinso: "Alright, moving on. Remember, you're all here to become heroes. That means working together, not against each other."
As the introductions continued, Shoya's thoughts drifted.
Shoya: "02 will join after a few days. For now, I'm not going to tell Principal Aizawa about his visit."
As Shinso continued teaching, Shoka's thoughts drifted to her brother. She couldn't stand the thought of 03 being stronger than her.
Shoka: "This little brother of mine has even forgotten how weak he is. It's time to show him his place in combat training."
When the time came for combat training, Shoka eagerly requested to spar with 03, hoping to put him in his place. Shoya, with his usual indifferent demeanor, agreed.
As they entered the arena, Shoka wasted no time launching a series of fire attacks.
Shoka: "Is this the best you can do, 03? I'm disappointed!"
Shoya casually dodged her attacks, his movements fluid and effortless. In his mind, he assessed her abilities.
Shoya: "These attacks are too slow."
Deciding to take the upper hand, Shoya used his ice abilities. Everyone was stunned by how he manipulated ice with such ease, as if he were a born fighter. Shoka found herself struggling, unable to keep up with his speed and skill.
Shoya: "What's the matter with you? I don't even know you, and yet you act like you have some grudge against me."
Shoka, infuriated, shouted back.
Shoka: "Shut up! You're just a loser!"
In a desperate move, she unleashed a powerful blast directly at Shoya's head. The class gasped in shock, and Shoka's face turned pale as she realized what she had done. But to everyone's astonishment, Shoya's head began to regenerate. He looked at her with cold indifference.
Shoya: "You're a bore."
With that, he revealed his fire abilities, causing Shoka to gasp in disbelief.
Shoka: "Fire... how did you..."
Shoya: "Doesn't matter."
He shot a powerful blast toward her, and Shoka barely managed to dodge it. The force of the blast knocked her off her feet, and she fell to her knees, defeated and humiliated.
As Shoya left the arena, leaving a humiliated Shoka behind, he spotted Izana watching from a distance. Without breaking his stride, Shoya called out to him.
Shoya: "Wasting your potential like this. I'm quite surprised."
Izana blinked in confusion, trying to grasp what Shoya meant.
Izana: "What do you mean?"
Shoya stopped and turned to face Izana, his gaze piercing.
Shoya: "You can't sense it, but I can. The power that's dormant inside you. You don't even know what you're capable of."
Izana sat alone in his room, the words of Shoya echoing in his mind. The dim light of his desk lamp cast long shadows on the walls, and he stared blankly at his reflection in the window, lost in thought.
Izana: "The power that's dormant inside me... What did he mean by that?"
He clenched his fists, frustration and regret bubbling to the surface. He thought back to the times when he had stood by, helpless, as his brother Toshinori, and their friends Ken and Shoya, were bullied and mistreated. His sister, Izumi, had threatened him time and time again, warning him to stay out of it.
Izumi: "If you step in their way, I'll make your life a living hell. Your quirk is nothing compared to mine."
Her words had always scared him, and he had chosen to remain silent, fearing the consequences of standing up to her. But now, he regretted every moment of his inaction.
Izana: "I should have done something... Anything. I failed them, especially Toshinori."
Tears welled up in his eyes and began to fall, his guilt and sorrow overwhelming him. He buried his face in his hands, the weight of his regret pressing down on him.
Izana: "I'm so sorry, Toshinori. I was too scared, too weak to protect you. And now... Now you're gone."
He remembered the way Toshinori had always looked up to him, the way he had trusted him. And yet, when Toshinori had needed him the most, he had done nothing.
Izana: "I have to find a way to make this right. I have to become stronger. Not just for myself, but for Toshinori, Ken, and Shoya."
He stood up, wiping the tears from his face. Determination burned in his eyes as he resolved to uncover the dormant power Shoya had mentioned. He would no longer be a bystander. He would fight, and he would do whatever it took to make amends for his past mistakes.
Izana: "I won't let fear control me anymore. I'll find a way to save them, no matter what it takes."
With newfound resolve, Izana began to plan his path forward, determined to awaken the power within him and protect those he had once failed.
