Chapter 125 - Chapter 122

....

Max nodded, satisfied. "Good. Now let's get this finished."

Xrak resumed his work, his hands moving faster than before. Within minutes, the super phone was complete.

Xrak handed it to Max, its black, shimmering surface cool to the touch.

"It is done," Xrak said.

"Other than the hacking capabilities, it has all the functions of a normal phone, with an advanced AI system to assist you.

I also stored the Kraxtal weaving with the necessary basic physics and mathematics you'll need to learn in order to use it to its full potential."

Max examined the phone, its sleek design unlike anything he'd ever seen. The faint hum of power beneath its surface sent a thrill through him.

....

As the last traces of energy from the workshop faded, Xrak turned to Max, who was already pocketing the sleek device with a satisfied smile.

"Before you leave, there's one more thing," spoke Xrak

Max raised an eyebrow.

"What is it?" he asked, his tone light and unbothered.

"You mentioned you had a Sealing skill. I need you to smuggle something for me.

Thirteen younglings in total. They're a part of the same race as me, and their existence is crucial for an upcoming... situation. I trust you'll get them where they need to go without incident."

Max gave him a puzzled look. "Younglings? You're talking about those miniature versions of yourself, right?"

Xrak nodded with a sharpness in his eyes that suggested this was important.

"Where do you want them dropped off?"

"There's a specific location," answered Xrak. "I'll give you the coordinates. Once you leave the dungeon, you can head there directly. Just... don't wait around after dropping them off. I don't want you to get caught in a mess."

Max thought for a moment and agreed readily, surprisingly not haggling for anything else.

After all, for the time being, he was getting a lot while paying too little. There was no need to complicate this newfound cooperation.

Moreover, it was a simple delivery mission. What would he haggle for, a free USB drive?

Max nodded as Xrak handed over a small data chip, which Max immediately slotted into his new phone.

The coordinates appeared on the screen, accompanied by a precise set of instructions.

The location was in a remote area, far from major cities, with no direct roads or obvious markers. A perfect place to avoid any potential complications.

With that, Max turned to leave.

The tiny aliens were already waiting inside a small containment unit in the corner of the workshop, their eyes blinking curiously.

Max stepped toward them, his expression indifferent as he pulled a mirror from his space ring.

"Don't worry, little guys, relax and please don't resist," Max spoke as he activated his [Mirror Prison]. With a wave of his hand, the mirror glowed brightly before absorbing the 13 tiny aliens, sealing them within its reflective surface.

Satisfied, Max took one last look at Xrak, who nodded approvingly. "Remember, just drop them off and leave. The rest is none of your concern."

"No problem."

As their conversation ended, Xrak collapsed to the ground in a pool of green blood, and the exit gate opened beside Max.

The reward of this dungeon was already used in making his phone, so Max left without a second glance at the place.

The dungeon portal shimmered as Max walked out, his wings stretching wide and carrying him swiftly into the sky.

He flew with speed and precision, checking the coordinates again on his phone as the landscape blurred beneath him.

.....

In less than 30 minutes, Max arrived at the designated drop location point. The area was secluded.

No one else was around. Max landed not too far away from the exact spot. He rested his arm on a tree, casting a quick glance around.

"Would they be okay if I just place them out here in the middle of nowhere?" wondered Max out loud.

Still, their safety was none of his business, so he walked toward the exact spot and gently placed the mirror on the ground, releasing the aliens from their sealed confinement.

Without waiting for any exchange or even a look of gratitude, Max quickly turned and launched himself back into the air. He had no interest in sticking around.

As he soared higher, the wind whipping through his hair, a small mirror fragment slipped from his hand, falling to the ground exactly 200 meters away from the drop location.

Max kept flying for another half kilometer before stopping.

He chuckled to himself as he pulled out another mirror and used [World of Mirrors].

After the strong headache that accompanied using the skill, he walked through the mirror, entering his mirror world.

As someone who valued staying alive, Max kept a healthy amount of wariness toward his new alien allies.

He wanted to see what would happen next, at the drop location, as those younglings weren't part of the plan when they discussed their cooperation.

Max suspected it had something to do with him, one way or another, so he wanted to watch.

Inside the mirror world, Max used [Mystic Eye] to clearly view the drop location.

Max watched from his position in the mirror world, his [Mystic Eye] focusing on the scene below.

A convoy of sleek cars, all black with tinted windows, pulled up to the drop location.

Several men in black suits stepped out, moving with practiced efficiency. One of them, a tall burley figure, walking in the lead, seemingly in charge.

Max recognized him immediately.

Nicholas.

As he approached the spot where the tiny aliens were gathered, he spoke into his comms-device, his voice sharp.

"What's going on here?" Nicholas demanded, his tone betraying a hint of impatience.

He needed to be somewhere else right now, yet his father called him to oversee an important job suddenly.

"I was told this was a pickup, but last night we didn't get an exact location. Now you're telling me this is the spot?"

A subordinate quickly responded, his face tight with nervousness. "Yes, sir. We received a request late last night. We had to pick up and host a bunch of dungeon inhabitants. But we didn't have the coordinates then. They only just came through like a minute ago. "

Nicholas's eyes narrowed. "Let's get this over with. I have to join Julio for the test runs as soon as possible."

The man hesitated, clearly uncomfortable with the situation, but he still went to his job.

Max raised an eyebrow as he listened in, mentally piecing together the situation.

So, Phantom Titan is not only cooperating with the vampires but with Xrak's race as well.

Max's suspicions were growing.

Xrak and his race should've been working with Phantom Titan for some time now. But they clearly don't trust them completely, otherwise they wouldn't agree to hand the Beacon to himself and not them.

Max's thoughts began to form a clearer picture.

The fact that they didn't trust Phantom Titan enough yet letting them take care of the younglings, shortly after confirming their cooperation with himself.

This revealed the full details... they must have a good reason.

Maybe these younglings aren't just any alien creatures. They could be part of a plot against Phantom Titan.

When he freed them, Max took the opportunity to scan them just to be disappointed, weak, with no skill, which made him second guess his thoughts.

He watched as Nicholas gave an order to the men, signaling them to gather the tiny aliens.

The younglings, still confused, were carefully escorted into the cars, their alien eyes blinking with uncertainty.

Max squinted his eyes, as someone who liked to act and lie he could somewhat recognize a fellow bullsh**er, and those younglings weren't good news, although he wasn't certain of his guess.

"anyway if these aliens are part of some backstab against Phantom Titan, it doesn't concern me.

Whatever danger they're facing is their problem, not mine. "

With that, Max left the mirror world, unfurled his wings, and took off, leaving the scene behind him. As he soared into the sky, his mind shifted focus. He pulled out his new phone, eager to test it.
