Aaron knocked on the door to the Don's room and just few minutes later they received the clearance to enter.The Dunn brothers entered the exquisite room to see Lucus Dunn sitting on his bed.
His expression was without emotion causing them to wonder what they did this time. Aurora sat next to the Don as usual as held his hand, like she was comforting him. Apollo and Aaron stared quietly with their hands behind them.
"You called for us."Aaron broke the silence that was growing in the lavishing room.
Suddenly Lucus Dunn cleared his throat and turned to Aurora. She looked like she could read his thoughts cause he said nothing but she immediately went to grab his drugs from his drawer and picked the water from the bedside table before gave it to him.
Leisurely, Lucus Dunn took his drugs and Apollo and Aaron exchanged glances, wondering why the Don had called them to his room.
Apollo had already seen him viewing the party from upstairs but his thoughts on Aurora's work in the decorations of the party was indecipherable.
"Yes,I did."The Don finally spoke after taking his drugs while Aurora went to put the drugs back in his drawer.
"Loud party downstairs,eh?" The Don asked and stood up. He then cleared his throat. " I must think that all our business partners are down there,"He begun."Aren't they?"The Don asked,his gaze on his sons.
"Yes, please"Apollo responded gently.
"Mm" Lucus Dunn nodded with understanding. "Is there anything you'll like us to do or tell them?" Aaron inquired politely.
"Mm" was all Lucus Dunn said. "They were asking about you"Aaron added.
Aurora was concerned.
What if the Don's Alzheimer's disease was taking place and he had forgotten the reason why he called for his sons?
"Do you have anything you want me to remind you about?"Aurora asked innocently but backed off when she received a warning glare from the Don, signaling her to back out.
Lucus Dunn cleared his throat.
"I have raised two strong boys, have I?"Lucus Dunn asked.
His sons exchanged glances before nodding.
"Are these sons smart as well?"He asked with a look they couldn't read. Apollo and Aaron's silence persisted as they stared at the Don.
"Well,I believe one in close to pleasing me." The Don said and Aaron smirked wittingly.
"Few days ago I talked you you two about my needs and only one of you is willing to make me proud." The Don added.
"Which one of you invited the sole heiress of the Cruze Empire here?" Lucus Dunn queried, his cold blue eyes darting between his two sons.
"I did."Aaron clarified. The sly smile that played on the corners of his lips were meant to anger Apollo but he kept his cool and smirked.
This was all apart of Apollo Dunn's plan....his carefully organized plan.
Apollo Dunn knew that Aaron would do whatever he could to bring Stella Cruze to the business party . That was why he didn't even bother to send her an invitation. He's not dumb after all. Knowing how much she despised him, he knew she wouldn't have come if he sent her an Invitation. Which is why he left the job to his dumb brother to do for him. And now, he was going to use this opportunity at the party for the first step in his 'mission'.
"Aaron,"The Don repeated, snapping Apollo back to reality."As if I knew. I always knew you were the one to put a wide smile on my face."He said but he didn't even smile or even smirk as he spoke.
Lucus Dunn was complicated!
" So, I suppose she has accepted to join forces with Dunn square."The Don said, almost fully delighted.
Aaron's smile disappeared and Apollo's smirk widened, knowing Stella Cruze would not accept to work with Aaron after what he did.
"What?!"The Don yelled.
He then begun coughing and Aurora got up swiftly to help him." Don't touch me!" He retorted before she could even speak. Embarrassed and alarmed, Aurora bowed her head slightly.
"You two are useless! Especially you Apollo! "With that , the Don stomped out of the luxurious room. Aurora stared quietly at the Dunn brothers for a while,concern drawn on her face. She then said nothing and followed after Lucus Dunn.
Apollo was about to leave when Aaron called him. He turned to him. " At least I'm few steps ahead of you. And you're so useless."Aaron teased.
Apollo scoffed before gaining his composure. "Firstly, I didn't have to waste my time on you. Secondly, you're few steps ahead of me, lets stress on that and lastly, I clearly heard the Don call you useless as well. Infact, you just made his condition worsen."
Apollo shook his head and left Aaron in the room with clenching fists and a gritting teeth as he was apoplectic.
As Apollo got out,he felt anger wash over him.The mere thought that he had disappointed the Don and had let Aaron beat him made his blood boil.
Not anymore! Apollo Dunn wasn't going to sit down and let his brother beat him one more time. He felt he was the one who deserved to here " I'm proud of you" from the Don and not Aaron.He was going to begin his mission today.
He was going to make that domineering sole heiress fall for him.
And he wasn't going to be called 'Useless ' again!
