Xi Ming sat cross-legged in the grass, watching Ye Jin as she continued roasting more meat over the flame. His hands clutched his share of the boar meat and skin, wrapped in a cloth.
He was irritated and annoyed.
He had spent hours setting a trap for the boar, carefully planning every detail, but who'd have known an unexpected variable would appear? More than that, her presence was unsettling to him. She had never cared about him before; she had always ignored him like everyone else.
So why... why was she helping him now? It didn't make any sense.
It was like she was a totally different person. Xi Ming shook his head aggressively, dismissing the idea. I am being foolish. She is the same person, unless another soul took over her body, which is impossible. How can another soul take over her body?
