When he was busy trying to get up, he didn't notice Enzo walking toward him. The poor student was struggling, holding his aching neck, and taking support from the wall. As he was bent over, he felt a shadow looming over him. He was confused.
He had endured enough pain for one day, and he knew it would last for a month or two. Recovery would take time. His body couldn't bear any more pain, and he knew he had to get away if he wanted to save his life.
He continued struggling to get up, putting all his weight on the wall for balance. Finally, when he managed to stand, he saw who was standing in front of him.
The next moment, he went pale. His face lost all its color. He collapsed back to the floor, losing his balance. All his effort to stand up had been in vain. His body began trembling uncontrollably.
