Enzo's pov
After a long moment of contemplation, I finally placed my trembling finger under her nose and sighed in relief. *Yes, yes, she's breathing. She's alive.* I nodded, trying to calm my racing heart, forcing myself to believe she wasn't dead.
Still, the doubt gnawed at me. I wanted to be absolutely sure. I placed my finger under her nose again, but this time I froze in shock.
"Doctor, come here! Check her! She was breathing just fine a moment ago, but now it's becoming shallow! Hurry up!" I screamed, my voice shaking.
I turned toward the doctor, only to see her sitting there, wide-eyed, frozen in place. She looked lost, her mind clearly spinning, as if she'd just witnessed something unnatural—something she couldn't comprehend.
