Leaving the building Fenris hurriedly went to buy a new set of clothes the armor he wore was bulky, uncomfortable, and worst of all ugly. Fenris wasn't the type who liked attention, he couldn't afford it considering what he was, but if he was to get noticed he definitely did not want it to be in the human casket he was wearing.
He found a tailor's shop and bought a shirt, trousers and a cloak, a cloak was the most important item he needed. When alone he opened his map, like before words, pictures, and diagrams started to appear with the little triangle showing his current location.
According to the map he was in the kingdom of Pyros of course he already knew that what he wanted to know was how far he was from his next destination.
Pyros was one of the five great kingdoms of the continent, maybe the world being named after a god, same as the rest of the four kingdoms.
Fenris came here, particularly following the trail of Luna, his friend, his savior, and his abandoner.
From their many conversations with each other she was from here, the town she was born in would take just a few days to reach. If she wasn't there then Fenris might have to give up, he's spent two years looking for her, and she left him without a word, only a letter saying he no longer needed her.
Why was he doing this, why did he travel this far just for someone who didn't have the decency to say goodbye properly, was it closure he didn't know he only knew he wanted to see her one more time.
Earlier Fenris told Sonya the Sorceress who updated his map that he planned on going North, but that was a lie.
Luna's hometown is in the east, when the bodies of the men Fenris killed are found, and when it is revealed that they weren't members of the Hunters Guild but con men who burnt an innocent girl at a stake for money, they will be looking for him, so he lied to Sonya hoping to throw them off his scent.
He's been doing this for as long as he could remember nothing to take pride in just doing what he needed to survive.
He put on the hood of the cloak and started walking, leaving the town. Walking to his destination would take three days but running, he could be there in half a day. Being a werewolf had access to an array of abilities that normal humans didn't, superhuman speed was one of them
If Fenris started to run now with all his might he'd almost be a blur running through the forest leaping through trees, the thought of that made Fenris smile.
But alas, he couldn't at least not right now, not during the day and not with any witnesses he'd have to dispose of, just to keep his secret. He'll have to have when the moon is out to truly be free.
Still walking, not out of town yet, and with the sun still in the sky, Fenris had a thought what if he didn't find Luna, what would he do then? Would you go back to trying to find out about his past, might as well the earliest childhood memory he had was him waking up in a field, and apart from grammar the only thing he remembered was his name.
He was about eight maybe nine when that happened since then he'd been alone hopping from pack to pack. Which didn't do much good since every pack he was in was found by the hunters and most of its members were killed leaving the rest to scatter.
He fled from place to place, always in fear not understanding why the world wanted him dead. Was it a crime to exist? That changed when he met Luna, a beautiful young sorceress who had a fascination for werewolves, Fenris never understood why but was grateful for it.
She taught him a great deal, about the world, about magic, about the gods that ruled it, and above all she taught Fenris how to live not just survive well she tried to anyway seeing that's all he knew her to do when she wasn't around.
Then it suddenly hit Fenris, the reason he was doing all of this. If he couldn't find Luna then he'd be all alone, he had nobody except for her in this world. What a depressing and horrifying realization.
Fenris stopped in his tracks for a while letting it sink. Getting out of his daze he noticed something the sun was about to set. "Finally", Fenris said with excitement.
Not long after the sky turned from having a yellow radiant glow to being completely dark only illuminated by millions of stars, the air grew cold and a gentle breeze continuously passed him.
Finally, the moon came out, not a full one just a half but Fenris would take it.
At night Fenris felt more powerful than he ever could during the day, he was stronger, faster, and more in tune with all of his senses.
It was like wearing a translucent blindfold, having his nose and ear clogged, having weights around his limbs then having them all stripped off when the moon shined on him.
Fenris's eyes glowed yellow brightly, his incisors elongated, his canines sharpened and his nails grew giving a thick shape. Fenris looked around, he had left the town a while ago. He stood in a forest with no humans in sight.
After the stressful day he had this was exactly what he needed to relax and take his mind off his troubles.
Fenris landed on all of his four limbs and started to prepare; he had to do this right, or there would be no point at all. "Let's Run", Fenris said with a huge smile on his face showing his abnormally sharp teeth and yellow-glowing eyes.
