Chapter 24 - We got paid

The group left the auction room, as then they saw it Jinako, as she as holding thege trident, as the Jinako looked at them, she didn't recognise them as being the ones who were the ones seeling the Trident, she then walked from the door as she whistle, as they can hear what Jinako said before fully leaving the building.

"I gess a Vacation to India was a good idea, now too sent this back home to my collection this is so Awasom".

Bhima chuckled as he watched Jinako leave. "Man, she really treats this like a video game. Collecting rare items like trophies."

Ashwatthama shrugged. "Hey, as long as she paid well, I don't care what she does with it."

Rama shook his head. "Still, a platinum-rank hunter coming all the way from Japan just to buy dungeon weapons? That family must be insanely rich."

Sita nodded. "The Snow family is one of the top hunter weapon manufacturers in the world. If they want something, they get it—no matter the price."

Karna, still thinking about his hidden power, glanced at his hand. I wonder if I should start collecting abilities like that too.

As the group stepped out of the building, the cool evening air hit them. Their pockets were full, their strength had grown, and the year was nearly over.

Ashwatthama stretched. "So, what now?"

Sita smirked. "Simple. We celebrate our success."

Rama sighed. "That means drinking, doesn't it?"

Bhima laughed. "Of course! We're hunters—what else would we do?"

As they walked down the street, the night was still young, and the future was looking bright.

Bhima then checks his phone. "Hey we got paid for the Itean we sold and the sword we bought".

Karna then spoke looking at his phone. "We got our pay check as well".

Karna looked at his money, which was more then Bhima, Ashwathama and Rama and more then Sita, he knew the reason even do the public knew he was a Diamond Rank hunter like that of many others, he was Platinum rank so his paycheck showedd that, Bhima, Rama and Ashwathama were Diamond Rank seconds highest rank anyone that awakes has a hunter can get, and Sita was a Gold rank hunter.

Ashwatthama peeked over Karna's shoulder and whistled. "Damn, look at that paycheck. You could probably buy your own personal dungeon with that amount."

Rama smirked. "That's what happens when you're a Platinum Rank. You get the best jobs, the best pay, and the most trouble."

Sita, checking her own balance, sighed. "I really need to rank up soon. Gold Rank isn't bad, but the pay gap is insane."

Bhima chuckled. "Hey, at least we all made a killing today. Between the trident sale and the sword deal, we're loaded."

Karna pocketed his phone. "Still, money isn't everything. We should be focusing on getting stronger."

Ashwatthama grinned. "Yeah, yeah, but first—we celebrate, right?"

Sita rolled her eyes. "Fine. One night out. Then, back to training."

As the group walked towards their next destination, the city lights reflected off the streets, marking the end of one successful hunt and the beginning of many more.

Later that day, Karna was in his room, after he went to eat with his friends as he wants to check his new skill, as the sun mark opens as he checks the menu

[New skill: Solar Impalement: Covers the host weapon with solar energy and fire, when using this weapon the host can throw at high speed which then can stabbed started too anything, creating a giant hole in the monster (Skill was gotten after absorbing the Naga Echo)

New Skill: Aqua Resistance: Gives the host a high resistance to Moon type magic, this includes, Water, Waves, Ice, Cold, The host can zipp to the water in high-speed, and allows the host to breath in the water, host can also walk on water when skill necks as (Skill was gotten after Absorbing the Naga Echo)]

Karna looked at the skills and nodded in approval. "Not bad… Solar Impalement is going to be devastating, and Aqua Resistance makes me nearly untouchable in water battles."

He clenched his fist, feeling the power of the sun mark pulsating slightly. "Absorbing that Naga Echo was definitely worth it. But… if this was just a minor Echo, I wonder what a full Naga Core could give me."

[That depends. The stronger the monster, the better the reward. But be warned—absorbing too much at once could overload your body.]

Karna smirked. "I'll keep that in mind. For now, I should practice controlling these new abilities before our next mission."

He stood up, ready to test out Solar Impalement in a controlled environment, already planning how he could integrate it into his combat style.

Karna then tapped the skin. "Let's see something".

[All Echo Absorbed..

1. Specter Knight (Transformation Locked)

2. Stone Guardian (Transformation Locked)

3. Naga (Transformation Locked)]

Karna looked at his hand as he spoke. "So entity living inside of me, how exactly do I unlock these monster transformation, and how exactly do I unlock them".

The entity inside Karna sighed, its voice echoing in his mind.

[You seriously don't know? Tch. Typical. Transformations aren't something you just unlock by snapping your fingers. You need to meet specific conditions.]

Karna raised an eyebrow. "And those conditions are?"

[Simple. You need to fully synchronize with the Echo's essence. Right now, you've only absorbed their power, but you haven't merged with their instincts, abilities, or traits. Once you do, the transformation will become available.]

Karna crossed his arms. "So, how do I synchronize?"

[There are three ways.

1. Experience Their Existence: Face situations where the monster's abilities would naturally be used. For example, if you want the Naga transformation, fight in water-based environments, use its Aqua Resistance to its fullest, and adapt to aquatic combat.

2. Mental Connection: Meditate and connect with the absorbed Echo. Their lingering instincts are still inside you, and you need to attune yourself to them.

3. Push Your Limits: The fastest but riskiest way—forcefully push your abilities to their breaking point. If you survive, synchronization speeds up.]

Karna nodded, deep in thought. "So, if I want the Naga transformation, I should train underwater, push my Aqua Resistance, and maybe meditate on the Echo…"

[Exactly. But be careful—rushing it could break your body.]

Karna smirked. "Sounds like a challenge."

Karna then spoke. "So basically if I want to unlock the Specter Knight I will need to go to another Ghost Type Dungeon, and too Unlock the Stone Guardian I will needs to go to another Ancient Type Dungeon".

[Good, you are figuring things out with our asking me all the questions]

Karna rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. No need to be so smug about it."

[Hmph. At least you're not completely hopeless.]

Karna ignored the remark and thought about his next steps. "So, I'll need to find a Ghost-type Dungeon for the Specter Knight and an Ancient-type Dungeon for the Stone Guardian. Do I need to fight the same type of monsters again, or just being in that environment is enough?"

[Both. Fighting them forces your instincts to adapt. Just being in the environment helps, but combat is what really accelerates synchronization. The more intense the fight, the faster you'll sync.]

Karna cracked his knuckles. "Sounds fun. Time to find some dungeons."

Rina blinked looking at Karna, it was 10 in the night, and the guy that looks he wakes up 5 in the fucking morning was Infront of her. "You want too go to a dungeon".

Karna looked at him as he spoke. "Yes, I want to join a raid party to any Ghost Type Dungeon, any rank will do, and don't lie, we all know most Ghost Type Dungeon spawn in the night'.

Rina looked at as she spoke. "But why, didn't you get your pay check for this month already".

Karna nodded. "Yeah, I did. This isn't about money. I need to fight Ghost-type monsters for... training purposes."

Rina raised an eyebrow. "Training? What, are you trying to become a Ghostbuster now?"

Karna smirked. "Something like that. So, do you know any active raid parties heading to a Ghost-type Dungeon tonight?"

Rina sighed, rubbing her temples. "You're lucky I owe you a favor. There's a mid-rank raid heading out to 'Silent Tomb' in half an hour. Mostly Diamond and Gold Rank Hunters. You sure you wanna go?"

Karna grinned. "Perfect. Count me in."

Rina checked the dungeon as he spoke. "Let see, if is a Rank B maybe A rank, I pretty sure they is good for you".

Karna then looked at her. "So where in new Delhi".

Rina scrolled through her phone before replying. "It's in the outskirts, near the old ruins outside New Delhi. The dungeon opened up yesterday, and the guild's been monitoring it. No one's cleared it yet, but the estimated rank is B, maybe pushing A if there's a strong enough boss."

Karna nodded. "Sounds like exactly what I need. Who's leading the raid?"

Rina glanced at the details. "Some Diamond Rank hunter named Vikram Singh. He's reliable but strict. You'll need to prove you're not dead weight if you want in."

Karna smirked. "I'll manage. Where's the meeting point?"

Rina sent him the location. "Warehouse 14, near the industrial zone. You've got 30 minutes."

Karna stretched. "Plenty of time. Thanks, Rina."

Rina sighed. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't die, alright?"
