Chapter 6 - 6

best to avoid any more confrontations for the day. My patience was already running thin, and I didn't need any more reasons to snap.As I finally reached my physics class, I took a deep breath, trying to calm the simmering anger inside me. I found an empty seat near the back, hoping to avoid any more drama. The professor was already at the front, writing equations on the board, and the rest of the students were settling in.I took a sip of my coffee, letting the warmth soothe me a bit. My thoughts were still racing, but I tried to focus on the lecture. This was important, after all. I needed to keep my grades up if I wanted to get through this semester unscathed. As the lecture went on, I found my mind drifting back to Hannah. There was something about our interactions that left me unsettled. Maybe it was the way she saw right through my facade, or maybe it was the fact that, despite everything, I couldn't stop thinking about her.The rest of the class passed in a blur, and before I knew it, the professor was wrapping up. I gathered my things, ready to head out and find somewhere to clear my head. As I walked out of the classroom, I saw Hannah again, standing by the door, talking to one of her friends. Our eyes met briefly, and for a moment, I thought about going over to her, trying to make things right. But the look in her eyes told me she wasn't interested in any kind of truce. Not yet, anyway. So, I turned and walked away, leaving the campus behind as I headed for my usual spot by the park. It was quiet there, a good place to think. I needed to figure out what I wanted, what my next move was going to be.As I sat on the bench, watching the leaves rustle in the wind, I couldn't help but feel like things were about to change. Maybe it was time to stop running from my problems and start facing them head-on. And maybe, just maybe, that meant dealing with whatever was going on between me and Hannah Walker. But for now, I just needed to breathe and figure out how to make it through the rest of the day without any more trouble.
