Laced into the young lady's eyes was the hostility she had toward Leonard. But soon, as she got a clearer look at his face, something seemed to drive that hostility away. Her lips twitched, and without a word, she stepped back and turned away.
'What the hell was that?'
As he pondered the strange encounter with what appeared to be a high-profile young lady, Leonard recalled what the headmaster had said about him.
'They can't bother... and that was me. Despite feeling uncomfortable, they couldn't do anything about it for some reason. That's the mystery...'
Leonard cringed at his thoughts, grimacing. 'I'm not that important, am I? Despite not knowing my real situation, I'm sure I'm no prominent figure. The documents showed that when the Academy observed me, I was badly mistreated. People are wary of me because I'm practically as good as a slave.'
