Before Leonard sat a formidable figure at the table. Without making a sound, the headmaster appeared colossal, quietly reading and checking documents. For some reason, he seemed even sterner than usual. The headmaster was always authoritative, but this time, the sudden summons added to the tension and worry Leonard felt.
"You called for me, Headmaster?"
The headmaster lowered the documents and set them aside, his gaze falling on Leonard without any particular emotion. He nodded briefly and took out a small orb.
'Is that a philosopher's stone?' Leonard wondered as the familiar silver orb rested on the table. It looked as though he had seen it just yesterday. This orb was tied to how he ended up here and how he became a Player, a gift from his parents.
"You know this orb?"
Leonard remained silent, unsure of what the headmaster implied. His silence spoke louder than words, confirming his recognition.
