Chapter 4 - Noona II

Jaehyun's eyes gazed wide open, hearing his sister's confession. While slowly his eyes lowered in pain and disappointment. Iseul saw how hurt he was but the faster he accepted how big of an inconvenience he was, the better.

"Look who lost their way here." A group of hooligans put a stop to their conversation and walked up to them.

Instead of trembling in fear, neither of them had a peak of emotion in their raven eyes. Jaehyun took a peek, his face turned cold for a mere eleven-year-old.

"Isa, do you know this kid?" A girl in a high school uniform put her arm around Iseul's shoulder and inquired.

Iseul didn't answer immediately, she looked at her younger brother. Well aware, they can't put up a fight against him. Their grandfather took on him personally to teach Jaehyun martial arts from the day he started walking. When they moved countries, he made sure Jaehyun continued to learn from the best and asked his friend to teach Jaehyun.

"Just someone I know," Iseul remarked, keeping her gaze fixated on Jaehyun.

"Heh. You two look alike though." A guy in front of her with blonde hair took a closer look at both of them and remarked; puzzled by what she meant by that.

Same raven eyes, ebony wavy hairs and pale face. They were twins except she looked older and taller than him.

"That's what I said. Just someone I know." Iseul spared a glare and repeated, keeping a straight face.

"Understood. He is your brother, isn't he?" The blonde guy laughed out, not taking it seriously.

The laughter stopped changing into a cough when a sudden pain was inflicted on his right rib cage. The guy kneeled on the ground, almost spitting out blood, causing an uproar among the group except for Iseul, who kept a straight face watching the painful face of the guy.

"Didn't you hear her?" Jaehyun spoke among the whispers, standing in front of him with a dead look on his face. "I am just someone she knows!" He yelled, kicking him in the same place. This time he was coughing out blood.

The blond guy lay on the ground, struggling to grip his breath. While the others' faces turned to sheer horror and shock seeing an eleven-year-old beating a middle schooler like that.

"Oi! What do you think you are doing kid?" Finally, one of the guys from the group walked over and called out.

"Isa, you better tell us who he is. I can't let go of someone who harms my gang. It doesn't matter if they are kids or not." The guy looked at Iseul for an answer. Iseul kept her silence, silently watching the show unfold.

Those guys consisted of middle and high schoolers. Even though Jaehyun has more experience in the field of martial arts. He had no experience when it came to street fights.

Jaehyun saw his sister being quiet. It was clear she had no interest in protecting him. If worse, she wants to see him suffer more than ever.

Jaehyun gritted his teeth, glancing over at the tall bulky guy. In no way he can win against a guy who is physically stronger and taller than him.

"No. I am not related to her anyway." Jaehyun declared, keeping a straight head.

" Very well then." The guy scoffed, launching his fist towards Jaehyun in full force. Jaehyun budged from his place, instead using his arms to block it off.

Jaehyun almost lost balance, with red marks from punches appearing on his pale skin. The guy was shocked to see that he withstand the force of his punch.

"Kid, ever thought of joining a gang?" The bulky guy asked, with a delighted smirk.

"Enough. Mike, stop it." Iseul finally spoke out, stopping whatever spiral it was going to take.

Mike glanced at Iseul grinning, "Why? The fun has just started."

Iseul just gave a sharp glare, stopping Mike from taking further action. He scoffed in frustration and walked to help the blonde guy who was on the floor.

Iseul walked over to Jaehyun and stood in front of him, "Go back home." She ordered, walking away with all the other guys.

Jaehyun wanted to call out and say,' Noona, stop.' but all that came out was nothing. He just saw his older sister's silhouette leaving.

Boom! A deafening noise came from the direction of their house, catching their attention. Iseul turned around, to smoke and dust coming from their house's direction.

She looked at her younger brother, who was still standing there. Stunned by the noise, Iseul pulled away from the girl's grip and walked towards Jaehyun.

"Let's return home," Iseul ordered, pacing towards her home with Jaehyun following her.

"Isa? Did you get scared by some noise?" The members called her out, laughing at the remarks.

"Noo…." Jaehyun stopped his words, remembering what she had said earlier. She hates it.

Iseul stopped in her tracks as her eyes landed on the scene before him. The world seemed to come to a stop. Her legs froze in place. Jaehyun saw her petrified state; curious about what would have happened. He peeked through the side and his pupils dilated in sheer horror and disbelief.
