Chereads / Yaxoc's Adventure: Act 1 / Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Invasion

Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Invasion

The invasion had begun. Yaxoc, Luna, Marcus, and the other saviors stood ready as Mr. Hight positioned himself at the front, his gaze stern and unyielding.

"Stay on guard," Mr. Hight commanded, his voice carrying authority as the saviors prepared themselves for battle.

From the opposite side, the enemy forces began to materialize, led by the infamous Hartis-O-Bolus. His black attire, emblazoned with the word "Leader," caught the attention of all present. His cruel smile flashed as he confidently approached the battlefield.

"Well, well, well, Hight... Bringing out your little toys today, I see," Hartis-O-Bolus sneered, his yellow eyes gleaming with arrogance.

Mr. Hight glared back, his expression cold. "These aren't toys. And I'll make sure you learn that firsthand. My students won't fail."

Yaxoc's gaze locked onto Hartis-O-Bolus, filled with defiance. The enemy leader noticed but brushed it off with a scoff. "Alright then," Hartis-O-Bolus said mockingly, "shall we begin?"

With that, chaos erupted as saviors and enemies clashed in a violent storm of power and destruction. Explosions, magic, and brutal attacks shook the battlefield, spreading chaos through the streets.

Yaxoc fought alongside Marcus, tearing through the larger enemies with his raw strength. He sent foes crashing into buildings, his blows shattering the ground beneath them.

"Yaxoc! Focus on the bigger ones! I'll take care of the small fries!" Marcus shouted as he unleashed bursts of magic, knocking out waves of weaker enemies.

"On it!" Yaxoc charged headfirst into the fray, plowing through the larger opponents like they were nothing, each punch sending them flying through the air.

Meanwhile, Luna was a whirlwind of precision, effortlessly dismantling the opposition with deadly accuracy. Her strikes were swift, lethal, and left no room for error.

At the center of the battlefield, Mr. Hight engaged in a fierce duel with Hartis-O-Bolus. The two exchanged blows with terrifying power.

"Too slow!" Hartis-O-Bolus roared, slamming a kick into Mr. Hight's gut, launching him backward several meters. Mr. Hight quickly regained his footing, using his telekinesis to hurl back a volley of flying pumpkins Hartis-O-Bolus had sent his way.

The fight raged on, but it was clear Hartis-O-Bolus had the upper hand.

Yaxoc, having finished his side of the battle, glanced over and saw Mr. Hight struggling against Hartis-O-Bolus. Marcus noticed too.

"Yaxoc! He needs help!"

Without hesitation, Yaxoc darted toward them, his speed so fast it blurred. Hartis-O-Bolus barely had time to register Yaxoc's approach before he was met with a devastating punch to the face. The impact sent him crashing through multiple light poles.

Hartis-O-Bolus staggered to his feet, but his alarm grew as Yaxoc appeared behind him in an instant. "What the—" Another punch slammed into his gut, creating a shockwave that rippled through the battlefield, shaking nearby buildings.

Yaxoc smirked down at him, his voice dripping with mockery. "What's wrong? Did I go too hard on you?"

Hartis-O-Bolus, seething with rage, glared back at him. "You... you'll regret that!"

With a roar, Hartis-O-Bolus unleashed his full magical potential, his body transforming into a powerful, terrifying form. His aura grew dark and immense, shaking the very ground beneath them. But Yaxoc stood unfazed, staring him down without a hint of fear.

"Oh, please," Yaxoc said with a smirk. "This isn't Halloween, pumpkin."

Before Hartis-O-Bolus could react, Yaxoc unleashed his full strength in a single, bone-crushing blow. The punch connected with Hartis-O-Bolus's chest, the sheer force of it sending him flying miles away, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

The battlefield fell silent for a moment as the dust settled. Yaxoc stood tall, his fists still clenched as he watched Hartis-O-Bolus disappear into the distance.

"Who's next?" Yaxoc muttered, cracking his knuckles, already prepared for whatever came next.

"That was an impressive fight, but unfortunately... I'm built different," a voice echoed across the battlefield as another enemy stepped out from the shadows. He wore a dark green attire with a radioactive symbol emblazoned across his chest.

"The name's Eclipsed, by the way," the figure said confidently, his tone oozing arrogance.

Marcus, Luna, Mr. Hight, and the others turned to face him, dread settling into their expressions. Everyone except Yaxoc.

"No one asked you to come here," Yaxoc said coldly, his glare unwavering.

Eclipsed laughed. "Is that all you have to say?" he chuckled again. "Not even a hint of fear? You're either very brave, or very foolish."

Yaxoc's eyes narrowed as he stepped forward, getting into his fighting stance. "Let's see just how strong you really are."

Eclipsed nodded, clearly amused. "I like that."

Luna, standing a few feet back, looked at Yaxoc with concern in her eyes. "Yaxoc... this guy's stats are ranked X+ in everything. Are you sure you can handle him?"

Without breaking his focus, Yaxoc simply nodded. He didn't need words—his resolve was clear.

The tension mounted as the two powerhouses squared off. And then, in a heartbeat, the battle began. Yaxoc charged first, his fist colliding with Eclipsed's. The impact sent shockwaves through the air, their power shaking the ground beneath them.

Fist after fist, Yaxoc and Eclipsed clashed, neither one giving an inch. Each blow created massive shockwaves, distorting the air around them and sending rubble flying from the force of their punches.

Eclipsed grinned, his eyes glowing faintly with a dangerous light. "You've got power, I'll give you that," he said mid-punch. "But I've yet to see what makes you special."

Yaxoc clenched his jaw, not responding, focusing solely on the fight. He knew this was going to take everything he had.

Yaxoc charged at Eclipsed, his fierce determination burning through the pain. He lunged with a kick, but Eclipsed dodged it effortlessly, countering with a brutal punch to Yaxoc's face. The force of the blow sent Yaxoc crashing through multiple buildings, leaving destruction in his wake.

Grunting as he stood up, Yaxoc wiped the blood from his lip, his eyes burning with resolve. "I'll get you!"

With a sudden burst of speed, his movement became nearly impossible to track—his speed skyrocketing to X+. In the blink of an eye, Yaxoc appeared in front of Eclipsed and landed a devastating punch to his face. The impact generated a massive shockwave, sending Eclipsed flying backward, tearing up the battlefield.

But Yaxoc wasn't done. Teleporting above Eclipsed as he soared through the air, Yaxoc brought his hands down in a brutal sledgehammer blow, slamming Eclipsed into a distant forest. The impact was so fierce it left a crater in the earth, trees uprooted and scattered everywhere.

Eclipsed slowly stood up, shaking off the dust and debris. His glowing eyes scanned the area as he muttered to himself, "The... forest...?" His confusion was cut short when Yaxoc suddenly appeared behind him.

Before Eclipsed could react, Yaxoc unleashed a relentless beatdown, his strength increasing exponentially from S+ to SSS+. Each blow from Yaxoc shook the earth, carving massive craters into the ground as he pummeled Eclipsed with unimaginable force. The ground trembled under the sheer power of the barrage, leaving no time for Eclipsed to recover or defend.

Yaxoc finished the beatdown with a final, bone-crushing blow, sending Eclipsed flying once more. This time, Eclipsed exploded mid-air, his body disintegrating into a massive burst of radiation that dispersed into space.

Standing amidst the destruction, Yaxoc glanced at the dissipating radiation cloud above. "Huh... I thought they'd spread through the forest, not into space," he muttered, shrugging. "Doesn't matter. Time to check on the others."

Without another word, Yaxoc sped off, the forest behind him reduced to nothing but rubble.

Yaxoc returned to the battlefield, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed the scene. Most of the saviors had fallen, scattered across the ruined landscape. Marcus, Luna, and Mr. Hight were nowhere to be seen.

"Well, that's new," Yaxoc muttered to himself.

A voice echoed through the smoke-filled air. "New, isn't it?"

Yaxoc turned to see Lucius stepping onto the battlefield, his hands dripping with blood. "I'd say, those students were just weaklings in my way. Only three saviors managed to escape." Lucius smirked. "Now, it's just you and me."

Yaxoc's body tensed, his fists clenching as he shifted into a fighting stance. "Hmph, bring it on."

Lucius smirked, flexing his fingers as if preparing for a casual fight. "Utter fool."

Without hesitation, the two clashed, fists meeting in a violent flurry of punches. Their strikes echoed like thunder, shaking the ground beneath them. Yaxoc fought with precision, looking for openings, while Lucius watched closely, studying every movement.

"I find your combat amusing, Yaxoc," Lucius remarked mid-battle, smirking as he found his moment. "But I'll be the one to finish this fight."

With a swift movement, Lucius landed a powerful punch to Yaxoc's gut, knocking the wind out of him. Yaxoc gasped, stumbling backward. "GAAH!" He clutched his stomach, trying to catch his breath. "Damn it..."

Lucius leaned in, his smirk widening. "Remember what your friends said... you really shouldn't underestimate someone like me, you absolute moron."

Yaxoc gritted his teeth, standing up straight, his eyes burning with defiance. "I may get the point, but my determination tells me otherwise!" He roared, charging forward and landing a blow twice as powerful, striking Lucius in the gut with devastating force.

Lucius stumbled back, fury flashing in his eyes. "You brat..." He began to charge an ultimate blast, a massive energy forming in his hand. "Prepare to die, lowlife scum!"

But just as the attack was about to be unleashed, time froze.

A figure stepped onto the battlefield, wearing a red hat, messy brown hair, red reading glasses, a red jacket, blue pants, and black shoes. "Time has stopped," the entity said, walking calmly across the battlefield. "No one is allowed to land an ultimate attack—not in my eyes. This fight is unfair for the protagonist and the villain."

With a casual wave of his hand, the entity erased Lucius's blast from existence. "Timelines like this cannot be disrupted while I'm around," he said, crossing his arms. "And the reader of this novel is probably wondering who I am."

The entity grinned slightly. "My name is Xavy. Also known as Y̵̡̧̲̘̩̟̼͍̳̣̹̭̥̺̯̻̲͎͎͉̼̮͕̲͎̙͕̜̩̪̮̹̟̖̆̏͛͊͗̈́̌̿̂̕̚͜͜͠0̴̧̧̨̢̨̟̮̺̱̟̤̖̦̤̥̗͓̣̭̼͕̦͚̭̤̦̻͈̮̭̘̞͖̠͔̣̝̣͎̘͇̩̘͉̼̪̋̾͌͆́̈́͛͆̅̾̈̓̏̃̔̕͝͠Č̸̨̧̧̨̧̖͈̙͉͓̘͓̳̜͖̖̤͙̠͖͓̗̯̂̈́͑̅̉̐̊̿̄͋͑͗̉͆̂͑́̏̅̈́͛̈́̈́̉̕͘͠͠!"

With that, Xavy left the timeline, and time resumed.

Lucius blinked, confused as his ultimate blast vanished. "What the...?" Realizing his power had been disabled by an invisible force, he glared, then disappeared into thin air without a word.

Yaxoc remained unfazed, glancing at the spot where Lucius had vanished. "Ugh, he's gone."

He sighed, turning and walking away from the battlefield. "Another exam tomorrow, huh?"
