This novel includes the use of two power systems, the first one is magic and the second is mana. The difference between the two, magic is considered the default supernatural prowess for any species lower than the four-dimensional beings, in context the human race and it's magical beasts.

Mana on the other hand is the supernatural prowess of four-dimensional beings above, it is a power great enough to affect the less inferior species which is why the practitioners only exists in a plane where they could use this power freely. The practitioners of course can only be deities or any other four-dimensional beings.

Rankings

For the human race there are five ranks used to certify an individual depending on how powerful their magic is.

• Mage: Mages are considered any human with magical prowess, awakening this power alone earns one the title of a mage. It the default rank for any magic practitioner.

• S-class Mages: S-class Mages in simple terms are mages who have transcended beyond the limitations of a normal mage, it is the most ideal and second highest rank a normal mage can attain. To earn this rank, a selection exam is set every year by guilds to determine who is strong and worthy enough of this rank.

• Magic Knights: There is nothing so special about this rank so to say, individuals under this rank are S-class Mages who have fully committed to the royal family of the kingdom and working under them as their bodyguards/knights.

• Sage: Sages are magic utilizers who has mastered the nature energy of their world, Sage magic is a more appropriate term for the magic power practitioners utilize. While Sage magic is the power utilized in the Mortal Realm, it is further evolved into Sage Mana in the Divine Realm.

Sage Mana is further categorized into three major types and a forbidden type.

- Dragon Sage Mana: Dragon Sage Mans just as the name depicts is the mana of the Dragons, practitioner's of this mana are referred to as Dragon Sages and the process of utilizing it it known as The Dragon Sage Mode, Dragon Sage Mana can only be learnt and mastered by supreme beings as it's origins dates back to the Dragon God itself, therefore there has been no record of a Dragon Sage in existence.

- Beast Sage Mana: Also as the name depicts, it's the mana of the primordial beasts in existence. Unlike the Dragon Sage Mana, there has been two known records of individuals, deity and human possessing this mana. Their names, Jacques Vet and Chrollo Advent. Practitioners of this mana type are known as Beast Sages.

- Arcana Sage Mana: Unlike the two Sage mana aforementioned, the origins of Arcana Sage Mana traces back to a deity. The goddess of the earth, Gaia. Arcana Sage Mana embodies the concept of life itself giving immense power over nature and immense healing capabilities. The practitioners of this Sage Mana are referred to as Arcana Sages.

- The Forbidden Sage Mana [Demon Sage Mana]: Just as Sage Mana is the embodiment of nature itself, Demon Sage Mana is the complete opposite. It embodies the concept of Abyssal energy, a dark, powerful force that originates from deep, mysterious and malevolent environment such as the Abyss or the underworld. This power is said to be created by Hades, the God of death.

• Wizard King: This rank can only be obtained by individuals who has reached the peak of the human limitations in the mortal realm, here the practitioners magic power has transcended to a level where his power exists in a space between Mana and Magic. Theoretically, it is rumored the Wizard King is the only human with magic who can pose a challenge to a deity.
