Third person's POV
Jade couldn't help but burst into laughter at the strange girl's request. Her eyes first widened in surprise and her lips parted slightly, then she let out a chuckle.
At first, it was a muffled chuckle then it became a full-blown laughter. The sound echoed through the bus, cutting through the low hum of the engine and the muted conversations of other passengers.
Some of the passengers on the bus were forced to look in the direction of the laugh, their curious gazes prickling Jade's skin.
And for the first time since they started the conversation, the strange girl's face was rid of its smile. It was her turn to be surprised. The fluorescent lights of the bus cast harsh shadows on her face, accentuating the sudden shift in her expression.
