Jade's POV
Lydia smiled brightly at my question about what a mate was and I furrowed my eyebrows. I had a guess that it was a good thing. However I had to doubt my guess when a frown crept up her face as she opened her mouth.
"You are the one who the moon goddess paired him with. You are his forever. His soulmate. The concept of a soulmate in their world means a lot more compared to ours. They only get one in a lifetime, unlike a human who can get as much as they desire, as their hearts change. If he can't be with you, he will lose his mind." Lydia explained to me and my lips parted slightly in surprise.
Hearing that I was Andrew's destined mate was so shocking. Who would have known that I meant that much to him? Was that why I had been drawn to him the very first day I set my eyes on him? How would we be together when everything was like that? Those questions raced through my mind and I was overwhelmed.
