Andrew's POV
I watched in agony as Jade walked away, her words hammering at my heart. The pain in her voice cut deeper into my heart than any physical lethal weapon could cause.
"Jade..." I muttered, wanting to stop her but my voice came out weakly. My wolf wanted me to run after her, in order to explain everything to her, but I knew it would only make things worse, at the moment.
So, I stood rooted to the spot, unable to move an inch. Then, I felt a touch on my shoulder, gently. It was Lydia.
"You need to give her some time, Andrew. This is definitely a lot for her to take in and process. She needs time." She told me gently.
I nodded at her in response and heaved a deep sigh. The earlier events replayed in my head but one particular thing that stood out the most, was Jade's horrified expression when she saw me partially shifted and then the blood on my hands.
