Andrew's POV
I felt like my heart had been ripped out from the impact of Jade's statement.
'I never knew you. I don't know you.' That statement tore my heart apart and the disgusted look she had on her face while looking at my hands made me want to howl and tear apart Beta Moore, the cause of everything.
"We need to get out of here as soon as possible." Lydia said from behind me like a reminder. She had gotten up. She was right. So, I nodded and stood up.
"Let me help y..." I was saying to Jade as I tried to reach for her hand and help her stand up but she cut me off.
"I don't need your help." Jade told me sharply and got up from the ground. While I admired her strength and independence, I disliked that she wouldn't let me even help when necessary.
"I will find my way home." Jade announced, shocking me and Lydia.
