Jade's POV
My eyes widened in shock and my lips parted widely, at Raymond's announcement. I could feel my head spinning badly and I temporarily forgot how to breathe. My hands fell to my sides as the air felt thick and pressed heavily on my chest.
"That was the good news? Switzerland? How is that a good news for fuck's sake?" I mumbled a curse under my breath. I clenched my hands, tightly till I could feel pain.
Since when had he been planning that?
"Oh my God, Raymond! How can you be so sweet and generous? Switzerland? A country that is associated with wealth and exclusivity?" My mother stated, jubilantly. I almost had a whiplash from turning to look at her in disbelief.
Excitement was written all over my mother. Was she really not seeing what I was seeing? That there were more to Raymond's offer?
"Of course, my mom would see something good in sending me to Switzerland." I gritted my teeth.
