Jade's POV
I tried to steady my breath to no avail as Andrew dragged me away from Marcus's presence. His menacing presence. I hated to admit it but Marcus's unannounced presence had shaken me up so much.
My heart had sunk when I laid my eyes on Marcus and I couldn't help but to be frozen.
Was he following me? He wouldn't have known where we were unless he had actually been stalking me. And that realization made my stomach churned in fear.
The thought of what if he hurt Andrew in any way, was why I had been so rattled, not really because of me.
How would I be able to forgive myself if anything bad happened to Andrew and his father because of my mother?
"I thought I could have just one peaceful day with him, forgetting about my worries and fear--- how wrong I had been!" I thought inwardly and clenched my fists.
