Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Elijah got up in annoyance. She gave Crystal a fierce look for waking her up early. She immediately stepped away from her. She closed her eyes to stop herself from shouting at Crystal. She truly was like crystal, a bit of a harsh look or raising her voice would easily shatter her in fear. Elijah simply shook her head.

She lazily got up, still wearing the white dress. After cleaning herself up, she walked down the hallway with Crystal quietly beside her.

As they walked, she noticed three maids giving her a scornful look on the side.

"Here comes the attention-seeking emperor's child again. Hmp. Why hasn't she met her end yet? Good thing we're not here when she wakes up."

"You're right. I don't understand why she insists on imposing herself here when it's obvious that her parents don't want her."

"D*mn, what kind of parents would want such a worthless child? Besides, she's just attention-seeking."

"She's shameless, even trying to take Princess Hope's life. Obviously jealous."

"You're right. No matter what she does, she can never compare to Princess Hope. She's not even worthy to be in our princess's presence."

"Shh. Quiet now. She's approaching us."

"So what? I'm not scared of her. Who is she anyway? Tsk. I'm even stronger than her, so why would I be afraid."

"True, I heard she flunked in their class. She's just a bimbo. Nothing like our princess who is skilled, strong, and intelligent."

"That's why she tried to kill our princess, right? Because she's envious. Hahaha."

"Princess, just ignore them. They just crave attention."

Crystal tried to stop her, but it was too late. She had already approached and had one of the maids by the neck. Startled and nervous, the other two froze in place. Earlier, they were confident and sure they were stronger than Elijah, but now they seemed rooted to the spot. Their knees shook slightly, feeling fear.

Elijah's aura was intimidating. Her gaze darkened. She was hot-headed for being woken up early just to have breakfast with the worthless people in the palace, and the three annoying bees had made it worse. She had run out of patience.

"Princess, p-please l-let her g-go. It looks like she's running out of a-air in her body."

Crystal nervously tried to restrain her. Instead of feeling afraid, the two were shocked as a mischievous grin appeared on Elijah's lips. The two shuddered, while the maid she was choking lost color in her face.

She tightened her grip even more. When she lost consciousness, she gave the two a sharp look. With an adrenaline rush, the two maids instinctively ran. They didn't know why, but all they knew was that they needed to get away from Elijah.

"Do you really think you can escape from me? Oh no, darlings, you're just adding fuel to my fire.. Shall we begin my game? Would you like to play along with me? I promise you'll enjoy it."

The two maids cried and pleaded, thinking they could escape, but suddenly Elijah appeared before them. They cried and begged for mercy. They didn't want to die.

"Princess Nightmare, we're sorry. We promise not to speak ill of you anymore. Please spare us. We beg for your mercy."

"Yes, we promise to be loyal to you. Please let us go."

Elijah laughed, a laugh that sent chills down their spines. Crystal, who was watching, was frozen in place. She felt goosebumps. Right then, she knew she had to stop whatever she was being asked to do. She didn't want to suffer the same way those three servants suffered.

She simply swallowed. His boss had told her that Princess Nightmare was weak. She wasn't scary and above all, she was emotionally unstable, making it easy for her to finish the job - but now, witnessing Princess Nightmare choking the two maids who tried to escape, she decided to stop. She was okay with facing the consequences from his boss, even if it meant paying with her life, but she preferred that fate over facing Princess Nightmare's hands.

Her gaze was different. Even the dark aura surrounding her shouted danger. One mistake, just one mistake, and it's all over. Her decision was firm. She would remain a servant, no more missions. She didn't want to die, especially at the hands of the demon in front of her. She closed her eyes. She didn't want to see what Elijah was doing.

"Useless fools. Didn't even break a sweat. No thrill at all, forget it."

She kicked the lifeless bodies of the maids. She looked at Crystal, who had her eyes shut tight. Elijah shook her head in disbelief.

"Let's go, Crystal. Snap out of it. You look silly."

Wide-eyed, Crystal quickly approached Elijah, almost tripping over. Elijah closed her eyes, feeling like she was on the verge of exploding.

"Uh.. S-sorry... a-about the d-dead bodies of those three royal maids?"

Elijah looked at the three corpses without any emotion. One of them was four meters away from the other two he had killed. She kicked one of them again out of frustration, causing Crystal to jump back in surprise.

"Let's go, let somebody clean that mess. Tsk."

Crystal had no choice but to follow Elijah. When they reached the dining hall, she took hee seat. Crystal stood beside the lined-up royal maids. Bae Lhat sat to Elijah's left, Demon You to his right, while Hope Less sat in front of him, with Empress Lavander beside Hope Less, and Emperor Kadiliman at the far end. The name Light didn't suit him, after all, he didn't bring light to Nightmare's life; instead, he brought darkness.

She started eating, not bothering to meet the gazes fixed on her. After eating, she was about to leave when the emperor spoke.

"You have to attend your classes today. You will not skip any one of your subjects. I will cut your allowance once I find out that you are skipping classes AGAIN."

She rolled her eyes and left with Crystal. Once inside her room, she tossed everything she could throw. She didn't care if they were expensive. She was irritated. And Crystal watched quietly, either closing her eyes or jumping back in surprise as things flew or broke around her.

"Study? Really? Damn it!!! I hate school!"

Elijah was annoyed. She thought she could escape studying, but evidently not. She and the one manipulating her shared the dislike for studying.

"Where do I fvcking study?"

Finally calm, she asked her personal assistant slash maid Crystal. Crystal just scratched her head in response.

"You don't know where you study?"

Elijah glared at her, making her gulp and wishing she hadn't asked. Her life was hanging by a thread. Just her gaze alone was deadly. It was far from the helpless Nightmare they used to talk about. She wasn't all misery now; even a mere glance could send shivers down your spine.

"Do you think I'd be asking if I knew?"

She asked emotionlessly, causing Crystal to gulp again. Her gulp had become frequent even when she wasn't drinking. Lady Nightmare was truly frightening. She felt like crying out of nowhere. Could she ask the goddess to return her to her deceased mother's womb, far away from her current mistress?

She informed her that she studied at Central College, the leading institution known for its prestigious, renowned, and intelligent students. Annoyed, Elijah changed her clothes, while Crystal scratched her head, looking at the messy and broken room of her boss.

She didn't even know if it could still be called a room. She sighed and started cleaning.

"I'm going, you clean this mess."

Elijah left, leaving her pitiful maid to clean up the mess on her own. She walked through the palace hallway towards the garage where her cars were parked, blocked by Hope in her path. With her were her two attendants who glared at her. Her eyebrows raised in surprise.

"You look cool in that outfit, my sibling. Those kinds of clothes don't sell well here, and you rarely find stores that sell those kind of outfits. Others who wear them are often ridiculed for looking weird and ugly, but now that I've seen you wear it, I feel like trying out a similar style. You carry it so effortlessly. I'm delighted that everything you wear suits you. You're beautiful, and your body complements everything as well."

Elijah refrained from rolling her eyes at Hope Less. If she weren't kind, she might have left her and gone. She might be late for class due to her talkative and roundabout sister.

"What do you need?"

She was given a side-eye by her sibling's two attendants. If her sibling weren't there, they might have attacked her. Tsk. She just shook her head in her mind. Crazy magos.

"Oh, sorry, here is your lunchbox. I made it myself. Please accept it."

She accepted it and thanked her. She was accompanied by her sibling to the garage, in front of her car. As she was about to enter the vehicle, Hope Less stopped her again. She closed her eyes tightly. Just a little more, just a little more, and her patience would be completely exhausted.

"Wait, let my personal maid call a driver. You don't know how to drive a car."

She just rolled her eyes at her and brushed off her hand. She got into her car and sped away from the annoying magos. Her sister and her two attendants were left dumbfounded.

Elijah pondered that although Earth and the Center, the place of the magos, weren't that far apart, there were still parts that were truly ancient, and women here in the world of magos often wore dresses, unlike Earth where fashion was more varied and bold.

Upon arriving at KdC, she parked her car in the designated area. As she stepped out, all attention turned to her. Apart from her unique outfit, her inherent beauty stood out. She shimmered like a diamond. Everyone followed her every step, and the sound of her heels echoed with each step she took. After a moment, various comments and gossip about her started to float around.

"Is that Princess Nightmare?"

"Really? Oh my, she looks amazing with that style."

"It suits her, it makes me want to change my style too."

"She looks so hot, but her clothing can't hide the fact that she's a mean girl. Her attitude is ugly. Ewww."

"I agree, she always threatens everyone with her title, like duh. Even though she's the emperor's child, it's widely known that she isn't loved by the emperor. It's as if she doesn't matter to them. Poor thing."

"Sssss...shush, you might be overheard. No matter what we say, it won't change the fact that she's still the emperor's child. She still holds a higher status in life than us."

"Dude, look at how beautiful Princess Nightmare is. Even though her name is weird, at least she has an angelic face."

"Tsk, her attitude is like a demon."

"You're such a jerk. At least she's beautiful."

"Look, Princess Nightmare is so damn hot. I feel like I wanna hit on her."

"As if she'd even notice you. Everyone knows she's head over heels for her sister's sweetheart."

"Yeah, I don't know why she's obsessed with him. Tsk. I'm even more handsome. Why not me?"

"You're so full of yourself, jerk. You're nowhere near the league she's in, so stop it. Wake up. It's good to dream, just don't go overboard."

Elijah just shook her head and decided to continue walking. However, she was blocked by someone not so pleasant. Three women. Women who could be considered clowns at a carnival or a children's party.

"B*tch, do you think I forgot what you did to me last week? I don't care if you're the emperor's child. As far as I remember, you're just a nuisance to them. Hahaha, poor thing."

The two clownish attendants burst into laughter like lunatics. They high-fived each other.

"Ugly nuisance. Hahaha."

"Agree, look at her fashion style. So tacky."

"Thank goodness we were born pretty. Unlike her, she's so ugly and really tacky. Like, she's disgusting."

"Girl, beauty runs in our blood, we shouldn't stoop to her level. Eww, her fashion style is so gross."

"I agree, you'd pass as the queen of the Croix family's youngest rather than her. Like, what the hell, look at her from head to toe, so gross and ugly."

They kept insulting her, while the surrounding bees listened and whispered among themselves. Elijah just smirked in her mind, ready to pass them by, when she was grabbed by the hand and called by the witches as Queen. Queen, eww not fitting, hippo, maybe.

"You don't turn away when I'm still talking to you. You're pissing me off, you know that. Aren't you scared to be beaten up by me? Hah! You only have the higher title, but everyone knows that you are weak and plain stupid."

"K."

That was Elijah's short response, which only infuriated the self-proclaimed Queen even more. She was about to slap her, but Elijah was quick to catch her hand that was about to land on his smooth and soft cheek.

"Do you know what K means in the Periodic Table of Elements?" Elijah asked, furrowing her brow at Queen. She just shook her head in her mind. It was clear that the person in front of her lacked brains. "It means potassium, which in my vocabulary also means you're a POTA, don't ASSUME things, especially calling your self pretty when all I can see all over your body is a trash ready to be dispatch."

Queen was seething with anger, and even her two attendants looked at her with extreme disdain. But Elijah just smirked. Oh b*tch, looks can't kill. Queen's anger grew even more, fueled by the embarrassment and various negative comments from onlookers. She wanted to humiliate Elijah, but the situation turned against her. She didn't expect her to stand up to her like this. They hadn't seen each other in a week because, as everyone knew, she took a leave due to the emperor's request.

"What gives you the right to curse at me!? Hah! I will make sure my father informs the emperor about your attitude towards me. In case you forgot, my father is one of the emperor's trusted advisors. You're dead."

Elijah laughed, a laugh that puzzled everyone, especially Queen. But her laughter also carried an eerie vibe. When Elijah stopped laughing, her face became stoic.

"Stupid. You know what, I should go. You are obviously wasting my time. Enjoy your day, Queen of the clowns. Anyway, make sure to bring joy to every child at the birthday party you were supposed to attend, make them happy and make them laugh, Hahaha."

Queen's nostrils flared in anger.

"And why would I do that?"

Elijah faced her, pretending to show curiosity on her face. "Aren't you going to attend a children's party? Weren't you hired to be their clown? Pftt."

"What the hell!! Of course not!"

Queen's defense was triggered, especially as people started laughing upon hearing their exchange. Elijah lightly tapped her forehead, pretending to apologize.

"Sorry, my bad. Your make-up and outfit made me think that you were a clown... Sorry."

She turned to walk away from Queen but remembered something she forgot to say, so she faced her again. She almost burst into laughter seeing the intense glare she gave her.

"Anyways, you're right. Beauty runs in your blood - - -"

"Of course."

The witch flipped her hair. In Elijah's mind, it was amusing. Haha. Damn, she really wanted to burst into laughter, but she restrained herself. It turns out, entering school wasn't so bad. It seemed like she enjoyed studying now, unlike before when it was boring.

"Don't celebrate just yet. Let me finish what I'm saying. As I was saying, beauty runs in your blood, but unfortunately, it's only in your blood. It doesn't show on your face."

"YOU LEECHHH!!!"

Elijah pretended to be hurt by her words and covered her mouth with her right hand, acting surprised.

"You compared me to a leech? Oh my? If I'm a leech, then you're a shrimp - head thrown away, eat the body. Pft... Hahahha, bye b*tches, better luck next time."

Elijah left the three in the midst of embarrassment. Like she cares. Duh. They brought it upon themselves.

As she entered her classroom, it felt like an angel passed through because of how quiet it was. When Elijah's gaze landed on their teacher, her eyes sparkled. Handsome. Fvck it. She had a boyish charm but she wasn't a tomboy, they're different anyway. Her heart still fluttered, especially when the teacher resembled Jeon Jungkook. Imagine having a professor who looks like Jeon Jungkook; see if your eyes won't sparkle. She felt like her eyes were shaping into hearts.

"Ms. Croix, please go to your designated seat."

"Sir, you know what---"

Elijah dangled a playful line, causing hee professor to furrow his brow.

"I know what, Ms. Croix?"

"I wish I was your derivative."

"And why?" He asked with a furrowed brow.

"So I could lie tangent to your curves."

Elijah even added a playful bite of her lip. She couldn't miss the slight blush on her professor's cheeks. Perhaps student-teacher affairs weren't forbidden, right?

"Just have a seat, Ms. Croix."

Instead of listening, Elijah focused more on admiring their teacher, whose name turned out to be John Arthur. His name was as hot as he was. Wearing a tight white shirt, with the top three buttons open, it was evident how well he cared for his physique. Those curves, damn... Those abs, would he ever get to touch them?

"Would Prof. Arthur mind if I touch his abs? And if so, can I also lick it? It would be saved as one of my best memories here in school. If only I knew the professor was this handsome, I wouldn't have broken all my things in my room. Such a waste of good items."

These were just thoughts in Elijah's mind. Lost in her daydream, she didn't notice her professor calling her.

"Ms. Croix, please stop daydreaming and listen to my discussion. You are falling behind your classmates, and even though I'm teaching you in class, I feel like it's all in vain. I don't understand why you're in the dressmaking class when you don't know anything about sewing."

Elijah raised an eyebrow, especially when her classmates burst into laughter. Was she being embarrassed?

"You're right, Prof. You should boot her out, she doesn't know anything."

The whole class laughed when the girl who seemed to be Queen's follower earlier made her comment. Elijah couldn't help but stifle a chuckle. She was thankful the professor was handsome, even if it was a bit of a red flag.

"Sir, may I ask a question?"

"Go on."

Elijah glared at the girl who appeared to be Queen's follower, clown slash shrimp. Hmp, let's see if she regrets speaking up.

"Sir, if I become skilled at sewing, can I stitch up the vajayjays of promiscuous women? The ones with loose holes from being used multiple times? Can I, sir? So they can tighten up again, it's pitiful for them, their partners won't be satisfied if they're too loose."

As Elijah innocently said that, her eyes were fixed on the Queen's follower. She saw the sharpness in her glare but maintained an innocent look as she glanced back at her professor.

Hee professor's eyes widened, seemingly unable to find the words to respond. Hmp, it was the woman's fault, she embarrassed her. She was just grateful for his looks and charm. Simply admiring her teachers handsome face.

"Are you addressing me, PRINCESS NIGHTMARE!? HAH! Seems like you're looking for trouble."

The Queen's follower stood up, glaring at her.

"Ms. Murfey, please calm down and sit down."

"It's just her, sir. She seems to be seeking conflict."

Elijah looked at her with an innocent smile on her face.

"Oh, I didn't mention any names, so it's not my fault if you felt targeted. Don't be too defensive, it gives you away. Your behavior makes it seem like you're announcing to the whole class that you're loose and need to be stitched up to tighten up a bit."

"You!!!"

"Ehh, why are you so stupid. It's actually me. Duh. Like it would be you!"

"Do you want a fight, huh! I don't care if you're the emperor's child."

"Ahm, a fight? No thanks, you might touch my skin and I might catch your germs, who knows how many germs you have on your body. Hmp."

"Ms. Croix, Ms. Murfey, take your seats before I decide to send you two to the guidance office."

Ms. Murfey seethed in anger but eventually took her seat, giving Elijah a nasty look while she smiled. Their professor let out a sigh. He felt like his white hair would sprout out anew. The youngest of the Croix family was always a headache for him. He just sighed.

After the boring class ended, Elijah left before hearing what her professor had to say. She didn't care how handsome the professor was anymore. She suddenly looked unattractive to her when she felt hungry. She didn't care if the emperor found out about her actions; let her deal with it. The important thing was to eat. Her stomach was rumbling, demanding food for her little ward.

Upon reaching the cafeteria, she ordered her meal. She noticed a guy who was looking down, focusing on his food. Despite that, the guy had a strong presence, drawing Elijah towards him.

Without further ado, she sat in the seat opposite him. When the guy looked up, Elijah felt hee heart skip a beat.

She let out a squeal in her mind. Wow, new target lock. Hmmm.

"Hi, mind if I sit here? What's your name?"

"Justine Yu."

"Nice name, I'm honey, baby babe, sweety, or love. Just pick whatever you like to call me."

Elijah's wide smile slightly weirded out Justine. He continued eating his pasta, ignoring Elijah's odd behavior. Elijah frowned in response. Justine didn't even acknowledge him.

"Hey, what do you prefer to call me? Honey, Baby, Babe, Sweety, or Love. Come one, choose and don't be a killjoy. You're wasting your good looks."

Justine just sighed and went back to eating. Elijah frowned even more.

"Justine."

Justine swallowed hard at the way Elijah addressed him. The sweetness in her voice. He tried to resist but in the end, he found himself staring at the girl who suddenly sat at his table. He didn't even know her. All he wanted was to eat in peace and alone.

Elijah clasped her fingers together, pouted, and showed off her fluttery eyes. Yes, even though it might be nauseating, there she was, still trying to look cute. Well, because he was handsome, it would be a waste if he did- she meant to not be friends, right, friends, yeah.

"How about, WeiGirl?"

Elijah furrowed her brow. WeiGirl, what does that mean? She knew her brain might be a bit slow, but she wasn't that stupid- well, does WeiGirl even exist in the dictionary? Gzzz.

"Why WeiGirl? What does that mean?"

"WEIrd GIRL, in short WeiGirl. It suits you, 'cause you are weird plus a flirt."

Elijah just rolled her eyes at Justine. Like hell, she just wanted to be friends with him. Duh. It's amazing to have a boy best friend instead of a girl best friend. Why? Maybe because whenever you're in trouble, they are always there to back you up, they can perfectly protect you, while girls? Ah-uh, they know nothing but to backstab you whenever you're not around, badmouth you inside their head while pretending to be a friend and not a foe. Tsk.

"I'm weird? Yes, I could agree to that, but a flirt? Duh. Crazy dude, I just want you to be my boy best friend. You fit that position. You have a handsome face, sexy and hot body, I also think that you are strong so yeah. You fit the position of being my boy best friend, yay."

Justine let out a sigh and shook his head in disbelief. In his mind, there must be something wrong with the girl in front of him. He regretted choosing to eat in the cafeteria today. The truth was he only ate here occasionally, and by an unfortunate turn of events, he ended up sitting next to this weird girl who suddenly announced that she wanted him to be her boy best friend. She didn't even ask if he wanted to or not.

"Wouldn't you mind to ask if I like the idea of being your boy best friend or not?"

Elijah rolled her eyes at Justine. She took a sip of water before answering, flipping her hair for added effect.

"Why bother? I'm sure you'll agree. Like, duh. I'm too hot and beautiful for you to reject. Who wouldn't want someone as beautiful and hot as me to be their girl best friend? Hmm. Who? And I would gladly make my hands say hello to their face."

Justine swallowed hard and shook his head in disbelief several times. He didn't know how he ended up in this situation. All he wanted was to eat in peace.

"Anyways, you wear the uniform of a basketball varsity player, so, official player or a trainee."

"Captain."

"Ah, captain, cap---wait, whattt!!!!"

Elijah was utterly surprised. She never imagined she would have a basketball player as a boy best friend, let alone a captain.

"Close your mouth, you might catch flies."

Elijah just rolled her eyes and continued eating her food, unaware of the eyes watching them. Now she understood why the girl in the cafeteria had been giving her looks. It turns out the hottie she approached was quite famous.

"Oh my, who is that girl? The audacity! She even tries to flirt with my Papa Justine."

"Your Papa Justine? Hey, witch, he's not yours."

"Fine, let's make him our Papa Justine. Happy?"

"Ecstatic."

"Girl, look at that. Admit it, that outfit suits her, and she doesn't look tacky like others who've tried wearing like that, but what right does she have to approach the captain of the HEAT?"

"Imma so agreeing with you with that matter, I've been irritated by her since earlier. She's flirting with our captain. Heck!"

"The nerve of that girl. She's in trouble with Queen for sure. Flirting with Captain Yu."

"Don't mind them."

Justine said, shaking his head, while Elijah just shrugged, not really caring. What did she care about what they were saying? Her food was more important.

She was about to take a bite of her pasta, twirling it around her fork, when a hand suddenly bumped into it. She tried to calm herself down forcibly, but she felt it was useless because her anger was overflowing. One thing she hated the most was being disturbed while eating, especially if the food she was about to eat was delicious.

She faced the bold one who ruined her lunch. The person had a challenging smile, teasing her further. Elijah grinned, her grin was peculiar, dangerous with the boldness that disrupted her lunch.

"YOU. ARE. DEAD!"

Three words, three words that send shivers to everyone, except Justine, his eyes focused on Elijah, studying his facial expression. Queen, the girl who sought her own demise at the hands of the unnoticed child of the emperor, feels like her knees are about to give out at any moment. The presence and the kind of stare Elijah gave her made her uncomfortable. While she felt bold earlier, now she felt like she had no strength left. It was as if Elijah was draining her energy. Just the intensity of his gaze made her breathless.

"5 seconds. I'm giving you five seconds, go scram, before I accidentally kill a shrimp."

Queen didn't know what came over her. Her mind wanted to stay, but her feet moved on their own, running away from there.

"Aurghhh!! Another humiliation for today!! You b*tch, Nightmare... I'll make sure to get my revenge..you'll beg for my mercy soon."

Elijah, on the other hand, felt frustrated. She hadn't even tasted the pasta yet, almost there. She was about to take the final bite when the shrimp queen arrived and unknowingly threw away her food. This was annoying. It was expensive too, hmp.

"Here, eat up. It's almost time for your next class, am I right?"

She glanced at the clock, and she was correct. Whatever. She didn't want to go to class. Should she skip it, but then she remembered the emperor's threat. What if he withholds her allowance? It wasn't possible. Until she found a way to earn a large amount of money, she couldn't risk the emperor cutting off her allowance. Not gonna happen. She already struggled in her past life, even though her father was an emperor. She had plenty of money, for sure, hmp.

At 11:30 inside the secret office of the emperor, his right hand delivered shocking news. The emperor was nearly knocked off his seat upon learning the information.

"She can't do that. That's impossible."

The emperor insisted, closing his eyes tightly. What his right hand was saying seemed utterly impossible.

"Watch, your highness. Watch how your youngest daughter kills those three royal servants."

The emperor could hardly breathe as he witnessed the scene. He saw his youngest daughter in the video, a girl they believed to be weak and incapable of killing. But it seemed they had judged her wrongly. He watched with his own eyes how she ended the lives of the three royal servants.

"What will be your next move, your highness? Considering your youngest daughter's capabilities, I believe she could be a great asset to the Center. She just needs proper training and attention. I assure you, with that power and strength, it's not impossible for her to surpass her older siblings."

The emperor knew this, and he was scared that he had made the wrong decision by abandoning his youngest daughter years ago. If only he had known how powerful she was. If only he knew.

"For now, observe her. I'll let you know what steps to take once I figure out the best course of action."

As the right hand of the emperor left, he took a deep breath.

Meanwhile, in the living room of the palace, where a sweet and sugar-coated conversation was taking place between a couple, Nightmare, known as Elijah, entered.

All eyes were on her. They expected her to go berserk as usual when she saw him with her sister, but no, she simply walked past them, not even sparing a glance. She usually lost her temper whenever she saw him with her sister, but now, she completely ignored him. And his ego couldn't handle it.

"Wait, Night. Wouldn't you bother to greet me? Is that the right manner of a princess?"

Elijah looked at her flatly. She was annoyed, and the person in front of her only seemed to aggravate her further.

"So you are the person I was so eager to have way back then, right? Well, let me tell you this, you son of a b*tch, I don't care about you anymore. You flirt with my sister for all I care, but please, do me a favor, stop annoying me even more because I'm mad. Okay. I'm pissed, and because of that, I can throw you out of the palace. After all, even though I'm just an unnoticed child of that stupid emperor, I still have the right to kick you out since you are completely and obviously an outsider. Get it!?"

She then left the stunned onlookers with open mouths, wide eyes, and completely lost in thought.

"What just happened? Where am I? Who am I with?"

That was all the poor man could say. Hell, he was embarrassed. Because of that, he left without a word to his girlfriend. Hope called out to him, but he didn't even look back. He got into his own car and sped away.

Hope was left confused, hurt, and embarrassed. She was confused by her sister's actions, hurt by her boyfriend leaving without a goodbye, and embarrassed by her sister's behavior and words. She just held her head, feeling like she was getting sick.

"What should I do to you, Nightmare? Why are you doing this to me? I just want the best for you, but you always do things on your own that also ends up with a mess in the end. Aurghhh!!!! If father knows about you, calling him stupid, he will definitely be mad and ground you, how will I defend and make a solid excuse for you? Damn it!!!" Hope mumbled in frustration.

ELIJAH is beyond frustrated. It's all Justine's fault. They were supposed to be friends, but that guy, ugh!!

The thing is, she invited him to the arcade because she was broke, for him to pay, but at the end they used her money, the only money that she have been hiding. She thought he was good at playing, and he even bragged about it. But when they tried the claw machine, they just wasted all their tokens and didn't win anything. She was so annoyed. She had no money left.

She buried her face in her soft pillow. She was annoyed as she glanced at her phone ringing continuously. She reluctantly answered it.

[I'm sorry, okay. I'm only good at basketball, not at a freaking claw machine. Come on, don't be mad at me. I'll pay you tomorrow.]

"Fine, why did you call?"

[Tsk. I called you because I finally got the information you asked me to look for. Damn, I feel like I fell into your trap. Did you perhaps plan to get close to me, befriend me, and make me your tech guy? Tsk.]

"Stop complaining, you still did it anyways. I didn't force you to do so. Duh. Now, send me the information."

After sending Elijah the information she needed via email, he ended the call feeling annoyed because he realized too late that he was tricked by Elijah.

"Damn, only losers don't get payback. You queen of shrimp. Pft.. I'm sure by tomorrow, you'll be too embarrassed to face everyone after I post this funny photo of you on all sites. You'll be an instant sensation. You too, Ms. Murfey. You guys messed with the wrong person."

After hitting the post button, she lay down on her bed and closed her eyes. She fell asleep with a mischievous smile on her lips.

"Sorry not sorry, you can't mess with me without facing consequences. You annoyed me, so I'll annoy you even more."
