On the way, the Maharaja instructs his horse and companions to stop as he searches for a resting place and dismounts his horse.
Hearing the sound of a nearby waterfall, the Maharaja starts walking towards it.
"No, Maharaja, please don't go alone. There might be danger ahead," warns Angad, the Maharaja's personal servant.
"Nothing will happen to me, Angad. You should also rest; we will be leaving soon."
The Maharaja continues to walk towards the waterfall.
The Maharaja's heart was racing, not from fear, but from the excitement that comes from feeling drawn to an unseen power. The echoing sound of the waterfall and the surrounding tranquility gave him a sense of extraordinary energy.
The darkness had deepened, and the faint light of the moon cast a shimmering glow on the water. The Maharaja slowly approached the waterfall, his mind replaying the sorceress's words, "Soon, you will possess a weapon that will surpass all limits of destruction."
As the Maharaja reached the edge of the waterfall, he noticed a faint light shimmering on the water's surface. This was no ordinary waterfall. Something was hidden within the water, as if an invisible force was waiting for him.The Maharaja looked around, ensuring no one was following him.
He felt a pull toward the water, as if some unseen force was calling out to him. He extended his hand towards the waterfall, and as soon as his hand touched the water, a bright, intense light spread, and the waterfall suddenly fell silent.
Suddenly, a mysterious figure began to emerge from the surface of the water. It was a figure resembling a mermaid, with eyes glowing in a magical blue light. Her voice was deep and mysterious, "Maharaja, you are close to the power you have always desired. But remember, every power comes with a price. Are you ready for it?"
The Maharaja replied with confidence in his eyes, "I am ready to pay any price for my kingdom."
The mermaid smiled faintly and said, "Then be prepared, Maharaja. This power will be yours, but its proper use will be the key to your victory." She pulled a shimmering object from the water with her hand. It was an amulet, appearing to be filled with boundless energy.
The Maharaja carefully observed the amulet and then took it into his hand. As soon as he held the amulet, a new surge of energy began to flow through him. He felt as if all his desires were now within his control.
"This amulet's power can help you conquer your enemies," the mermaid said. "But remember, its misuse could also lead to your destruction."
The Maharaja took a deep breath and hid the amulet within his garments. He thanked the mermaid and then began to make his way back to the camp.
On the way, Angad asked with concern, "Maharaja, is everything alright?"
The Maharaja calmly replied, "Everything is fine, Angad. We should leave now. We must return to the palace in Magadha."
There was a new gleam in the Maharaja's eyes. He knew that in his hands, he now possessed a weapon that could make his reign invincible. But in a corner of his mind, a warning echoed—this power was as dangerous as it was powerful.
In the darkness of the night, the Maharaja and his companions began their journey back to the palace, and with each step, the power of the amulet slowly began to awaken.
