Chapter 41 - Contest

"Bastard!!! How dare you? Release me this instant-!"

"Ah …no."

Ha Joon turned his chair around, sitting on it with his belly facing the backrest and his arms gently resting on top.

Mordred, yanking her arms back and forth on the bed, tried desperately to free herself but nothing seemed to be working.

It was night time, one could tell from the moonlight illuminating inside the room, even the fire touches were not enough to hide it.

"What time hell did you do to me?!!!" Mordred yelled.

"Oh relax, I haven't done anything yet." Ha Joon replied, "You attacked me, got bodied, and now I've kidnapped you to spend the night with me".

Morded's eyes calmed down a bit when she remembered - "I demand that you free me, if you're so much as a man, you'd agree to fight me once again".

"Again, nuh, anyway, I have plans to go to the Red district and recruit some beast man to work in the capital. I was thinking of the army, but I'm focusing right now on the agricultural aspect, so probably about 30-40 beast men".

Ha Joon continued,

"And I've gone through Camelot's entire roaster, and you people honestly make me sick, ever heard of crop rotation? How are you surviving on just Corn and flour? No wonder the economy is bad, you wasted money on buying food from other Kingdoms that can be made here." he shook his head.

"What are you talking about?! Free me?" Mordred yelled.

"But as you can see, I'm not as strong as anyone would think, quite unfortunate, just found out I have a bunch of haters in the republic, if this was 2027, I'd be getting the hashtag, endthetraveler".

"You bas-"

"And I also know you'd do anything to make Artoria proud of you, and she wants you to be my bodyguard, what better way to do so than to do that, uhh?" Ha Joon stretched out his finger as he spoke.

Mordred was quiet for a while, her eyes lighting up in the dark room as she was now adding more strength to free herself.

The bed was slowly sinking into the ground, and the chains were gradually snapping.

'She's mad.'

Ha Joon stood up from the chair and walked towards her; gently he settled down on the bed, and with a picky finger, he muttered -

"Iceeeee…."

A small cold ice wind blew from his finger, directly on Mordred's exposed neck. The moment it touched her skin, she shivered a bit, her face red from how weird the feeling was.

"What the hell was that?!!! You idiot!!!" She yelled.

"Geez, I was just trying to calm you down before you destroy my room." he sat up, "and what's with that big mouth of yours? You damn well know I could spank your ass right now and you wouldn't be able to do a thing".

Mordred glared at him.

"Sigh, listen, I'm trying to help you here. I'm probably the only one that's willing to, because you chase them all away with your slash slash attitude."

"Untie me".

"No. Do you agree to be my bodyguard?" He asked again.

"Over my dead body."

"Sigh, you leave me no choice, just so you know, whatever happens now is all on you."

"W..hat are you talking about?".

Ha Joon raised both his hands in front of him, twinkling his finger as he pulled in closer.

"What do you think you're…hey! Get away from me you creep! Help! Go away!!! Hahahaha! Sta… hahahaha".

Ha Joon tinkled her, his fingers dancing all around Mordred's body. For a strong knight, it was a bit surprising to see her so weak to his tinkles.

Ha Joon didn't stop until he noticed how her smile seemed so innocent compared to her frown.

He stopped, looking her in the eye.

"You really do have a pretty smile, why do you hide it so much behind a frown?" He blurted.

Mordred was caught off guard, she reminded where she was, not a single reaction leaving her body, until eventually -

"Ewww, why are you being so gross? Get away from me".

"Hahah!" Ha Joon laughed, now sitting comfortably beside her.

"You're a knight of honor are you not?" Ha Joon asked, as he looked to the ceiling.

"What is it to you? Going to tell me I'm not fit to be a -"

"Oh definitely not, you're clearly the strongest knight I've seen so far, but as a knight of honor, you clearly know a thing or two about duels".

He fully faced her.

"If I challenge you right now, to a power show contest, one where if I win, you'll accept my terms and be my bodyguard, but if I lose, I'll become your slave for the rest of my life, would you accept, or will you run with your tails between your legs?".

"Who do you think you're talking to? I never run from a challenge, and definitely not from you." Mordred frowned.

"Perfect, so you won't mind it then? Imagine if you win, the Prime minister of Camelot gets to be your slave." Ha Joon hyped.

"You'll come to regret it, you shall wash my boots and feed my horses whenever I see fit."

"And I won't complain."

"Polish my armor even though the maids can".

"Fair enough".

"You'll be my training dummy all your life".

"Cut me baby".

"You are a fool. I accept".

"Very well then".

Ha Joon freed the chains around Mordred's body, allowing her to walk around the room freely.

If it was any other person, he would have felt the need to set traps or other alternatives if they attacked, but even though Mordred was a pain in the ass, he knew she wasn't the kind to use mischief as a means of victory.

Ha Joon knelt at the right side of the center table, and Mordred took the left side, their hands locked in and ready.

"I am ready when you are, try to go easy on me, I am only just a man after all." Ha Joon uttered.

"Be quiet, you chose this for yourself, do not back down now, not when I already want you to serve me for the rest of your wasteful life".

"My bad Samson."

"Prepare yourself, I have never lost a challenge in my life." Mordred voiced out with a grin.
