It's been two days since Ha Joon arrived at Artoria Pendragon's castle and personal chamber, and there are three things he took notice of.
1) This world seemed like an alternate version of everything he knew. For example, Artoria Pendragon was supposed to be a male, hence why the title is King, but instead, she turned out to be a girl. Not only that, most of the knights were gender-reversed as well.
2) Camelot isn't just a city; it's a whole kingdom, and right now, Camelot was at war with another kingdom, whose ruler's name is Kang the Shredder.
3) He didn't transmigrate alone. His phone was right in his pocket with him. He discovered it when he wanted to take a bath, and to add to the surprise, it looked nothing like the phone he knew.
Dressed in a clean yellow outfit with a red cape at the side, Ha Joon was seated on the massive bed with his legs crossed. This attire was picked carefully by Artoria. If he had refused to wear it, she would have forced it on him, so he wore it to avoid any kind of drama.
Leaving that aside, Ha Joon stared at his demonic-looking smartphone. It didn't have any service or battery icon, yet the screen was still glowing with a template hovering at the center.
[Are you ready to begin? Yes or no?]
'I've seen way too many anime and read far too many manhwa to question what this is. So why am I still feeling anxious?' Ha Joon groaned a bit, his eyes darting back to the phone.
"Hmm… maybe just one tap."
Click!
He tapped [yes] with his pinky finger.
Immediately, he felt a huge surge of energy rush inside his body like a dam had been broken and the water was filling his insides.
Simultaneously, multiple notifications began to appear on the screen of the phone.
[The system has been activated, welcome.]
[Instant learning… acquired]
[Knowledge of the gods… acquired]
[Perception… acquired]
A grin spread on his face. Gently, he picked up the phone and raised it to the ceiling.
"You, my lovely device that I trashed for having only 546 RAM and 16GB ROM, I shall cherish you from now on… promise."
Using the knowledge he had gained from reading transmigration stories, he was able to tell he had just gained skills from his device.
He pulled the phone back down and began to scroll to learn more about what he was dealing with.
[Instant learning {Expert}: This skill allows you to acquire skills from anything you've learned about. The deeper the information, the more powerful the skill. And the more complex the skill, the more information needed.]
[Knowledge of the gods {Expert}: This skill lets you know the history of any god.]
[Perception {Novice}: Allows you to sense danger before it even happens; this could be sharp hearing, sight enhancement, and so on.]
Ha Joon stroked his jaw, 'So if I learn about anything, I instantly get a skill? So just like how I know how water works, H2O and stuff, I can gain a skill for that?'
[Water manipulation… acquired {Novice}]
His jaw dropped.
'It's that easy? Bruhhhhhh.'
"Fire!!!"
[Fire manipulation… acquired {Novice}]
"Earth!"
[Earth manipulation… acquired {Novice}]
He kept at it until he fell asleep. He made sure to remember everything from his past life and used it to gain a new skill from the system on his phone.
…..
"Traveller. Traveller. Please wake up, traveller."
The maid, who had come to clean the room, called out to Ha Joon multiple times, but he didn't seem to wake up.
Ha Joon was sleeping in the guest room, and it was her duty to make sure he was taken care of during his stay in the castle. Artoria had summoned him, and thus the maid came to get him, only to find him sleeping in the afternoon.
"Traveller, please wake up, Her Majesty wishes to see you." The maid kept tapping his shoulder, yet no response from the sleeping beauty.
Just as she got fed up trying to wake him up, she noticed the strange light glowing from under Ha Joon's back. It was the light from the phone he was sleeping on.
Curiosity got the better of the maid, and she reached out to grab the phone. Before she could touch it, Ha Joon's eyes darted open, and he grabbed her by the hand.
She winced a bit, shocked at the sudden movement.
"G-Good morning, traveller. The lady calls for you."
"Right… I'll be there in a minute," he replied.
"O-Okay."
They stared at each other for a while.
"Uhm… Traveller."
"Yes."
"You're hurting me."
"Oh, sorry." Ha Joon let go, pulling himself up from the bed.
"I shall take my leave. Please do not keep Her Majesty waiting; she hates people who do that." And with that, the maid left.
Ha Joon sighed, glancing at his phone. And there on the screen was the notification.
[Title: Skill Master.
Skills: 15]
A smile played on his face before he grabbed the phone from the bed and shoved it inside his shirt. He had to go meet the King of Camelot.
…..
Artoria Pendragon, the King of Camelot, was seated on her throne, dressed in a white dress, her blade resting on the arm of the throne.
Three out of her twenty top knights, Dame Palamedes, Dame Dinadan, and Dame Yinoa, stood at the side.
And knelt in the centre of the throne room was a woman, dressed in black and shaking to her knees.
"Please, Your Highness, it was not my int-"
"Utter another word and it will be off with your head," Yinoa uttered, cutting the woman off. "You dare try to poison the king?"
"No no, I would never."
"You were caught, you witch! How dare you deny it after I have been a witness?" Yinoa yelled.
"Please, forgive me!"
Yinoa and the woman went back and forth, while Artoria remained on her throne, almost bored. Not a word of what they were saying seemed to grace her ears.
But then, the huge door to the throne room creaked a bit, and in came Ha Joon.
"Umm, excuse me, Artoria, the maid said you're looking for me… did I come at a bad time?" Ha Joon asked with a deadpan look on his face.
