Regardless of whether you agree today, you will have to agree!
The Wind King was silent. He knew that, no matter how he looked at it, he had no choice.
Rad Academy was untouchable. Even though the Wind King and Sen Yan were both peak Dao Mirror level powerhouses, they were nothing compared to the experts of Rad Academy!
There were actually three transitional realms after reaching the peak of the Dao Mirror level.
Reincarnation, Soul Transformation, and Life and Death!
Only by undergoing these three extreme bodily transformations could one transcend and explore the elusive realms beyond the Dao Mirror!
During their time at the academy, they naturally learned that the academy housed Reincarnation level experts. That was just hearsay, though. As for the latter two realms, they had never even heard of them. Of course, hearing about them was one thing; whether they existed was another. If they provoked Rad Academy, any one of their experts could wipe them out!
The Wind King's raspy voice, full of emotion, came out, "You swear?"
"Of course!"
"Fine! If my daughter suffers any harm or grievance under your care, I will wage war on you with all my might, even if it means exhausting my entire kingdom!" the Wind King glared at Sen Yan.
"I understand. Just send her over in a few days. Take this man back with you!" Sen Yan pointed at Feng San, who was barely alive in the guard's hands.
The Wind King didn't even glance at him and immediately disappeared with his entourage.
Feng San was dumbfounded.
"Your Majesty, wait for me!" Feng San cried out in despair.
Sen Yan, disgusted, looked at the struggling Feng San in the guard's grasp and waved his hand dismissively, "Throw him out!"
The guard responded, "Yes, sir!" and then tossed Feng San toward the main gate.
Feng San looked around venomously at the people ignoring him.
"You'll regret this!" He then staggered away.
This finally gave Sen Lei the opportunity to seek answers from Sen Yan.
Sen Lei bowed and said, "Father!"
"If you have any questions, ask. You seem eager," Sen Yan said, helping his son up with a smile.
"Was the man just thrown out someone sent by the Wind Kingdom?" Sen Lei asked.
"You're half right," Sen Yan chuckled, helping him up.
"Oh?" Sen Lei was even more confused now. Logically, seeing how anxious the Wind King was, wasn't he afraid Father would take the man back for interrogation?
Sen Yan invited Sen Lei to walk with him and began explaining.
"Indeed, that man was from the Wind Kingdom, specifically sent by the Wind King," Sen Yan smiled.
Then he continued, "Actually, the Wind King's intention wasn't to embarrass you on stage but to gather information.
"After the assassination attempt, your quick recovery and the fact that you're now as good as new and standing before everyone is unbelievable. Not only does he not understand it, but even I, your father, am full of questions. So, he sent someone to gather intelligence and relay information. Because of my presence, they dared not use spiritual power to transmit images."
After hearing this, Sen Lei realized, "I understand now. Father, you already knew that the man who stepped onto the stage was from the Wind Kingdom. Moreover, the Wind King didn't want this person to duel with me, fearing exposure or being caught by us."
Sen Yan patted Sen Lei's head, saying, "Smart boy!"
"But logically, even if this person were caught, at most, it would expose that he was their informant. It wouldn't be much of a loss. Why come in person?" Sen Lei still felt puzzled.
"That's because he has done too many sinister things. To be honest, he overthinks. He's afraid I'll use this opportunity to escalate things into a full-blown war! Actually, I also hesitate. Next year is Rad Academy's last opening. It involves matters of the upper realms. I've heard there will be a grand entrance competition with special rewards for the top three. All the continent's geniuses will gather to compete for the top spots!" Sen Yan said seriously.
"Rewards?" Sen Lei was astonished.
"Yes, you all can enroll, but! There will be rankings upon entry. Lower-ranked individuals might face discrimination. However, you can't generalize. Low-ranked individuals might work harder, while high-ranked ones might slack off. The teachers don't care about that, though. They favor geniuses! If your ranking is too low, they might not even look at you!" Sen Yan lamented.
Sen Lei believed him.
This was just like final exams in the past. If you did well, you were a good child in the eyes of teachers and parents. If not? Sorry, you were seated at the back of the classroom, not to disturb the good students.
Sen Yan didn't say much more, knowing that the more his son knew, the more dangerous it would be. Pressure could affect his cultivation. In Sen Yan's view, the appearance of a natural spiritual body over a decade ago seemed insignificant to Rad Academy. There was no reaction from them.
"Could it be that the spiritual body isn't impressive enough for the academy?" Sen Yan shook his head.
Back when Sen Lei was little, Sen Yan fantasized that the academy would let him enroll directly.
In Sen Yan's eyes, a natural spiritual body was naturally talented, with an unmatched affinity for the earth's spiritual energy, akin to being born at the Spiritual Body realm. If trained at the academy from a young age, reaching the upper realms was inevitable.
But Sen Yan could only fantasize. He had no contact with the elders there. The academy only opened to nurture talented individuals from various kingdoms.
Sen Yan led Sen Lei to the entrance of the Sen Luo Kingdom's treasury.
A barrier surrounded the treasury. Curious, Sen Lei reached out to touch it, but Sen Yan quickly slapped his hand down.
Sen Yan sternly warned, "You can't touch this. Without the treasury token, even I would be seriously injured trying to force entry. If you dare touch it…" Sen Yan made a cutting gesture.
"Instant death!"
Sen Lei was truly startled, pulling his neck back and asking, "Why did Father bring me here?"
"To enter." Without waiting for Sen Lei's response, Sen Yan stepped into the treasury.
Once inside, Sen Yan tossed a ring to Sen Lei.
"This is a spatial ring. Take it. We'll head to the armory, and you can pick a weapon. I'll find spiritual stones and techniques for your current training." With that, Sen Yan vanished.
Sen Lei nodded and put on the ring.
Looking up, he saw eight defensive layers within the barrier. The stone door was five meters high, appearing extremely sturdy. Judging by its exterior, it seemed impenetrable even to Sen Lei's spiritual body strength. If an outsider tried to enter, they'd be worn out by the barrier and the stone doors.
Sen Yan's voice echoed, "You fool! Hurry up and get in here!"
"Oh, right! Coming!" Sen Lei replied, quickly entering the treasury.
