Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Skill Pop-Up and Memories of a Previous Life!

Sun Lei stared at the giant blue holographic projection in front of him. His eyes reflected the demon skills he had memorized over the past few days, gradually becoming dazed, and his mouth twitched uncontrollably.

"This... could it be that I really brought skills from 'Dungeon and Fighter' to another world? Were those dreams real? My goodness! This is too clichéd!"

A cold, emotionless voice suddenly echoed from an unknown source. "Level 15 Blood Energy, Blood Demon Baptism - Beginner Stage. Skill Acquisition: You can learn virtual replacement skills, Silver Light Drop Blade, Mountain Crashing Strike, Cross Slash, Blood Energy Surge, Death Defiance, Blood Energy Awakening, Soul Devouring Hand, Blood Fury. To learn the skills, please click with the Blood Demon's left hand!"

Taking a deep breath as he looked at each familiar skill, Sun Lei thought, "As expected! I have indeed crossed over with my beloved account... But my gear, my Sky Set, and my levels are all gone!" Sun Lei felt like crying. He reminisced about the days when they rescued Selia, and the eight million warriors who fought tirelessly, her ethereal voice echoing, "Another day filled with hope..." It was heart-wrenching.

Sun Lei extended his left hand and clicked on the necessary skill points with familiar ease.

"Mountain Crashing Strike is a must, as its damage efficiency is the best in the later stages. Cross Slash is good for early stages, but not much use later on. Soul Devouring Hand is essential..." With satisfaction, Sun Lei finished allocating his skill points, then chuckled to himself, "What am I thinking? I'm not in a game anymore!"

"The Blood Demon Legacy is rightfully yours! Your veins flow with the blood of the Demon God, and you carry the Demon God's seed!" The mechanical voice echoed from the void.

"What Blood Demon Legacy? Isn't this just the skill pop-up from 'Dungeon and Fighter'?" Sun Lei looked around in confusion.

"To awaken and remember it, I embedded the game system's skills and character into your consciousness until today. Somehow, it integrated perfectly with you, and you crossed over to this world with that anomaly," explained the Blood God from the shadows, his figure clad in Abyss Knight armor.

Seeing his former game character standing before him, speaking incomprehensible words, Sun Lei felt surreal. "No wonder, whenever you used skills in the game, the damage seemed realistic, like actual blood. I thought it was a game bug..."

"Since you know the reason, can you tell me where I am, why I need to awaken some seed, and where you come from? What do you mean by a previous continent? Have I been here before?"

The Blood God, with blood-red eyes, stared intently into Sun Lei's black eyes. Sun Lei felt a sharp pain and quickly closed his eyes. As soon as he did, a barrage of images began flooding his mind, linking his past memories together. The images passed like a slideshow, accelerating until he felt dizzy. Suddenly, the world brightened.

He saw a heroic man exuding a murderous aura, holding a pristine woman in white. Despite the man's bloody appearance, the woman remained immaculate, creating a stark visual contrast. Sun Lei shielded his eyes from the sudden light.

The man in the image had his back to Sun Lei, and the woman's face gradually emerged from his embrace. Sun Lei was stunned by her beauty, more so than any woman he'd seen in his two lifetimes. Her eyes were bright and clear, radiating elegance and purity.

"Fei'er, they're coming," the man said, but before he could finish...

A thunderous explosion rocked the scene, shaking even the memory itself. Sun Lei was astonished at the power that could affect memories.

Mist filled the air as mountains crumbled, endless debris and trees destroyed, and dust rose, obscuring the sky.

"Three main gods joined forces, haha! I didn't expect such fear from a minor new god like me!"

As the figure in the memory turned around, Sun Lei was shocked. The man with the sword-like eyebrows and flower-like eyes was him!

The Sun Lei in the memory performed hand signs, and the woman in his arms floated upward, struggling as tears streamed down her face.

Realizing something, the woman's heart broke, but she couldn't speak as her body underwent tremendous changes.

The man looked at her tenderly. "Fei'er, I'm sorry!"

"No!" The woman called Fei'er finally cried out, but her body gradually faded away.

"Sun Lei! How touching! Is it worth dying for a sick woman? Without her, you wouldn't be in this mess!" A white-bearded old man sighed.

"Stealing the sacred fruit of this divine realm to cure her disease! You could have used it to break the main god's limit. What a waste!" Another burly man grumbled.

Spitting blood, the man in the memory turned and laughed bitterly. "I passed the Great Dao test, earning it. None of your business! Even feeding it to dogs is better than giving it to you traitorous bastards!"

"You! Damn you, die!"

The three main gods soared, and Sun Lei flew swiftly. Having fought for over a month with countless hidden injuries, Sun Lei was coveted for his treasures as the famous Demon God.

Now pursued by three main gods, their combined power outmatched the exhausted Sun Lei. Even alone, no main god could rival him, but his countless battles had left him spent.

"It's a pity I, Sun Lei, never cultivated forces, or I'd wipe out you traitorous dogs!" Looking at the once-ally people now greedily eyeing him, his heart sank. No anger, just a cold heart. The three main gods' attacks overwhelmed him, and his body slowly disintegrated amid the explosions.

Rocks scattered, dust filled the sky.

The Demon God's final moment.

...

The memory froze at Sun Lei's disintegration.

Sun Lei opened his eyes, silent for a long time.

Who was the woman crying so heartbreakingly? For me?

The Blood God coldly said, "You will understand everything in time!

The Blood Demon Legacy has returned to you, surpassing my expectations. I know little of your story with her.

She suffered greatly to shield you from becoming a god.

After your death, the Celestial Elder saved her." Without waiting for Sun Lei's response, the Blood God's figure faded into the darkness.

Sun Lei called out, "Hey! Who are you?" But no answer came.

A cold voice finally replied, "Blood Spirit!"

"Blood Spirit?" Sun Lei repeated.

Sighing, Sun Lei lamented, "I had such a past life, but I can't remember anything."

Someone present might scold, "Can you just remember at will? The world would be in chaos!"

...

In the divine realm, within the heavenly palace.

Clouds swirled, mountains stood as a backdrop.

A woman shrouded in white snow sat on a white lotus, her face ethereal and cold, like an unapproachable painting.

Sitting silently, she seemed devoid of emotion.

She fell asleep there...

In her dreams, she longed for him.

Tears fell on her beautiful face.

"You said you wouldn't avenge me! Why don't you listen? Come here for a spanking!" A man with sword-like brows and a smile appeared before her.

She stood up, but as she approached, his figure vanished.

In her dream, she called out Sun Lei's name.

Awakening, her once-cold eyes filled with tears.

"Come back!" Ren Fei'er sobbed.

Soon, she broke into uncontrollable crying.

Whenever she angered Sun Lei, he'd hug her and spank her. Though embarrassed, she never regretted it, just wanting him to hold her forever.

Her parents died in the last demon war, leaving her only him. She hoped to live together after the war, but fate had other plans.

Dreams must end.

Her ice crown glowed, alerting her. "Who's there?" she demanded, capturing a blood-colored aura with a wave.

The familiar aura exploded, lingering in her hand.

"Ren Fei'er recalled something, soaring to search frantically.

She stood stunned, mouth agape, trembling.

"Where are you?!"

Ren Fei'er shouted, tears streaming, a tragic image.

"Is he alive? He's alive!" The woman was the same Ren Fei'er from Sun Lei's memory.

Now, Ren Fei'er seemed crazed.
