The yellow sign of Jolly Wings buzzed cheerfully as Ein pushed the door open. The warm, greasy aroma of fried chicken wrapped around him as he stepped in.
It was lunchtime, but luckily the place wasn't too busy.
Seated at a booth near the window, Avery leaned back casually, his blond hair catching the light. He wore a fitted shirt that accentuated his lean frame, a small smirk playing on his lips.
"Look who's back." Avery greeted with a relaxed wave. "I was beginning to think all I would get was the text about a job well done."
Ein shrugged as he slid into the booth opposite him. "Had a free moment, so here I am."
Just then, Mrs. Shin rang the little bell on the counter, signaling for Avery to serve the prepared plates.
"One second!" Avery called back, hopping to his feet. He moved with a lightness of a fox, quickly grabbing the plates filled with fried chicken from the counter.
