Chapter 106 - Volume 1 Chapter 106 - The Astral Body

Right now, Kai was standing completely naked and pondering the words Kessia had said. It was indeed very similar to the Law of Causeless Luck. But it seemed like it was just looking at the same situation from different angles.

''Indeed... Why did I think that I was really that important that the universe cared about me? Even missing out on a person like this Kissia... Compared to monsters like the Astral Alchemy Emperor... I'm just insignificant!" - Thinking about this, Kai was suddenly encouraged.

"Thank you Kessia, your advice was indeed profound. I'll need to think about it some more. But even now, I already feel great! Hehe!" - Said Kai, with a spiritual transmission.

"Hmm, you're a strange one. Not the reaction I expected from you." - Said Cissia in response.

"And what's the problem? What exactly is wrong with me?" - Kai asked interestedly.

"Usually, the idea that everything is meaningless and that everything is just randomness born of chaos. Makes people depressed... Answer me. Why are you so happy?" - Giving an explanation, Kessia asked in response.

When Kai heard what was said, he thought again. He decided to figure out exactly what he felt and how best to put it into words.

From the outside, the whole picture seemed a bit comical. There was a completely naked guy standing in the room, near a tub of water. At the same time he was frowning and scratching his chin. Moreover, he was in such deep thoughts that if someone had walked in, he wouldn't even notice it.

Suddenly, Kai came to his senses, smiled, and mentally said:

"If everything is meaningless, and nothing has a purpose or higher purpose... Then it's just fine! Hahaha!" - Laughing, Kai replied.

"Quench my curiosity. Explain the opening a bit. What exactly do you mean by that?" - Kessia asked with interest.

It seemed that Kai had indeed managed to interest her. It was actually quite funny that an ancient entity that had lived for an unknown number of years became interested in communicating with such a young guy.

"Hmm... I don't know how to explain it properly. Let me put it this way, if there is nothing predetermined, then I am truly free! Nothing can influence my path, but only myself! Isn't that beautiful? Hahaha." - Laughing shouted out Kai.

He was very enthusiastic right now. He felt like he had received a sudden enlightenment. It seemed to him that even his attitude towards life had changed.

''I, and only I, am the master of my destiny! Hell, if you think about it that way, there's no fate at all! Hahaha!" - Said Kai and continued laughing.

Listening to his words, Kessia just remained silent. It was unclear what she was thinking right now.

"You really are... Unique." - Pausing, choosing her words, Kessia said.

"And then what are you going to do in life? And what drives you?" - Cassia asked the philosophical question again.

"Hmm... Freedom, curiosity, and a thirst for power. The stronger I get, the more amazing things open up to my eyes... It's very simple! I will grow stronger until I reach the truth of the world itself! Or die somewhere along the way.... Nothing more or less! Hahaha!" - Laughing Kai replied.

"I confess I've never heard such an answer to that question before... So be it... I was even curious how far you could go." - Kessia replied thoughtfully.

Thinking about everything, Kai suddenly froze and started looking around.

"Wait, where's the book? As we speak, are you a spirit now or something?" - Kai quickly gave out.

When Kessia handed him the family tree, he was instantly paralysed with incredible spiritual and physical pain. Kai was focused only on himself, trying to bear the strain. What he felt was far worse than the torture of the Kings or the pressure of the array from the cave.

The pain seemed to eat away at his very soul and essence. Because of this, he didn't notice that the book had long since dissolved into thin air and entered the area between his eyebrows.

"Go into your Spiritual Sea." - Cassia calmly replied.

- What...? - Cai said aloud.

He instantly transferred his consciousness into his Spiritual Sea, finding himself in a familiar landscape.

Looking around, he suddenly saw that not far away from him, a scarlet book was floating above a large lake. It looked completely different now than when Kai had first seen it.

It seemed to be completely soaked in blood, and the space around it seemed to be distorted. It was the kind of thing you could see when looking into the distance during a heat wave. Except, this distortion was all around the book. It created a very beautiful and strange phenomenon.

- Have you travelled to my Spirit Sea?! - Shouted Kai.

Right now, with his consciousness, he was in the astral body. So, at this moment, he literally shouted and heard the outgoing sound.

- Haha, what did you think? I'm going to pass on the bloodline and die? I need a peaceful place to recover my strength.'' - A tantalising voice rang out.

At this moment, a lot of blood began to flow out of the book. It was literally pouring out in streams. But the scarlet liquid did not spread out, but began to form into a figure.

- Your astral body? - Kai asked.

- Exactly. - Came a voice in response from the cluster of blood.

Under Kai's gaze, the figure slowly began to take shape, then colour and texture. Even the beautiful and thin clothes were formed from blood.

At this moment, a girl of incredible beauty appeared before Kai! She looked to be around twenty years old. With an incredibly beautiful and petite body. The girl was about Kai's chin.

Examining her, Kai's jaw dropped involuntarily. She had slender arms and legs, but her medium sized breasts stood out. But the most beautiful thing was the girl's combination of colours and fairy-like features.

She had long scarlet hair that came down below her buttocks. It seemed to be a waterfall of blood. And her skin was like that of a porcelain doll, pale and silky.

"Haha, I'm pleased with your reaction." - Said Kessia and smiled.

When that happened, Kai felt like the floor was leaving under his feet for a second. He had been hardened in Asura's Hell and was no longer a virgin in the real world. But what he saw seemed unearthly. This girl was so beautiful that it was impossible to describe.

Such was the reaction caused by the combination of her smile, from which four sharp fangs were visible. Two each, at the top and bottom. And also her scarlet eyes, which were alluring, but at the same moment carried an incredible threat.

- My God... You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. - Kai said frankly.

Kessia even stopped for a second. She didn't seem to have expected such bluntness from Kai. But then, she smiled and continued walking towards him. It seemed that after Kai's words, her gaze changed slightly.

Any girl would be happy to hear such a compliment in her direction. Kessia liked Kai's phrase, she even cheered up a little.

- You're not just beautiful, you're unique! Oh! What's this?! - Shouted Kai and quickly ran up to the girl. Deftly tucking her hair behind her ear.

- Sharp... How unusual! And beautiful... - As if in a trance said Kai.

From such a quick change of events, Kessia didn't even have time to react. She had been imprisoned in the book for a very long time and was not used to contact with others.

- What are you doing?! Get the fuck out of here! - Shouted the girl, waving her hand.

At that moment, Kai felt the lightning strike and flew away from Kessia like a cannonball. Slowly getting up, he saw the girl holding her ear with a faint blush. At the same time, she was standing in a beautiful black dress that only emphasised all her advantages.

- Wow... I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. You're just really incredible! Now that I've watched a bit, I can already have a normal dialogue. Hahaha. - After saying that, Kai laughed while slowly standing up.

He didn't seem to be embarrassed at all by his straightforward behaviour. Kai was truly a free-spirited person. Both in judgement and in his actions.

- Okay, just act more sensible from now on... It seems I'll have to get used to you too... - The girl said a little irritated and quickly returned to her calm state.
