There was an incredible roar from Kai.
- Run forward or we will all die here! - Kai shouted and started to get up and run towards his team members.
The moment everyone realized that some damn thing was happening, plus hearing Kai's warnings, they started to run. Over the course of the journey, they had gotten used to Kai's words being heeded.
Practice showed that he was right in almost all cases!
Six people ran with all their legs. Five in front, and another one about twenty meters away from them.
When Kai was about to run into the tunnel there was another rumble.
"Duuuum!" - That sound immediately made him fall to his knees.
He wanted to get up quickly, but he realized that an incredibly strong energy was pulling him to the ground. And a moment later, he began to feel himself being pulled towards the center of the cave. He tried to resist with all his might.
When the five people ahead noticed that Kai had stopped running after them. They quickly turned around. They wanted to run to help.
- Stay where you are! - Kai shouted. He felt an incredible gravitational force pulling everything into the center of the room.
- Don't come any closer! Something strange is happening here! If you step out of the tunnel even one step, you'll be pulled in too! - Kai kept shouting.
- Brother Kai, wait, we'll think of something! Wait a bit! - Shouted back Roga.
Just as he wanted to approach, there was another rumble, but now with a strong surge of energy.
"Duuuuum! Wshuuuum!"- An incredible wave of energy exploded out, knocking everyone off their feet!
- Khaag! - At this moment, Kai spat out a large gulp of blood! He felt his entire body being squeezed by an incredible energy. He felt like the air was about to break him!
"Fuck! All my ribs are broken and my bones are cracking at the seams! I barely have time to regenerate! At this rate I'm going to die!" - Screamed Kai in his mind.
- Booooo! - Blood spurted from his mouth.
He began to spin his energy incredibly fast, catching two large stones of energy in his hands. Kai frantically began to absorb the energy and put all his energy into regeneration. He was literally absorbing one stone after another just to last a little longer and not die!
At this point, the guys from the group were able to regain consciousness and get to their feet. Looking at Kai, they were horrified.
- Oh my God... - Gontas couldn't utter a word.
Kai was lying under their gazes, bleeding and barely breathing. Blood was streaming from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. You could see with the naked eye how his ribcage was deformed. It seemed like every bone in his body was breaking.
Kai was incredibly resistant to pain. Although he was feeling incredible agony throughout his body right now, he was frantically trying to find options to get out of the situation. Squirming through the blood, he began to look around at his surroundings. He noticed that the suppression field, was beginning to expand.
"Damn..." - He thought.
-P...p..par...ni, be...gi. - he tried to say, -Kha. Cha. - He coughed up blood again. He summoned up the last of his strength, and shouted.
- Run! I'm not alive! Soon the field will reach you! Kggha! - Shouted in one breath and spit out blood Kai.
Everyone was now standing there with an incredibly fierce face. What they saw was simply horrifying. And the worst part was that they couldn't help it!
- Fuck! Fuck! Why did this happen! - Cussed Roga.
- What are we going to do?! - Asked Gontas. All of them could now feel the overwhelming energy field approaching them.
- Let's go! - Gritting his teeth and shaking with anger, Roga said. It seemed that if he could, he would switch places with Kai. But the world is cruel, and it doesn't care what you want.
- Brother Kai, we will never forget you! We're saying goodbye now, but wait for us in the next world! I promise you that I will never forget you! Goodbye! - Shouted Roga loudly, turned around and started running.
- Brother Kai, wait for us. I'm sorry for leaving you so soon! Shit!" shouted Gontas, and ran as well. In his heart, he felt an overwhelming disappointment. He felt like he had no right to do this. But the warrior world is cruel!
- Farewell Brother... Rest in peace... - Alisud and Verik said with frowns and heavy faces and ran after him.
Now each of the five who had fled were now defeated! How could the entire situation change so quickly! They were supposed to start an alliance! Shit!
Watching the fleeing men, Kai smiled in his heart. Since he couldn't move his facial muscles anymore.
"And you're good people... I'm glad I knew you. Fucking Luckless Luck, am I really going to die like this?" - Kai thought to himself.
"No! Stop! Stay conscious!" - Shouted Kai in his head. He gathered all his will into a fist, and continued to spin the energy.
He looked to see that there were many rocks lying near him, and out of his last strength he began to reach for them. Slowly he placed his hand on the stones and activated the energy vision. He began to frantically absorb all the energy at maximum speed. Watching it flow through all the channels, and throughout his body. In an extreme situation, his brain began to work to the max.
Kai watched every nuance of the energy, and began to notice subtle details and obstacles to its absorption. He immediately changed them and improved the flow of incoming energy.
Under such incredible strains, he was gambling with the energy with the stake of his life. Kai experimented in absorption, if he made an error in his judgment he would get a kickback and most likely die immediately.
Thus time flowed incredibly slowly. After a quarter of an hour, Kai felt that he could now at least prevent further destruction of his body, and hold life within him. Even though it was hanging on by a thread.
"Good... Good... We need to keep going like this! Maybe I can weather this storm! Come on Luck! Help me!" - Holding on to his consciousness for the last time, Kai thought.
And as soon as he thought it, he felt his body begin to be pulled into the center of the room with apparent speed.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me!" - Shouted Kai in his head.
He quickly began to rake in the stones of energy, pushing them behind his collar since he couldn't hold them.
But then! He felt himself being lifted into the air and pulled sharply towards the center of the cave. As he flew through the air, he felt all his broken bones crunching. It was an incredible agony! A mere master could have lost his mind from such a thing!
Kai began to feel the air around him as if it had begun to spin, and the picture in front of his eyes began to swim and distort.
"What the fuck is going on? Am I dying?" - Kai thought.
"Fuuuuum!" - There was a sharp sound, as if something huge at high speed flew through the air
At this moment, everything in front of Kai's eyes went dark and blurry. It was strange since he hadn't closed his eyes.
- What is this...f...?! - Before he could speak. His body felt as if it had been shot. He felt himself flying through the air at high speed.
And then! Punch!
- Kha! - He felt himself hit the wall with the back of his head and fell to the ground.
But the strange thing was that he could no longer feel the energy pressure. It was like he had finally waited out the storm!
"Thank fuck... Good thing at least I don't know how to..." - Kai's thought slowly began to fade away and he lost consciousness.
