Saint watched Aiden deep in pain and clenched his jaws with a smirk on his face. This wouldn't have happened if he had just accepted his stone. They probably would've been together if only Aiden had said yes to his proposal in the valley of promises. Rather, he betrayal him, tossed away his stone and made a fool out of him in front of the wolves.
Now look what had happened.
The same wolves he put so much trust in had betrayed him. They still stabbed him when he least expected and made him the bait.
He watched Aiden grunt in pain as the Direwolf agent lifted the chains wrapped around his wrist and allowed them to fall tactlessly, pulling at Aiden's wounds as he wailed in pain.
Who would ever believe that a vampire as special as Aiden was could be reduced to absolutely nothing before everyone. Completely humiliated as though his existence meant nothing.
