Aiden.
My heart thudded in the cages of my chest as Jordan stepped on the gas going very fast. He was speeding up as though we couldn't afford to waste one second, making me even more terrified.
I couldn't stop the questions that flooded my thoughts as I turned to him, fighting to hide the fear that ate away my composure with every passing second.
"He gets unnecessarily hot, why?" I asked Jordan who tightened his grip on the wheel of the car, causing his knuckles to turn yellow. My question seemed to make him uncomfortable.
"I don't have the answers". He tells me, taking his eyes from the road to me for a brief moment. "Bale is still a mystery to everyone... He's like a ticking bomb that can be triggered by anything".
He took his eyes back to the road as I struggled to calm my racing heart which seemed to have tripled the more we drove deeper into the humongous forestations towering over us left and right.
