Aiden.
"You should avoid them at all cost and keep a low profile today, do you understand?" Damien spoke with worried eyes as Salvador parked in front of the school premises.
I never thought I would be tested like this in my life the way I've been tested in just one day.
In just a day of living here, I've been pushed to the wall, my emotions have been fed on, and I've been riled consistently.
Because, water?
Water??
They could've tried anything. Anything at all. Any other means, but seriously??
They chose water??
Of all the four elements to kill a pure blooded vampire with, they chose to use water??!!
I feel so ashamed.
That's a slap on my face. An insult to my heirloom if I were to die from drowning.
If a vampire that wasn't pure-blooded was put in water they could last for about ten minutes but a pure blooded vampire?
I mean, I could last in water for about an hour or two.
And those assholes thought they could play with me in my sleeping state?
Oh, brother.
But at this point, that's the least of my worries. I just have one question.
Who were they?
Actually no, I heard just one voice so, it was a person.
So the right question is, who was trying to kill me?
I am lost in my thoughts that I don't realize we are in front of the school.
Salvador and Damien turn back to look at me like I was some lost cause. "You okay?"
Damien asked and I nodded immediately, coming back from my thoughts.
"We're here". He informs me.
"Oh,". I turn to look at my environment and he was right, we were in front of the school.
"I guess I'll see you later then". I tell them opening the door before sliding out, gesturing a hand as they drive off. "Have fun". Damien says.
With an exhale, I strode into the halls of Prestige High. Only this time, Jeremy and Ashley were not waiting for me.
Speaking of which I haven't seen Jeremy since he ditched his duties yesterday but that wasn't my concern.
They hallway was empty so I had assumed I was a bit early, but that was not the case when I realized I was very late.
The school had sent an academic calendar with my lecture time and venues but i got it a little bit late and was a bit disorganized after what happened in the early hours so I didn't have time to think and arrange myself.
Believe me, I'm not known for tardiness at all.
I get to the venue where we were supposed to be holding classes. I could hear the teacher's voice. The class had already began but I didn't give a shit.
I knock on the door before pushing it open. – it's a habit we Hellhawkers exhibit as we are known for taking control of minds.
In the early days we don't just invade people, we ask them first before entering their heads.
The teacher suddenly stops talking in reflex when I strode in as so many eyes greeted me.
I didn't bother with them since they don't matter to me, my eyes were on him only.
"Who are you?"
He asks me, putting his hand in the pocket of his pants as his gaze remained on me.
I raise my brow in confusion, thinking about so many appropriate things to say before finally concluding on the most obvious answer. "I'm a student?"
I tell him and everyone bursted out laughing, causing me to avert my gaze from him to them, suddenly taken aback by their numbers.
It is a very large class of approximately forty students if I'm guessing correctly.
The teacher didn't find it funny though, he found me arrogant instead, thanks to their laughter. "I know you're a student, idiot, but who the hell do you think you are barging into my class?"
Barging?
I didn't barge.
He asks and I suddenly realize that I hadn't introduce myself yet.
"I knocked". I corrected. "And My name is Aiden. I'm the new transfer student".
He scoffed. "A transfer student interrupted my class, isn't it ironic?" He turns to the class and everyone bursts out laughing again before he turns back to me.
"You're late". He tells me what I already know, taking a step towards me.
I try to explain to him "I know, I had a..."
"Lemme guess, you lost your way?" He cut me off, shaking his head. "Not buying that, try again with something reasonable or step out of my class".
Wow.
I take my eyes off him to the class and everyone is staring. I can't say something as foolish as "my room was flooded" that would just sound stupid. It's the truth, but it's just stupid.
"I lost track of time". I tell him, looking him in the eye. I didn't say anything else. He went silent. And after a few seconds he tells me "I'm only letting you off because you're new here, go fix yourself somewhere".
With a sharp exhale and a nod, I strolled into the class amidst the students and my eyes locked on hers instantly.
Ashley?
She managed a smile before gesturing me to sit next to her.
"Having problems keeping a low profile?"
Her eyes were on the teacher but her words were directed at me.
"My room turned into an ocean". I tell her and she looks at me instantly. "What?"
In that moment, the school bell went off, and the teacher walked out of the class but she didn't stop staring?
"Are you sure about this?" She asks me. Her eyes wary as though she knows something. But before she could say anything, a voice spoke from behind.
"Why wouldn't he be?"
Cameron came from behind, directing her words to me right after. "Was it refreshing?" Her laughter came next.
In no time, a few other students I don't know gathered around us as we were sitted in their midst.
I see the two werewolves from yesterday and they also had smiles on their faces.
So it was them?
